Woyld give it 5 stars but it crashes on fortnite all the time. Running normal modes nothin extra and the only software running is fortnite.

Performance is very good, laptop runs pretty cool, never seen temps rise above 90 degrees. The track pad was average to say the most. Speakers are okay.The most problematic thing was random stuttering while doing basic activities like browsing internet etc,for eg it took 2 seconds to close a window but the problem is solved when i shut down and restart.The other problem i faced is the browsers failing to load certain websites eg linkedin etc sometimes where i had to reset the browser settings to make it work, however i don't whether this is the laptops problem but i havent experienced such a thing in other devices.Its a great desktop replacement but heavy to carry around.It is the best value laptop to buy currently when compared to other brands

Mainly purchased this laptop for my computer science major, which has since turned into my school and gaming computer. For class work, I am able to run mutliple processes at the same time with no lag or over heating. Gaming, same thing. Running at highest settings, 3d rendering is smooth, no jitter, no missing pixels, processor and memory keeps up with anything I throw at it. This laptop replaced my 4 year old Alienware, which makes the Alienware look like a middle school issued run of the mill note taking laptop. I used to be a die hard Alienware purchaser, but this machine has fully won me over. Some complain about the fan noise, I always have a head set on, so i don't even notice it. The case stays cool when under heavy use, you can feel the air being blasted out the sides when the fan hits turbo. It's not to heavy or bulky for a laptop in the 18" class. It did take a little searching to find a bag that fit everything and was comfortable to carry on my back.The only draw back, which isn't a big deal to me, is that the battery life drops quickly when playing heavy games, when not plugged in, but what do you expect with the performance this machine is putting out. Highly recommend.

There are plenty of well thought out and well written reviews for this laptop so ill let my excitement take the reigns. The predator helios 18 is an ABSOLUTE MONSTER and i cannot be more happy with my purchase!!!! If youre on the fence, stop right now and buy this laptop! The 18" screen is incredible and the power of this gaming laptop is unreal and WILL handle anything you throw at it. You will not get more bang for your buck at this price range as it has everything you need for modern gaming and current titles. This bad boy is selling for $3,000 on amazon so scoop it up here at best buy! This laptop has THE BEST i9 mobile processor for gaming and the rtx 4080 is a beast of a GPU along with 32gb of ddr5 ram. Its literally all you need. If youre reading this review, JUST BUY IT! I promise you will not be disappointed. Two demanding games ive played so far on ultra settings is Enshrouded and six days in Fallujah and this beastly machine didnt even break a sweat! I sat here for days trying to decide on what gaming laptop to buy and i am so happy i bought this one. If youre sitting there right now doing the same thing i did..... seriously just stop and add it to your cart and checkout. I promise you will NOT regret it.

Laptop performs well and works fine for prolonged gaming sessions as long as it’s plugged in. It does have a short battery life while gaming but is to be expected with the gpu power draw. Also gives off a fair amount of heat so I’d invest in a cooling pad

Not a expert by any means that being said i have been a pc gamer fore years. this laptop has the power to run the games you love. the cost is also great for what you are getting. play ARK with settings on high around 120fps.BO6 at around 190fps. the build quality is also something to rave about . the pc dose not fill cheep it is very solid. i would 100% recommend.

This is my first real gaming setup. My tech savvy bf helped me set it up to optimize performance but I really like it. It’s pretty heavy and the charger is huge but I’m coming from using a MacBook so I’m just not used to gaming laptops. The screen does well in the sun with no glare. The light setup and cooling fan setting are pretty cool and customizable. I got it for sale around $2225 all included with tax and such. You need to keep it plugged in if you’re playing games and we have it at the healthy battery mode of 80% at all times. I played without the charger one time and it didn’t last very long but that’s just how these laptops are like. I’m glad I can finally play any game I want!

Zero issues. Good graphics. Runs well. Impressive packaging too. Battery life contingent on activity. Automatically switches to GPU if necessary, which burns through the battery if unplugged.

14900 paired with a 4080 even though its a mobile GPU the power of this laptop is simply amazing. Im currently playing Marvel Rivals and max out the 1440p 240hz( getting 280fps. ) plays any game i tried. CP2077 gets about 110fps 1440p.

Excellent fast and amazing display. Acer’s Predator Helios 18 doesn’t do too much to separate itself from the pack, for better or worse. This category of mega-laptop, inherent in the components and cost, presumes a high baseline of power and features, and the Helios 18 meets those marks. It’s a generally well-made, extremely fast laptop with an advanced display and some fancy extras, like its super-size competitors. It avoids any major pitfalls, and while it equally lacks a standout claim in design or performance, it's the least expensive of the batch.

Laptop is amazing. But don't expect Best Buy to honor Nvidia promotions even when they list it on their website as a GWP. Was supposed to come with a code for the new Indiana Jones game. Well something happened to where i got no code for the game on the receipt, or in an email oh but they'll give me the free trial of Nitro...lol. and they ABSOLUTLEY REFUSE to give me the promotion they had listed as a GWP on the Best buy website. I've bought insane amounts of things here, and for them to toss me away like that with absolutely zero help besides "i will put in a case to corporate for you"(that was over a week ago) over a $100 game code after i bought a $2500 laptop...... I'm finding somewhere else to shop for my big boy toys.

The video is great -- the bigger screen size definitely helps. The default audio was "tinny" as is usual for laptops, but the included DTS app allowed me to use an equalizer function to reset base, midrange, and treble to my satisfaction and now sounds really good. The only downside to this laptop is that it runs warm to hot, even at lighter usage -- which always concerns me for shorter component life. I got around this by buying a USB powered laptop cooler, which helps reduce CPU and GPU temperatures by about 15-20C degrees. I purchased this on sale and recommend it, especially if it goes on sale again, but be sure to use a laptop cooler.

This Laptop can do any and everything you can throw at it. Took a little while to not compare it to my pervious one and after I could get over what It did not have, I really started enjoying the performance it’s bringing to the table. Definitely worth the purchase if your old machine is having a hard time with the specs these new games run. Definitely worth the buy what are you waiting for?

The laptop runs great. The games are smooth and excellent details. Graphics card is awesome.

Excellent price, was a little bit of a pain to setup with the on board "Predator Sense" program being a real hassle for a really limited management software option. It's cheaper than other laptops with the same specs by far and it shows in the fan volume and lack of customization in the performance software, I am however happy with the purchase, it does perform well overall, the lighting is great, the look is super nice. I would recommend it. The biggest issue to beware of, (good luck finding a case for it).

After 90 days, 4 alienware m18r2 laptops, and hours wasted with Dell/Alienware support i swapped it for this beast. Not only has it worked correctly, at correct temps, it is quiet and takes up less room than the lackluster competitors. Would buy again, would suggest others buy this as well. Super happy with this purchase!

good strong laptop, best buy and fed ex also was able to have it shipped to me 4-5 days earlier than they said it would be. i got it 1-2 days after ordering. i had originally bought an acer nitro 16 on amazon and it had numerous problems and was slowish and sluggy. but i have no issues with this beast and the keyboard is amazing, i love the colors. i also dropped it from like 2 feet on its corner and the laptop chipped the wall bottom panel lol. it seems still perfect as ever. strong lil trucker she is.
