I am very much satisfied with this purchase. I am relatively new to PC gaming, so I wasn't sure about what kind of laptop would be best for me but this one is perfect so far. I have used this laptop for both gaming and completing college work. I absolutely love it. However, I will say is that it pretty much has to be plugged in at all times or else the battery drains very fast. This is obviously normal for gaming, but I can only do school work for about an hour until I have to plug it in again. There also isn't a lot of storage space on it so if you're looking to have a ton of large games all at once, then this probably isn't the laptop for you. I've had to uninstall a few games here and there to make room for new ones and normally I wouldn't care but I live in the middle of nowhere with very crappy wifi, so reinstalling large games can take several hours or even days. But like i said, I still love the laptop and I think it is a perfect fit for me, definitely would recommend!

I’ve only had one gaming laptop previous to this one so maybe I’m not super qualified to rate this but I’ve really liked it so far. I’ve had it for about a month now and haven’t run into any problems. It runs every game perfectly, even at max graphics I haven’t had any issues (except it does get a little warm for sure, but nothing concerning). The battery isn’t amazing but that isn’t surprising for a gaming laptop. I’ve really liked it and would recommend it!

This is my second one I have purchased for my household within the last couple years. This is a quality product. Plays all the games that I want it to and I even do some graphic design and DevOps activities on it. Great for the price, a steal if its on sale.

From a purely spec/components perspective, this is a great little machine to have; - 16" WUXGA 165Hz IPS screen - Intel i5-13500HX - GeForce RTX 4050 - 16GB DDR5 - 512GB SSD These specs will provide great gaming experience for whatever game you got. I've been playing Destiny 2 and RDR2 on here and it's been flawless. Screen provides nice, crisp colors and the processor/GPU keep up with even max settings on these two games. With this laptop, you get all the I/O ports you'll need to connect your devices. You get HDMI and thunderbolt connections in the back, Ethernet, USB 3.0 and MicroSD and headphone port on the left side and two more USB-C ports and cable lock on the right side. The biggest draw for this laptop is going to be the price. It's comfortably priced where you can get good components while not breaking the bank on a $2500-$3000 laptop. RAM is upgradeable as is the HD however I haven't looked into doing that just yet. For a ~$1000 laptop, I don't think you can really beat this considering the components and performance of this laptop.

Very chunky laptop but thats what i get for wanting a 40 series gpu. Runs 90% of AAA games disgustingly smooth, im pouring myself into Helldivers 2 thank you very much. Only downside is the size/weight and the fact that it runs on Windows 11.

Original laptop we got burnt out for some reason, we brought it in and on the way we noticed it had been tampered with, the serial number had been scratched out. Geek squad recomeded we return and get a new laptop so we did, we noticed the new laptop had stickers we hadnt gotten with the first one and there was packing that wasnt on the first computer as well. Not sure what happened with the first one but the new one works perfectly. Laptop cant run high quality without being pluged in, it works like a regular laptop if it isnt pluged in, works like an ok gaming pc if pluged in however, good for on the go gaming.

Great computer, predator sense had a flaw one time though where it couldnt detect my fans ar all or anything and wouldn't let me change my keyboard settings or do anything with it. I had to reset my computer 3 times and spent 6 hours messing with things for it to work again. The laptop itself is great, you can have ur fans down and quiet or turn them up to max, youll hear them and feel the cool/warm air coming out. The keyboard feels nice and for the little bit ive used the touchpad it seems responsive. I love the graphics card, i can play Helldivers 2 on max and still get like 100FPS

I purchased this strictly to run UEFN I don’t pc game anymore but it renders UEFN very well and loads it flawless so if you’re looking for a budget friendly computer to use UEFN this one does the trick I’m sure it’s great at games as well the customization of the keyboard colors is simple and the customization of the processor speeds and other parameters is super simple and user friendly absolutely no problems overheating running UEFN temps stay nice and low I run a usb cooling station so I can’t say much about battery life I use it more like a desktop overall for the price it’s excellent

Best Gaming Laptop in Price Range

I spent ages agonizing over what laptop to buy without breaking the bank, and eventually this emerged as the clear choice. Have been beyond satisfied with it - it runs the latest video games like a dream, and looks gorgeous doing it. 10/10, especially for the price. I don't think you're going to find the same level of processing power and graphics in similarly-priced options. Some people in reviews have complained about the speakers - and I have no idea what they're talking about. I usually have to play on 30% volume, as it totally fills up the room. I can still hear background music playing upstairs when I've left it on and I'm downstairs.

Great midrange gaming laptop with lots of features

This Acer Predator Helios Neo 16" WUXGA 165Hz IPS Gaming Laptop with Intel i5-13500HX, GeForce RTX 4050 dedicated graphics with 16GB DDR5 RAM, and 512GB SSD in Steel Gray is a pretty solid gaming laptop. The graphics are great with bright and clear colors, deep blacks and grays, and a 3ms response time. The Nvidia graphic’s can be customized to certain games. It also has the G-Sync, which is a technology that allows the display’s refresh rate to sync with the frame rate, instead of the other way around. It makes for a much better experience. The processor is an Intel i5, which is a midrange processor that does a really good job with a lot of the games that I play. I play role playing games, shooter games, and racing games the most. The memory is 16GB installed in 2 8GB sticks. The sticks can be upgraded to 2 16GB sticks. There is an extra M.2 expansion slot allowing for another super high speed SSD drive. The ports on the laptop are HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4 type C, DC-in jack, Kensington Lock Slot, MicroSD card reader, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (2) up to 10 Gbps with one for power off charging, USB 3.2 Gen 1, RJ45 Ethernet port, and headset/speaker port. The sound is pretty good on the laptop, but I use a headset to game. The noise level is pretty low in Daily Use Mode, and in Gaming Mode, it’s still not too noisy. There is a Mode button on the top of the keyboard that allows you to change modes. The keyboard RGB lighting is customizable in several ways. It’s really cool. The battery life isn’t too bad, but it’s not the greatest. It lasted about 3.5 to 4 hours while gaming. The PredatorSense lets you monitor your system performance and customize your experience. All in all this is a pretty good midrange gaming laptop.

Had this laptop for almost over a year, I use it for college, engineering homework, emails and the occasional video game. Can confirm the battery life is outstanding, I can run whatever game I want, very mobile and reliable. The only thing I'd say about it is the fan can get pretty loud if it gets chugging and Acer is terrible at writing manuals or giving info. Otherwise, great laptop, best one you can get for your money in this day and age.

This is my first gaming PC. I really like it. It has a large matte screen that reduces glare. I love finally being able to buy any game without fear of my computer not being able to run it. The only negative I have is the battery life. It seems to need to be plugged in constantly. I hear that's normal for gaming laptops, but it's frustrating. I went with a laptop so I could take it anywhere, but now I'm restricted. The only other thing I miss from my old computer is Windows Hello. It kinda sucks that a $1000+ computer doesn't have it. This one does, however, have a numerical keypad so I can type my pin faster than my previous laptop. I still would've liked Window's Hello though. Overall I really like this laptop and have been using a lot for gaming, 3D printing, and crafting. I don't regret my purchase.

Honestly out the box this thing has been really great. I don't mind the RGB, but I am sure that is for someone. My roommate and I bought it so I had a travel gaming laptop, and she had something powerful enough to run her art software on. 16GB of RAM out of the door was more than enough for what I've used it for, and she said that she's able to load most of her Adobe Illustrator files with no more issues than the program gives her desktop. Good little laptop!

This is exactly what I was looking for, works flawlessly and was very affordable for what you get. I wanted to play Baldur's Gate 3 and this laptop really did the trick. The stock keyboard it comes with has a lot of different options and the overall scheme for the PC can be adjusted however you want, really allowing you to style it after your personality. It is also great for any productivity work as I use it regularly for graduate school classes.
