Don’t get me wrong — this laptop is super powerful, and you don’t have to worry about whether it’ll run next-gen games. The price is insanely good (I got mine for $999).
That said, performance-wise, it’s only around the level of an RTX 5060 Ti — which isn’t bad, but considering that a desktop 5060 Ti costs way less, it’s a bit disappointing. You can unlock undervolting to squeeze out a bit more performance and improve heat management, but it takes some tweaking and isn’t straightforward for everyone.
Other downsides include the screen being locked at 240 Hz, the battery lasting around four hours or less depending on what you’re doing, and formatting? Forget it. The BIOS has VMD enabled — and the worst part? It’s hidden. You’ll need to go into the BIOS and press Ctrl + S to deactivate it.
Fan and heat management could definitely be better out of the box, but honestly, you get what you pay for. As for the speakers… I could probably buy better ones on SHEIN or AliExpress.
Overall, I’m not complaining — it’s been a great deal from the start, and I don’t plan on changing laptops for the next 5–8 years. Final score: 7/10.

I’ve only had this laptop a few weeks. However, it has met all my expectations. The speed has been awesome; almost seamless. The display is great. I do wish it was slightly bigger but that is splitting hairs. I haven’t thoroughly tested the battery longevity, but so far haven’t seen any issues. Overall I have been very happy with this machine.

I am extremely happy with this laptop. The performance is fast, the screen is clear and bright, and the battery lasts for many hours without any problems. It handles multitasking, browsing, and work applications smoothly. The build quality is solid and it looks premium. Definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable laptop.

This was a direct replacement for a nightmare of a laptop. My previous Asus ROG Strix G17 was the worst laptop I've ever owned. Lock ups, freezes, spontaneous reboots, a $400 repair that didn't resolve the issue. That thing went in the trash the moment I pulled out the SSDs and RAM upgrades the day this Acer came home.
There is occasionally a weird quirk where running on battery is kind of laggy, but I think it's due not switching between video cards properly or the power profile. Most of the time it's fine so I just let it run on battery now and then to condition it. It may not be the fastest for high frame rates in gaming, but it's been great for my web browsing, streaming, and 3D rendering for my printer. I don't "need" a gaming laptop, but I wanted the speed for future app/OS upgrades that inevitably slow things down and the backlit keyboard for working in the dark. This has been perfect for that, hasn't slowed down or had any of the issues I suffered through with the old laptop. I have a Macbook Pro from work, and I nearly got one of those to replace the Asus because it was so much better. I bought this Acer, and the screen is as good as the Mac IMO so I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Love the computer. I'm not a huge gamer so the neutered video card doesn't bother me. As an overall work horse do all machine it does pretty well. OLED screen pops for entertainment and runs smooth as butter. If you want highest FPS this isn't it, but if you're ok with just good graphics and not excellent it fits the bill good in a portable package.

The 5070TI under performs because of the intel processor heat. I was able to undervolt the cpu a bit giving the gpu a more stable boost.
Screen is perfect.
The acer app button needs a way of being disabled. its right in the middle of everything and to easy to press for something that is setup once and forget it.

A very powerful laptop, great screen, and it's good for a student. The battery is the weakest point and it's kind of noisy, but I will recommend it for sure as a great, reliable laptop.

I purchased the laptop before Christmas but only last week set it up. It’s a beautiful sleek gaming laptop that is lighter and much better performing than my current laptop. Seems very stable so far although I haven’t really had a chance to put it through serious testing.

Solid laptop, no issues whatsoever and handles everything I throw at it. Screen is beautiful. Only thing that could have been better is the speakers, definitely recommend headphones instead.

My son recently bought the Acer - Predator Neo 16S AI Gaming Laptop - 16" OLED 24OHz - Intel Core Ultra 9 - NVIDIA GeForce RTZ 5070Ti - 1TB - Obsidian Black. He likes it so far. The battery life is pretty bad and now e need to buy a fan because it overheats quickly, but otherwise he likes it,

This unit can handle any game thrown at it. The 5070ti graphics card and Ultra 9 275HX processor work well together to produce some of the best gaming I've ever done. The framerate for any game i've tried is very good also, even on max graphic settings, which pairs well with the OLED display. Hard to ignore this kind of performance for the cheaper price

Got it and currently testing this. Can’t beat price to performance. Max wattage is 115. Capped at 240Hz plugged or unplugged. Screen is glossy which I’m not a big fan of but man do the colors look good. It’s thinner than my previous laptop. I keep my laptops plugged so the battery life is not an issue for me.

Pretty much exactly what you would expect for the price. Works as promised with all cons being incredibly minor and typical with laptop. I use it to play Star Citizen which is considered one of the hardest video games to run in the world. Runs fine for me at a easy 50-80 fps and looks very nice with the oled screen

Coming at this review as a pretty casual consumer who uses this laptop mainly for indies, cozy games, and Fortnite- this thing is a beast. My old desktop doesn’t come close to this laptop’s performance and the screen is gorgeous. I only use it plugged in on a flat surface so I can’t really speak to battery life or even heat management, but I’ve never noticed super loud fans or it being hot to the touch. For the price, this thing is amazing and I have no regrets.
I would recommend this to a friend

High-End Gaming Laptop: A Value for Money, But..

This high-end gaming laptop offers an exceptional value for money. However, it is crucial to exercise caution when folding the laptop while it is powered on. I encountered an issue where the screen became blocked out upon folding it back open, causing the laptop’s fans to accelerate and generate excessive heat. Fortunately, this incident occurred only once, and I was able to turn off the laptop after it had drained its battery. It is possible that this was a temporary glitch, or perhaps it is advisable to avoid turning on the laptop when it has only 10% battery remaining.

Love that sleek and understated look that just look and feels premium. It's thin and packs a HX processor, which was a surprise considering the thickness. The thermals is amazing. (This is my second gaming notebook that I've bought this year for me and my kid, and it is far better than the one that cost over $1k more of the same GPU/CPU, and significantly thicker in March with pre-order).
I'm also glad that I didn't see earlier reviews, otherwise, I would've bought at the full MSRP, which is a great value at MSRP especially compare to its nearest comp. Yes, it would be a steal at full MSRP. My complaint is that my nearest Best Buy was out of stock earlier this year when I was ready to buy.
The display is incredibly vivid, with ultra high color gamut, and 240Hz matches perfectly with the RTX5070Ti GPU.
Even on the smaller things in life like Thunderbolt and Type C, I really appreciate that Acer enabled one of the Type C with direct dGPU connection. My other gaming notebook from Best Buy had both connected to iGPU (hated it).
I do play mostly on external displays, and appreciate the dGPU Type C and Power is on the back, and makes the cable management clean.
The built quality is great, but what really made me happy was that I got far far far more performance than other thin chassis that cost much more. My only regret was that I wish Best Buy would've had this unit much earlier. Could've saved me a few thousand dollars from my first RTX5070Ti that I bought before reviews existed (different brand).
Battery life, yes, it is a gaming notebook, and I have no issues with it.
Overall, this is the best gaming notebook that I had purchased and love the performance, display, and quality of this product.

I'm absolutely blown away by this laptop! The performance is insane, and the graphics are stunning. I've played some of the most demanding games on the market, and this laptop handles them with ease. The display is gorgeous, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on. The battery life is better than expected, and the design is sleek and portable. I've had zero issues with overheating or lag. This laptop is a beast! Highly recommend to any serious gamer out there.

Amazing laptop, loud when plugged in, quiet when not. I bought this as workstation laptop for university graduate work. Great price point! Love that it as 24 cores, especially.
