A very powerful laptop, great screen, and it's good for a student. The battery is the weakest point and it's kind of noisy, but I will recommend it for sure as a great, reliable laptop.

Coming at this review as a pretty casual consumer who uses this laptop mainly for indies, cozy games, and Fortnite- this thing is a beast. My old desktop doesn’t come close to this laptop’s performance and the screen is gorgeous. I only use it plugged in on a flat surface so I can’t really speak to battery life or even heat management, but I’ve never noticed super loud fans or it being hot to the touch. For the price, this thing is amazing and I have no regrets.

This high-end gaming laptop offers an exceptional value for money. However, it is crucial to exercise caution when folding the laptop while it is powered on. I encountered an issue where the screen became blocked out upon folding it back open, causing the laptop’s fans to accelerate and generate excessive heat. Fortunately, this incident occurred only once, and I was able to turn off the laptop after it had drained its battery. It is possible that this was a temporary glitch, or perhaps it is advisable to avoid turning on the laptop when it has only 10% battery remaining.

Got it and currently testing this. Can’t beat price to performance. Max wattage is 115. Capped at 240Hz plugged or unplugged. Screen is glossy which I’m not a big fan of but man do the colors look good. It’s thinner than my previous laptop. I keep my laptops plugged so the battery life is not an issue for me.

Love that sleek and understated look that just look and feels premium. It's thin and packs a HX processor, which was a surprise considering the thickness. The thermals is amazing. (This is my second gaming notebook that I've bought this year for me and my kid, and it is far better than the one that cost over $1k more of the same GPU/CPU, and significantly thicker in March with pre-order).
I'm also glad that I didn't see earlier reviews, otherwise, I would've bought at the full MSRP, which is a great value at MSRP especially compare to its nearest comp. Yes, it would be a steal at full MSRP. My complaint is that my nearest Best Buy was out of stock earlier this year when I was ready to buy.
The display is incredibly vivid, with ultra high color gamut, and 240Hz matches perfectly with the RTX5070Ti GPU.
Even on the smaller things in life like Thunderbolt and Type C, I really appreciate that Acer enabled one of the Type C with direct dGPU connection. My other gaming notebook from Best Buy had both connected to iGPU (hated it).
I do play mostly on external displays, and appreciate the dGPU Type C and Power is on the back, and makes the cable management clean.
The built quality is great, but what really made me happy was that I got far far far more performance than other thin chassis that cost much more. My only regret was that I wish Best Buy would've had this unit much earlier. Could've saved me a few thousand dollars from my first RTX5070Ti that I bought before reviews existed (different brand).
Battery life, yes, it is a gaming notebook, and I have no issues with it.
Overall, this is the best gaming notebook that I had purchased and love the performance, display, and quality of this product.

Amazing laptop, loud when plugged in, quiet when not. I bought this as workstation laptop for university graduate work. Great price point! Love that it as 24 cores, especially.

I'm absolutely blown away by this laptop! The performance is insane, and the graphics are stunning. I've played some of the most demanding games on the market, and this laptop handles them with ease. The display is gorgeous, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on. The battery life is better than expected, and the design is sleek and portable. I've had zero issues with overheating or lag. This laptop is a beast! Highly recommend to any serious gamer out there.
*Pros:*
- Exceptional performance
- Stunning display
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
- Sleek design
*Would I buy again?* Absolutely!

I was in the market for a new laptop, and I spoke with a sales rep at my local store as I was browsing one day. He recommended I check this laptop out for the value, and I was impressed after seeing side-by-side comparisons with this and several other laptops. The display is the real standout feature. It is phenomenal, and the lack of ability to shift down from 240 mhz has not impacted performance for any of my gaming. Battery life is about average or maybe slightly below for a gaming laptop, but you don’t buy one for the extensive battery life. Great performance, fantastic display, and great value!

I wanted a laptop that I could do both work and play. This one seemed to fit the bill. For the price, it has a very good processor, expandable ram, and Oled screen. For work, this breezes through ms office, and any other work apps you are using without breaking a sweat. For gaming this machine is a BEAST. I had to research a lot of machines, understand processors and their hierarchies and generations and what level or ram is needed for smooth gaming. This machine gives you that.
With 32 gb stock ram, the games download fast (depending on your download speed) and run easy. Acer gives you an additional spot to add another 32 and make it 64 g machine. The oled screen is so perfect, the colors, the contrast, the detail and it has a high refresh rate at 240hz. The other machines were offering half that at 120. The higher the refresh rate, the easier on the eyes. Moreover this machine is eye safe certified. Digital eye strain is real. You feel it after. My old machines (non gaming) would always irritate my eyes. So far since my purchase I can look on the screen with ease and this is HUGE plus for me.
The keyboard has a number pad that is compact and handy. You can change the backlit patterns too. The only criticism I have is that the fans are loud and the machine gets warm quick. You will definitely need a quality cooling pad. The battery life isn't good because the processor consumes a lot of energy. Lastly, 1 tb will fill quick so think about getting a separate hard drive to add more games.

An exceptional laptop at a great price.
The highlights are the oled panel that delivers incredible picture quality along with the rtx 5070 ti that gives it outstanding proformance in competitive titles.

I like this laptop a lot, had a bulky 18 inch Alienware and wanted a OLED, happy i made the switch. I like the chassis and screen a lot. CPU and GPU for this price point is almost unheard of.
My biggest complaint by far and it could just be me because i don't use headphones are the speakers. They are awful. I mean 2006 office pc awful.
They kill the immersion. I will still be keeping because everything else outweighs this one negative but if this is a big deal to you dont buy! They are horrific.
One more side note, the laptop is stuck in 240hz and the battery dies very quickly because of that. Im hoping its not the panel and will be fixed with a BIOS update, but we will see.

Im just going to get into why i returned this laptop. 1. I play rocket league and the game kept stuttering and it was playing slightly choppy. I lowered settings and optimized the game through nvidia app and tired shutting down background tasks and still nothing. The fans also kept ramping but thats understandable because its a thin laptop. 2. When i would close the laptop screen so it would go into sleep mode when i would re open it would not function properly. I had to restart the laptop everytime i did that for it to work properly. 3. The speakers were by far the absoute worst garbage to be ever put onto a modern electronic device, terrible. 4. The cpu and gpu wattage is limited because its a thin laptop, might as well go for a 5070 version it would be close to that performance but it does have more vram. 5. Sometimes when i would launch a game through steam it would gray screen on me and freeze up for 1 minute. I had to end task and when i would click to open the game again the same thing would happen. Had to restart to get it to launch. I purchased the lenovo legion pro 7i instead with the same exact specs and i have none of these issues. Sure i paid a bit more for the lenovo but its worth it Plus the screen gets brighter on the lenovo. This is not a bad laptop for the price but its a good thing i got the lenovo to compare and now i know there are other laptops out there that do it much better for a little more money.

The Bees Kneez. Nothing else comes close to the price. The performance for a laptop is insane. The fans are loud, but they keep this thing extremely cool for a gaming laptop with this much power. At first listen, the speakers are absolute K9 excrement, but once i turn of the sound effects and equalizers and used them plainly, they were ok, still the worst performing component.

On paper the specs for the price is fantastic, beautiful OLED screen and 12gb 5070Ti along with a sufficient 32gb ram for under $2k is great. It's much slimmer and lighter than the non-S Neo16, both the laptop itself and the power brick.
Downsides: refresh rate of the monitor is locked at 240 Hz so power consumption even doing web browsing or word processing type tasks is poor. Really wish they would give the option or automatically toggle to 60hz while on the igpu. Secondly, the power brick connections are bad. I went through 2 Helio Neos both with the same issue. At least the connector on the back of the Slim version clicks in more securely than the non-slim version. But both were touchy and would require unplug/replug at least half the time I turn on the laptop. I think with how great the specs are, Acer couldn't cut costs on things like the GPU or processor, so unquantifiable things like the charging cord is where they found ways to cut costs, unfortunately. Hopefully even with the annoyance of unplugging and replugging and making sure not to touch the power cord, it'll keep working as long as expected.
Temperatures aren't bad, I stay under 75°C while gaming even without a fan dock.

Absolutely love this laptop, price to performance without a sale I feel like is already amazing! Got it on Black Friday sale and the oled with the 5070 TI I literally can run anything!

Bought this for my son for school and gaming (mostly gaming, not going to lie, but he does do his homework on it) and I am extremely jealous. The graphics and processing speed and insane. This powerhouse of a laptop is an absolute workhorse and can play any game. It is worth the price tag.

Bought for $1,449. No other laptops come even remotely close to the same price for the performance. Just don't plan on using it for very long without the charging cable.
