Amazing gaming machine for such a good price. Got it while it was on sale for $1450. The OLED screen looks so good, plenty of RAM, and very powerful cpu/gpu combo. I was pleasently suprised by how light weight it is and the build quality is actually pretty nice. May not be G14 quality, but for $600 less (with practically the same specs) i am not complaining. Battery life does suffer do to unchangeable refresh rate, but an update could change that in the future. You will not be dissapointed with this laptop for whatever your needs are!

I've had this laptop for about a month now and it certainly lives up to expectations. It's fast and smooth, the picture quality is fantastic. It can run every game I've tried so far without issue. If you are actively gaming, the battery will drain quickly (~45 mins-an hour of battery life), which is expected. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

The laptop is great overall, it’s the fastest and highest quality laptop I’ve ever owned. My only complaint is the battery life, it doesnt last very long so if your gaming you usually have to leave it plugged in. Depending on the game you’re playing it might go from 100% to 1% in under one hour.

This laptop is a great powerhouse. gaming, school work, it runs so much faster than our MSI that it replaced. We have had it 1 month and it is great. the only thing to be aware of is the keyboard placement is a little tricky to get used to. When I use my son's laptop I really struggle with getting used to typing etc on it. but a kid that uses it every day will adjust faster.

This gaming laptop is a machine designed for serious gaming, not just for "running games." The design reflects this focus: solid construction, good ventilation, and a well-balanced mix of gamer aesthetics and understated elegance. It doesn't scream "lights" everywhere, but it definitely exudes power. Gaming performance is outstanding. Current titles run smoothly at high settings, maintaining stable FPS rates even during long sessions. The CPU and GPU combination is well-tuned, with no noticeable bottlenecks, resulting in a consistent experience in both competitive shooters and demanding AAA games. The screen is one of its greatest strengths. It boasts a good refresh rate, which is immediately noticeable in fast-paced games: smoother movements, better responsiveness, and a clear advantage in competitive titles. Colors are vibrant, and the contrast is well-balanced, making games feel immersive without sacrificing sharpness. As for temperatures, the cooling system performs adequately. It does get warm under load—like any gaming laptop—but maintains performance without aggressive throttling. The fans are audible when necessary, but they do their job: prioritizing stability over silence, which is exactly what you'd expect in this segment. The keyboard is clearly designed for gaming. It offers good key travel, a firm response, and a comfortable layout for long sessions. The trackpad takes a backseat, as it should on a gaming laptop, although it's still responsive enough for everyday use. The battery life is adequate for light tasks, but realistically, this machine is built to be played while plugged in. And when it is, it delivers its full potential without reservation.

This laptop is a insane value for what they give you. The RAM isn't bad at all with two 16GB sticks - 32GB CL52-51-51 @ 6400mhz-. She does get hot, and loud with Turbo mode but, that's to be expected running an i9 Ultra 256k and a 5070Ti. I would not play high graphics games while having on my lap lol. Though the display might make ya bc the image is CRISP!!!! I ABSOLUTLEY recommend!

If you're looking for a gaming laptop this is probably the most ideal for performance and price. I also use this laptop for work related and have not had a single problem. My only complaint would be the battery life but if gaming the battery will drain fairly fast depending on settings. As far as work related or school related the battery is fine.

Good laptop overall. I was between the legion 7i and this one. I got the acer just because it had better specs. Yes it has some problems like not being able to change the Hz and overheating sometime but I think it’s worth it for the price.

This is a very good entry-level gaming computer great specs performs well stays cool the fan is louder than an airplane taking off so I had to return it and went with Lenovo Legion 5080 model which is more expensive but you pay for the price in longevity, build quality and durability and all specs overall, but if your looking for a budget this is the best bang for buck gaming PC that holds up with competition of the other brand names go with this one!!

I’ve only had this laptop a few weeks. However, it has met all my expectations. The speed has been awesome; almost seamless. The display is great. I do wish it was slightly bigger but that is splitting hairs. I haven’t thoroughly tested the battery longevity, but so far haven’t seen any issues. Overall I have been very happy with this machine.

    Great Deal, Mid-Range Performance

Don’t get me wrong — this laptop is super powerful, and you don’t have to worry about whether it’ll run next-gen games. The price is insanely good (I got mine for $999). That said, performance-wise, it’s only around the level of an RTX 5060 Ti — which isn’t bad, but considering that a desktop 5060 Ti costs way less, it’s a bit disappointing. You can unlock undervolting to squeeze out a bit more performance and improve heat management, but it takes some tweaking and isn’t straightforward for everyone. Other downsides include the screen being locked at 240 Hz, the battery lasting around four hours or less depending on what you’re doing, and formatting? Forget it. The BIOS has VMD enabled — and the worst part? It’s hidden. You’ll need to go into the BIOS and press Ctrl + S to deactivate it. Fan and heat management could definitely be better out of the box, but honestly, you get what you pay for. As for the speakers… I could probably buy better ones on SHEIN or AliExpress. Overall, I’m not complaining — it’s been a great deal from the start, and I don’t plan on changing laptops for the next 5–8 years. Final score: 7/10.

Black acreen (bsod) and freeze restarting

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This product, while having a beautiful display and steong gpu, absolutely loves to lock itself. Black screens where it wont turn them on yet the keyboard is lighting up like when it restarts. Often hangs itself like that where you have to force restart it. After closing a game or a few minutes in, will crash without a bsod and restart itself. It's decently weighty as well, so not exactly great for a laptop on the go but good if you travel snd plan to keep it set in specific places for extended periods of time. Not for college or always on the go per say. It has power and the fans can get loud. Max fan is around 6-7k which is like a roar. Multiple gaming profiles to set up auto-scenrio for apps, like gaming and having specific apps like Cod set beneath it. Battery life is terrible. Even with no games going, setting the energy saver mode with all its recs, maybe 3-4 hours for basic processes. They keyboard is nice and the predator app isnt bad. The keyboard gets really hot just from idiling around the asd keys and more so around l,p keys. Sound is decent, mostly loud when on startup due to the booting and logo unskippable cutscene.

This was a direct replacement for a nightmare of a laptop. My previous Asus ROG Strix G17 was the worst laptop I've ever owned. Lock ups, freezes, spontaneous reboots, a $400 repair that didn't resolve the issue. That thing went in the trash the moment I pulled out the SSDs and RAM upgrades the day this Acer came home. There is occasionally a weird quirk where running on battery is kind of laggy, but I think it's due not switching between video cards properly or the power profile. Most of the time it's fine so I just let it run on battery now and then to condition it. It may not be the fastest for high frame rates in gaming, but it's been great for my web browsing, streaming, and 3D rendering for my printer. I don't "need" a gaming laptop, but I wanted the speed for future app/OS upgrades that inevitably slow things down and the backlit keyboard for working in the dark. This has been perfect for that, hasn't slowed down or had any of the issues I suffered through with the old laptop. I have a Macbook Pro from work, and I nearly got one of those to replace the Asus because it was so much better. I bought this Acer, and the screen is as good as the Mac IMO so I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Great laptop for work and gaming

I use this laptop primarily for work, school, and office applications. I’m not a heavy gamer, but I wanted something portable and relatively future-proof. One thing I noticed right away was the startup sound. It’s a bit loud and high-pitched, which felt unnecessary. I’m not sure why that sound was chosen, but you can easily turn it off using the PredatorSense app. I didn’t notice much bloatware. I removed a few things through the Control Panel but didn’t feel the need to do a fresh Windows install. Pros Build Quality & Design The keyboard feels great to type on, and the overall build quality is solid. I really like the texture and color of the laptop. The packaging also feels premium, and it even comes with a laptop sleeve. Performance & Specs For the price and portability, the specs are hard to beat. Other reviewers have covered the details, but for my needs, it’s more than enough. Display The screen is very good. Some people mention that it’s reflective, but that’s typical for OLED displays. For home or office use, I haven’t had any issues with glare. Everyday Usage Since I’m not a heavy gamer, the laptop stays quiet most of the time whether I’m browsing the web, watching YouTube, or working on documents. During light use, the keyboard area can get slightly warm in the middle, but I think that’s normal for most laptops. Gaming & Thermals When gaming, the laptop does get warm or hot after a while, which is expected for a thin gaming laptop. I use an external keyboard and mouse when gaming, so heat on the keyboard isn’t really an issue for me. You’ll occasionally hear the fans spin up during heavy RAM usage or gaming, but it’s not distracting. The fan noise is more low-frequency, so it doesn’t bother me. In a coffee shop setting, it’s barely noticeable. However, Turbo mode (around 6000 RPM) does get loud. Because it’s a thin laptop, heat is something you have to accept as a trade-off for portability. Cons Fingerprints show up easily. But, you only see it when taking out of your bag. Battery life isn’t great. I get around 3 to 3.5 hours with light usage at most. I keep it plugged in, so it’s not a deal breaker for me but definitely don’t expect to game on battery. PredatorSense Software The PredatorSense app has been inconsistent. It worked initially, then stopped working after a Windows (or other) update, then worked again. Sometimes it saves my settings; other times it doesn’t. It seems like a software issue rather than a hardware problem. It’s not a deal breaker since I can still adjust keyboard brightness with the FN key, but I can’t reliably control lighting effects (snake, raindrop, colors, etc.). I’ve tried reinstalling it, but the issue persists. From what I’ve read, this seems to be a common problem. Occasional Freezes Very rarely, the laptop freezes for about 2 seconds. It doesn’t happen often enough for me to return it, but it’s worth mentioning. Speakers The speakers are very basic for a 2025 laptop. They can get loud, but the sound quality lacks depth. You can improve it slightly with apps from the Microsoft Store, but don’t expect premium audio. Possible Unit-Specific Issue On my unit, there’s a noticeable hiss or high-pitched noise that lasts for a couple of minutes before the fans start ramping up during heavy usage. For my usage, I’m satisfied with this laptop. It’s thin, powerful for the price, and well-built. You do have to accept trade-offs like heat, average battery life, and some software quirks. After purchasing, go to Acer’s website and update everything to the latest versions. That should resolve most issues that were mentioned regarding software issues. Overall, a solid choice for the price and performance.

Love the computer. I'm not a huge gamer so the neutered video card doesn't bother me. As an overall work horse do all machine it does pretty well. OLED screen pops for entertainment and runs smooth as butter. If you want highest FPS this isn't it, but if you're ok with just good graphics and not excellent it fits the bill good in a portable package.

The 5070TI under performs because of the intel processor heat. I was able to undervolt the cpu a bit giving the gpu a more stable boost. Screen is perfect. The acer app button needs a way of being disabled. its right in the middle of everything and to easy to press for something that is setup once and forget it.
