Great specs and build quality for the price. You can't beat the processor and graphics for this price. Only drawbacks is that this laptop gets HOT and LOUD. You can put it in eco or silent mode and fix those issues, but gaming or modeling will definitely heat it up.

I picked mine up during a sale for $1,499; an absolute steal considering the amount of power this laptop has. Playing titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts, and others at full detail is fantastic on this machine. I was getting 70fps in Cyberpunk without any frame gen or trickery, but when I enabled it, I was getting near 180fps. I put this little machine side by side with my desktop (14900KF, RTX 4080 Supreme X, 32gig Corsair dominator). This little machine can actually keep up, and in some cases run parallel with my desktop; blown away.
The connectivity on this machine is fantastic: it's got HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4 (yep, that's right), and it can push 80 Gbps throughput. My desktop motherboard doesn't even have Thunderbolt, and at the time, it was an enthusiast/premium platform. Not to mention 2.5 GB Ethernet, which is precisely what I have on my desktop, despite my fiber internet.
The OLED screen is also high quality, with no taring during heavy usage. Leave Sync off; it hasn't been useful in years. The colors are deep and rich (compared to my desktop 34" G7 T1 Faker 240hz, with 95% Color gamut, and HDR. This laptop's monitor is actually 'better', in this case, size doesn't matter.
I've come to prefer working on my laptop over my desktop because of these extra features and its overall feel. As a package, these parts and the software have been perfectly mated. This is a fantastic design and implementation of premium parts.
Cons:
There are a few minor details I found somewhat frustrating as a super-user; most people won't even notice these items because it's beyond their knowledge and expertise.
1) The UEFI BIOS is really lacking in customization. When I turned off a couple of things to try to streamline further, the BIOS hung up quite a bit and slowed down drastically. This did not affect the performance once in Windows; I hope ACER keeps working on the BIOS because it needs some TLC. Please allow me to turn off TPM, it's a security risk due to the extra space on there.
2) Cracking this machine open is NOT easy. Be very VERY careful if you try to upgrade the SSD or RAM. You'll need Torx bits to open it; you'll also want a plastic guitar pick to pry it open. Be very gentle; otherwise, you could break something or clip a capacitor on the edge of the motherboard.
3) If you decide to upgrade your SSD make sure that you have the drivers (ACER website) to detect the new one correctly. Otherwise, it won't appear in your fresh Win11 install when trying to select a drive, etc.
4) Win11 Home is attached to this machine via the TPM module; it is automatically recognized when you're installing a fresh copy of Windows 11. This can be a pain in the neck if you're a superuser like me with extra copies of Win11 Pro lying around. Search the web, and you'll find a quick hack to install other OS versions without disabling the TPM.
My use-case scenario: school, work, pen testing, and cybersecurity. This little beast is currently dual-booting into Kali Linux via the Thunderbolt 4 port (for quick disconnects). It's currently being used to packet-sniff on my home network, intercepting all traffic to my desktop and my Pi5 vault servers, and to play on the dark web. It's also being used as a workstation for school.

This laptop is some serious bang for your buck. The screen is amazing, great gpu/cpu combo, pretty slim and lightweight, and good port options.
However, the speakers are atrocious and while the fan noise doesn't bother me, they are literally ALWAYS on. Even in quiet mode just surfing the web, the fans are on. You can customize this obviously but if you're running in the standard profiles their on 24/7. But for $1,450, this thing is honestly a beast and I can easily put up with those small cons.

I’ve been gaming and working on the Helios Neo 16S AI for a few weeks, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The 16” 240 Hz OLED display is spectacular—ultra-sharp visuals alongside smooth motion in every game and video. Paired with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Ti, this laptop tackles AAA titles at high settings effortlessly. DLSS 4 is a perfect match for this hardware, boosting performance without sacrificing quality.
What really stands out is the build. At just under 19 mm thin, yet equipped with robust cooling (liquid metal + fifth‑gen AeroBlade 3D fans), it stays impressively cool even during intense gaming sessions. Ports are smartly positioned—Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, microSD, and USB-A/C are abundant, so no need for dongles. ()
Battery life? Great for light use—up to 6½ hours of video playback—but naturally, gaming drains it fast. Fans get audible under load, but it’s a trade-off for the raw power packed inside. ()
If you’re hunting for a desktop-replacement gaming laptop that blends performance, visuals, and thoughtful design, this is it. It’s bold, gamer-focused, and delivers exactly what the specs promise.
• Display & Visuals: 16” WQXGA OLED, 240 Hz, 1 ms response—tilts modern gaming visuals into cinematic territory.
• Performance: Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5070 Ti = buttery smooth gameplay with DLSS 4 enabled.
• Thermals & Build: Axiom-level cooling, solid aluminum-chassis feel, and sturdy construction.
• Connectivity: One of the best-equipped mid‑size laptops with full Thunderbolt, HDMI, Ethernet, USB-A/C, and card reader.
• Drawbacks: Heavier than ultralights (~2.3 kg/5 lb), fans audible under load, battery life limited during gaming.
An excellent balance of powerful hardware, stunning OLED visuals, and premium build, making it a top-tier gaming pick. Ideal for gamers, creators, and power users who value performance-first laptops—even at the cost of some weight and battery runtime.

If you need a computer with a good battery go somewhere else. It dies in a couple hours and you can do nothing about it. Otherwise this computer if on sale is a great deal. 5070ti and oled 244hz screen. Fans are fairly average in noise for what I've noticed in gaming laptops but it does get quite hot in the center when working hard so keep an eye on that. Graphics are beautiful and as long as you aren't a top level gamer this is more than powerful enough for your needs. If you are looking for a solid intermediate level gaming laptop at an affordable price this is for you. Not to mention nothing much else needs to be said when the price is $1450. Good luck finding a 5070ti at that price.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. I got it on sale a few weeks prior to Black Friday and it was the best thing I’ve done. I had a Desktop prior I used primarily for gaming. Started traveling for work much more so I got rid of that and went with a laptop. OLED screen is beautiful, surprisingly good FPS with frame gen and DLSS. This laptop is the real deal. I did delete multiple manufacturer bloatware applications and adjusted some power settings to meet my needs on battery or on charge but other than that it’s pretty plug and play. Very happy with my purchase and performance with portability.

so far its been nothing but a pleasure to use, extremely impressive performance for a laptop, especially in its price bracket. The display is also top of its class, and I doubt most people will feel the need to use an external display while gaming. My only real complaint is the battery life, but this is the kind of system that is best used as a portable desktop replacement that you can use while on the go in a pinch

Powerful and high-performance laptop with an amazing OLED display. The screen quality is sharp, bright, and smooth, making gaming and work very enjoyable. It handles heavy tasks and games without issues, and the build quality feels premium. Cooling performance is good, though the fan can be a bit loud under heavy load. Overall, it delivers excellent performance and is highly recommended for gamers and professionals.

Excellent Screen, but Serious Heat Problems

Perfect display and good performance, but it runs too hot. Even at idle, the keyboard gets hot. Compared to my previous laptops, when I lifted them off the desk, the surface underneath would usually feel very hot. However, with this laptop, the surface it sits on doesn’t get very warm. This made me wonder if there might be a design issue with how the heat is being dissipated. The fans seem to be working fine, and setting the fan speed to maximum does help with temperatures, but even then, when the laptop is idle, I would expect it to feel noticeably cooler but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. The fans do blow warm air, but it feels like the cooling system isn't as effective as it should be. The warm air, especially near where I hold the mouse, can get uncomfortably hot. The speakers feel like they were added just because they had to be; they are very entry level. I have no complaints about fan noise, though. I’ve used much worse in that regard. Considering the price, it’s a nice laptop, but I’m not sure how long it will last with this level of heat.

For the price, you cannot do better. The performance is unparalleled for the price. The design is very good, sure the USB c are in the back, which could be better. The screen is fabulous! It has a little plastic strip on the heat sink, I assume so that you don't get burn. Battery life is bad, but not single gaming laptop works well with battery power.

Laptop is bery powerful and has plenty of over head with the 5070ti and 32gb of ram. It performs very well and the predator app works pretty well with the switches on the laptop. I feel like if the charger was a 280w the 5070ti might pish more permance. The OLED screen is beautiful and petsomally the best part of the laptop. Worst thing is the intel chip runs HOT even whike idling or browsing thr web it stays at around 65-75c and when gaming it will get up 85-100c and that is with riser and an ambient room temp of around 72f, i feel like if i would of went with an AMD chip it would of been better. Overall great laptop and performs like i want to and need.

Excellent value gaming laptop. Battery life isn't great, but let's be honest, you probably aren't getting this to game on the battery while on the go. The 5070 Ti and 240hz OLED monitor pair beautifully. The Intel Core i9 275HX processor is also a beast. Definitely worth picking up if you can get it on sale!

The performance on the laptop is like nothing I've experienced on a laptop. When you couple the raw performance with DLSS 4, its just crazy. The screen is gorgeous and I'll never get another laptop without an OLED display, its that good.
I've had a couple games crash on me randomly....not really a crash but they started to stutter really bad. It was fixed by restarting the game and doesn't seem to be a pattern. Hoping its not a heat issue. Speaking about heat, with the fans a full speed, this thing is LOUD. As long as there is no overheating issue, this thing is gold - especially at this price point.

Extremely good laptop, it’s powerful and doesn’t overheat much. Since it’s a gaming laptop, don’t expect to last very long on battery, and to get its full performance you will need to play plugged in. But it’s for gaming, not office work, and it’s a total beast with gaming, and it has a beautiful screen and really good keyboard. At this price range it is definitely the best gaming laptop you can get.

I really like the 16s beautiful oled display, great performance and great design. But ill give it a 3 star just for one reason, the battery is really bad even in this new model. The refresh rate is looked at 240hz and can not be charged. draining the extra battery even in silent mode with low brightness, no rgb light on etc. I have and had orhe 16s laptop and this by far the worst battery. If you can leave with that is a great laptop.
