Stunning OLED screen and a great daily driver

I’ve been using the Swift 16 for a while now, and the 3K OLED display is easily the highlight. The colors look vivid and the blacks are truly deep, which makes movies and photo editing feel like a big upgrade from my previous laptop. Even though it’s a 16-inch machine, it still feels surprisingly easy to carry in a backpack. The Ice Black finish looks sleek and premium, but it does pick up fingerprints quickly—so a microfiber cloth is definitely worth keeping nearby. On the performance side, the Intel Core Ultra 7 has been smooth and responsive for my day-to-day use. I’ll often have around 20 Chrome tabs open with Spotify and Excel running, and the 16GB of RAM keeps everything moving without slowdowns. The new AI additions are a nice bonus too, and the dedicated Copilot key is more convenient than expected for quick lookups. If you want a premium-feeling laptop with a standout display that doesn’t feel like a brick to carry, this is a strong option. Pros: • Gorgeous OLED touchscreen. • Quick boot and app loads thanks to the 1TB SSD. • Snappy, comfortable keyboard. Cons: • The lid is a fingerprint magnet.

Great laptop. Current generation i7 evo processor with a really top speb screen. Colors are good, high resolution and very bright. I put linux on mine and once you update the kernel to support the new hardware it works really well with no issues noted so far. Battery lasts for 6-7 hours with sustained use and very light for its size. I've been using it as my daily driver for a few weeks and couldn't be happier with it.

In all honesty, I absolutely love this computer. This is the first computer I've ever brought for myself. I've owned my computer for a month now, previously I had this exact computer which was a gift from my dad when I was heading for college. My previous computer, which is the same as the one I currently have, ran very good, it was fast, never gave me issues, and allowed me to play video games without issue. Now with my new computer, it runs just like my previous computer, fast, no issues, and like my previous computer, I can play games without issues. I love my computer and I'd very much recommend this computer for anyone who's looking for a new computer.

The Acer Swift 16 AI is a great option for those looking for a portable and powerful laptop with a stunning OLED display. While it has some drawbacks, its pros make it a solid choice for productivity and entertainment. If you're willing to compromise on audio quality and graphics performance, this laptop might be perfect for you.

Fast and light. Colors are great and it multitasks like I expected. I like the black case better than all the silvers, but that's just preference. Wanted to give it 5, but one thing stood out. The description on the site states that it is in fact an EVO edition, even the badge on the display at the store stated as such. There is no badge or mention of EVO on the box or the laptop itself. Even reached out to ACER and their response is that this is not an EVO edition laptop. One, if not the major reason I bought it. So slightly annoyed, but so far not enough to return it. Look carefully when you open the box.

Beautiful laptop. Sleek build. Made well, does not get hot. Backlit keys are vibrant. Touchpad works well. The screen is beautiful. I use it for work, school, and to watch movies. The speakers arent great but I dont know of many laptops that support a great speaker without getting too heavy. Get it!

I’ve been really impressed with this laptop so far. The battery life is excellent and easily lasts me through the day. The 16" 3K OLED screen is absolutely beautiful—colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything looks sharp. The touch screen is a nice bonus and actually comes in handy more than I expected. The touchpad is a good size and feels smooth and responsive, and I appreciate having a numpad. My only small complaint is that I wish the arrow keys were a bit bigger, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I also love the sleek black matte design—it looks premium and feels solid. Overall, this laptop has every spec I was looking for, and it’s been well worth the price. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, modern laptop with an amazing display. If you want, I can make a **shorter version**, a **more casual version**, or tweak it to sound more tech-savvy.

I had never considered an Acer product. But when I went into the person that assisted me gave me a plethora of information about the different laptops and when it came down to price and options, this laptop came out on top. I’m so happy I made this choice. This laptop is powerful, super easy to use, sleek and lightweight. It even has a mechanism that slightly lifts the bottom when you open the laptop so it gets more airflow. I highly recommend this Acer.

Nice laptop. Its fast and powers up instantly. PLEASE - If you buy this the screen doesn't enable the HDR quality by default and will make your screen an 8-bit 60z display unless you right click on your desktop, select display and then enable HDR. Go to advanced settings in that same menu, and make sure your refresh rate shows 120hz. Hope this helps.

It has been over a 15 years since I have had a acer in my household, last one was a desktop and I thought I would try a Acer out, this time, being this Co-Pilot+ laptop to see what Acer is like after all these years and I have been using this for roughly 5 days now of the day of submitting this review and my thoughts that follows.... Packaging: When received, the laptop was boxed up inside another box. Very well packaged. The box itself is not snazzy with any artwork but very minimal with the logo and even showcasing a sticker showing its a VESA Certified DisplayHDR with True Black 500 and its EyeSafe Sticker and of course the specs on the side box. Upon opening the box, the laptop is protected with the common soft fabric like sleeve that encases the laptop, then a thin fabric sleep inside the laptop protecting the screen from the keys when the laptop is closed. Taking the laptop out, there is the documentation then a charger and separated from it inside the packing box was a bonus of a Laptop carrying sleeve with the Acer logo on there. Nice of Acer to include that for someone who may want to keep the laptop from getting scratched/scuffed when carrying it in a backpack or whichever if the person don't have a laptop carrying bag. Design and Build: The Swift 14 AI is a lightweight and slim laptop, It features a backlit keyboard that has no flex, providing a good typing experience with adequate tactile response. The keyboard layout is standard, with the exception of an AcerSense and AI CoPilot key. Although the keys are slightly smaller, this is likely due to the laptop's compact size. The laptop is equipped with four USB Type-C ports and three USB 3.2 Type-A ports. I would prefer one additional USB Type-C port instead of the Type-A ports, as many devices are transitioning to USB Type-C. However, depending on your peripherals, you may find the Type-A ports useful. There is also a headphone jack available for convenience. The display is impressive with a screen resolution of 2880x1800 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, it is a vibrant, vivid, rich 3k OLED touch screen with a glossy finish that makes visuals stand out. The laptop's webcam is one of the best I've encountered, offering a 1440p IR resolution. The mouse pad provides solid clicks and feels smooth and consistent to use. The monitor exhibits no flex, and the hinges are sturdy. Overall, the aluminum chassis is well constructed, highlighting the laptop's quality. First time usage: I plugged in the charger and let it charge while also powering it on for the first time. Be aware that after connecting to the internet while setting it up, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the speed of your connection of course) to install Windows 11 updates before finally getting to the desktop. I then looked over the installed programs and found that there is what I consider to be bloatware, McAfee, ExpressVPN and one called "App Explorer" by SweetLabs. Then the usual clean up of the "apps" category with some games that I was not interested in then to give it that Windows 7 Era feel/look, I installed ExplorerPatcher and OpenShell from GitHub to make it feel personal for myself. Also set it up using fingerprint sensor logging into Windows and that did great. Performance wise, multiple programs that I used and were running, I did not experience any lag, any performance hits. It was very smooth. Some may knock on Intel ARC Graphics but bare in mind that the ARC graphics is dedicated and not some old integrated Intel basic graphics. I played some Minecraft, some older games such as Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Fortnite and I had no gripes with smooth gameplay. I wouldn't say its a gaming laptop by any means and I wouldn't place your hope on playing the newest games out today with no flaws but older games, it will play them without a problem. Speakers: Really wish I could type out all positive on this front but the speakers is very very lackluster. Very flat, no base, no oomph, when listening, sounds like your listening to a tiny cheap speaker inside a box that barely gets loud. I would not count on being able to hear them in moderate to loud environments. If absolutely have to have sound coming from this laptop, I would highly recommend using a wireless speaker connected to it. Battery: With this being a Intel Core Ultra 7, this is part of the Lunar Lake family, highly praised for it competing in the market for top notch performance, especially in battery area and this will hit that area, it states that this can get up to multi-day usage with up to 20ish hours on battery. I did one test starting with the battery at 100% and using it around 4-6 hours a day, closing the lid when finished and opening up the next day and only browsing and reading articles, it used about 30-40% each day and on the 3rd day, having to finally having to juice it back up on the charger. This is highly impressive! Copilot: At this time, Copilot is very limited (no fault on Acer) but due to Microsoft having delayed the somewhat highly controversial feature called "Recall" If you have not heard about it, I highly suggest looking that up and then the "Click to Do" feature are still not available to the public yet as of this review. The only CoPilot AI features that are available and well known is the Copilot button where you can ask questions to the AI and then the Windows Studio Effects for your webcam where you can blur out the background and other special effects that can be done. Until these features and other features are released to the general public, then the general Copilot+ Laptops will be limited on AI features (if that is what your personally looking to take advantage of is AI 100%. One thing that is missing... Take note Acer.... It needs a SSD/HDD Indicator LED light. There is a few manufacturer's that still have this today and its vital (in my personal opinion) to have that in case the PC may appear to be frozen but maybe the PC is working really hard on installing or doing something in the background. Conclusion: Its a great vibrant Acer laptop that I enjoy a lot, aside from the abysmal speakers, battery is superb, performance is above and beyond and the build and display is as smooth and absolutely amazing.

I was looking for a multi-purpose laptop that could run office tools as well as 3d printer design software when I picked up the Acer Swift 16" 3K OLED.  After a week of use, I find that it is a quality touchscreen laptop both in its visual appeal and multi-tasking ability, but it does come with a few quirks regarding the layout and features.   In the box is the laptop, power cable, and soft case. The setup is the standard Windows workflow.  As far as the build, this laptop is light at less than 4 lbs and boasts a HDMI port, 2 x USB-A 3.2 ports, 2 x USB-C 4 (Thunderbolt) ports, and a headphone jack. One of the things I love about this laptop is that it is a 16" laptop that has a nice, easy to view, bright screen at 340 nits brightness, with minimal border and vibrant colors to include true black that comes with an OLED. The screen is considered 3K resolution, which gives sharper more defined images due to having the increased pixel count. In addition to the resolution, and good news for the casual gamer, is the 0.2ms response time. On the flip side, I do wish there was a better graphics card than the Intel Arc to match the quality of this display. As for viewing, the screen is glossy, which you can view from nearly any angle, and it has about the same reflectiveness as a cell phone screen. While not significant, I did find that I had to position the screen to certain angles when working in areas with bright overhead lighting.  The keyboard layout is as expected, keys respond well, and have enough travel and weight to be accurate for both typing and gaming. However one of the quirks to this layout is that Acer tried to squeeze a keypad into a space that really doesn't fit. The number keys are narrower than a full keypad, and are so compact that it's hard to use them if you're used to a full sized number pad.  I'd much rather see that real estate used for better purposes such as speakers, new features, or even optimized keyboard layout. The last thing to note about the build, is that the screen will lay flat, the hinges pivot the base up and away from the desk, so it allows for some air flow, even when fully extended. I do wish the hinges were slightly beefier since the design puts some  downward force on them when the screen is at a 90 degree angle. Overall the build is solid, the screen is fantastic, and keyboard design is ok.  As far as features go, the front facing 1440p QHD camera is nice, it offers detailed resolution and does not wash out in well lit areas. It is one of the best quality cameras I've seen on this level of laptop build. A feature that may eventually stand out is that the Acer Swift is all about AI, both productivity tools and speed of these tools, and is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 processor. In addition to the CoPilot+ tools, Acer has loaded its AI supported PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice tools that allow lighting adjustments, blurring, and noise filtering during video conferencing. Note that many of the AI tools are expected to be released in later builds, so this is just a small glimpse into what is planned to come. The Intel NPU used to support this AI performs up to 47 TOPS (trillions of operations / second). If you're new to AI focused chips, NPUs are typically less powerful than GPUs, but they also consume much less power which means you can run in a slim laptop build without having to beef up the build or fan capacity. In addition to the processor, the laptop comes with 16 GB RAM,  1 TB storage capacity, and the somewhat lackluster Intel ARC graphics card that does support DirectX12.2 with ray tracing.  A few other things to note, this laptop comes with wifi 7 to include multi-link capability. I have this laptop paired with a wifi 6 router and there is zero speed degradation. As I mentioned this isn't something I picked up for gaming, but it isn't terrible for lag or tearing, and can keep up with the majority of the games I cycled through from Steam. While not surprising, this is not a laptop you'll buy for the speaker quality.  The built in speakers are flat, tinny sounding, and not positioned towards you regardless of angle. Do yourself a favor and run an external speaker or a headset for video conferencing or streaming. Lastly, the mousepad has an AI illumination that will light up when AI functions are in use. Not exactly a useful tool, but something that is different and will give you a clear indicator when AI processes are occurring and potential bandwidth implications if you're using other software.  Bottom line, this build is unique, it's got some great horsepower for multi-tasking, and alludes to some neat AI features that are yet to be released. My top issues are the underwhelming graphics card, the bizarre skinny keypad, and the speakers. My top favorite features are the processor's ability to multitask, rendering speeds are quick during modeling, and I absolutely love the crisp bold images the display produces. I think this ranks as a very solid multi-purpose laptop, it can game, work, and create with ease.
