It is only my first week with this new Acer Swift Go. Hardware is fantastic: low glare OLED, fast Ryzen Ai9 chip, plenty of quick RAM and storage. Software has improved with updates and reinstalls, but still a bit too much bloatware that luckily can be removed. Overall this laptop gives you battery life and powerful performance at a far better price in the current Ai and tariff world that has made many things unattainable. Just be sure to max your RAM since it is not upgradeable. What's in the box: Laptop. USB-C power brick. Nice branded padded zipper sleeve case with side zipper pocket. Legal paperwork. If Acer can include a minimal case for their laptops at these prices. WHY does nearly everyone else omit the case/sleeve? Build: I am not seeing any cost cutting in the build quality of my Swift Go. Keyboard is solid and key travel on the single color backlit keyboard is good with proper spacing. The big responsive touchpad works as expected, sadly no haptic, does have light up media controls (AcerSense settings). Screen has zero wiggle or flex and easily stays where opened to. Note: the screen has a non-reflective coating that does not wow like the gloss OLED screens, but this is a plus for me for minimal light reflections. Plenty of fast current gen ports for charging and connecting anything currently available. Audio is adequate as it seems to be 2 speakers under the front lip, but its very usable and not tinny at full volume. The web cam is also just adequate, it does windows hello and is usable if needed. The webcam does have a built in shutter if you worry about that kind of stuff. The only build complaint would be the case does show fingerprints a bit more than some other laptops I have used in the past. First world problems. Software: All the basic Windows and its bloat is here and much of that gets sorted quickly with a few restart cycles of updating. The Acer bloat seems to be a bit more than the last laptop I tried. Much of it can be deleted if you want it gone. Its the AcerSense that really gave me issues. This app essentially controls the whole laptop and just makes things under the hood run in harmony. AcerSense was flawed from the start and had to be uninstalled and downloaded from Acer before I could get it to allow me to change the power mode from the default silent mode to normal or performance modes. It still does not update 2 items it wants updated, but the rest of the system is functioning properly, so hopefully it updates and corrects itself eventually. Overall, the software is easily dealt with and much of the bloat might be useful to some and likely keeps the price of the laptop lower. I highly recommend this specific Ryzen Acer Swift Go as configured. Battery life is stellar on silent mode 10-12+ hours. The system in performance mode powers through various editing jobs. You can even game tier 1 titles with realistic settings. Cooling and fans never became an issue. Maybe I am not pushing it hard enough to hear full fan noise and heat. Acer has the best price for performance this year. Just need a little more day one software ironing to receive the full 5 star rating I wanted to give. It will show 4 star rating but its really 4.5 in my review.

Verdict: The Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a great productivity laptop with strong components, excellent battery life, and mil specs for durability. It also has an awesome Gorilla Glass touchpad with custom touch buttons (LOVE that!). I have only owned one (maybe two?) Acer laptop, versus dozens from other brands now, as well as managing all the family computers and the ones in our business. My previous experience with Acer was unremarkable… But this laptop is really quite nice! Well done Acer! This laptop is for someone who needs a slightly bigger screen for a reliable, durable, and capable travel companion. It can handle some demanding games, but it’s not made for it. First impressions. I love the dark gray color and lines on the front. I immediately noticed that my oily fingerprints are already all over it, and they are quite noticeable unfortunately. The power brick is not too big, but could probably be slimmer for a portable laptop. The laptop is overall quite thin actually, and very light. The screen is very thin, and looks fragile as it opens all the way back, but… this laptop features “Military-grade durability”, so I think it will be ok. It’s also touch screen! I like the 2k WUXGA widescreen format too. Setup. This laptop is Windows-based so initial login is as expected. Initial updates took quite a long time. And upon first login, the Copilot icon was not visible… the words were there, but there was just a blank space on the taskbar. To solve this, I unpinned from the taskbar and then re-added it. Functionality. - Face recognition works well most of the time, but is not reliable in low light settings - Presence detection works well; when I approach the laptop, it wakes up and it’s ready to scan my face - There is a Copilot button (love it!). While I subscribe to a different AI service, I am using copilot more and more for quick searches because the button is there, and because it loads and executes very fast (perhaps from the Ryzen AI 9 chip?) - There is an Acer button, which provides access to settings (pretty good). However, the settings window loads slower than I expected - There is a customizable button for one touch launching of apps or setting, it’s a nice touch! I use it to launch a new Chrome window (you just have to map it to the .exe file) - Speakers are louder than I expected. Sound quality is fine… about as expected for a thin laptop - I am satisfied with the number of ports: 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C, Micro SD card reader (seems outdated, but I actually still need it to transfer drone footage faster), HDMI, and 35mm Performance. The Acer Swift Go AI comes with great specs: AMD Ryzen AI 9, 32GB of RAM, a decent integrated card, an awesome touchpad, 1TB SSD, WiFi 7, and a 5MP camera. It comes together quite well and has performed flawlessly for me so far - The integrated graphics card has performed well in stress tests. For testing, I played a short Counter-Strike 2 session on high settings fairly smoothly (~50-60 FPS), and better than I expected without an independent graphics card - While the laptop is thin, I have not had issues with heat yet, despite running several programs and 30 plus tabs at the same time - The laptops is remarkably quiet, even on performance mode when the laptop is not working hard. You will hear fan noise when it starts working hard, but it’s not loud by any means Things I love. - The specs are strong: AMD Ryzen AI 9, 32GB of RAM, wifi 7, and a 5MP camera - The WUXGA screen with 2k resolution and vibrant colors - The touchpad is awesome!! I have not loved a novelty so much in years as the custom buttons that appear based on the application (media or video chat) - It has a physical webcam cover to ensure privacy (thank you!) - It’s thin enough (but not too thin) - Very efficient, leading to great battery life - Quiet keyboard - Presence sensor so the computer wakes up when you are near - AI Capabilities that work very smoothly - Military-grade durability! - It comes with a nice computer bag… perfect! Thank you Acer!! Things I don’t love. - My fingerprints are already all over the computer. Not sure if there is a coating for easier cleaning. Warm breath and a cleaning cloth works ok for quick cleaning. Overall, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a great package for a professional on the road, including strong components, innovations like the touchpad, and good overall value. I am very impressed with this Acer laptop and I highly recommend it!

This is my 2nd Acer laptop, last one being a 2024 Acer Swift 16 Inch OLED model and there is a few pros and cons with this newest 2026 edition that I'll get into. Packaging: When received, the laptop was boxed up inside another box. Very well packaged. The box itself is not snazzy with any artwork but very minimal with the logo and specs on the side box. Upon opening the box, the laptop is protected with the common soft fabric like sleeve that encases the laptop, then a thin fabric sleep inside the laptop protecting the screen from the keys when the laptop is closed. Taking the laptop out, there is the documentation then a charger and separated from it inside the packing box was a bonus of a Laptop carrying sleeve with the Acer logo on there. Nice of Acer to include that for someone who may want to keep the laptop from getting scratched/scuffed when carrying it in a backpack or whichever if the person don't have a laptop carrying bag. Design and Build: The Swift 16 AI is a lightweight and slim laptop, It features a backlit keyboard that has no flex, providing a good typing experience with adequate tactile response. The keyboard layout is standard, with the exception of an AcerSense and AI Copilot key and a convenient number pad on the side. The laptop is equipped with (1) HDMI 2.1 port, (2) USB Type-C ports, (2) USB 3.2 Type-A ports and a MicroSD Card reader. I would prefer one additional USB Type-C port instead of the Type-A ports, as many devices are transitioning to USB Type-C. However, depending on your peripherals, you may find the Type-A ports useful. There is also a headphone jack available for convenience. The matte display is ok with a screen resolution of 1920x1200 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, its a matte finish display. Compared to my 2024 OLED one, I feel the screen is a downgrade, especially with the specs on this laptop. Im hoping Acer takes the suggestion for OLED's becoming the standard for laptops going forward. The laptop's webcam is good, it recognizes facial login with Windows Hello without a hitch. The mouse pad provides solid clicks and feels smooth with its gorilla glass and consistent to use. I like the extra touch sensitive buttons that you can use on the mousepad for videos or voice calls/video chat. The monitor exhibits no flex... can lay flat and the hinges are sturdy. Overall, the aluminum chassis is well constructed, highlighting the laptop's quality. First time usage: I plugged in the charger and let it charge while also powering it on for the first time. Upon booting for the first time with Windows OOBE (Out of Box experience), it instead rebooted and then went to a "Why did my PC Restart" screen (See included picture). Stating there is a problem that is keeping us from getting your PC ready to use. Either Acer did little QA testing of the Windows Images on these laptops or this laptop had its factory image cloned on here too fast and no testing was done but the other part of me wants to say its more then likely Windows 11 is also partly to blame with its inconsistent update and development woes over the years but after this and getting connected to the internet, I was able to get to the OOBE. Be aware that after connecting to the internet while setting it up, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the speed of your connection of course) to install Windows 11 updates before finally getting to the desktop. There is the option to hit Update later at the bottom but I just rather wait and let it update/install. I then looked over the installed programs and found that there is what I consider to be bloatware, McAfee, VPN and one called "App Explorer" by SweetLabs. Then the usual clean up of the "apps" category with some games that I was not interested in then to give it that Windows 7 Era feel/look, I installed ExplorerPatcher and OpenShell from GitHub to make it feel personal for myself. One exclusion they went away from for some reason is on my 2024 Acer Swift, they had the fingerprint sensor built into the power button, I do miss that feature on this, not sure why it was excluded as it worked great and was quick. Performance wise, multiple programs that I used and were running, I did not experience any lag, any performance hits. It was very smooth. I am impressed at the Integrated AMD Radeon 880M graphics. I played some Minecraft, some older games such as Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Fortnite and I had no gripes with smooth gameplay. I wouldn't say its a gaming laptop by any means and I wouldn't place your hope on playing the newest games out today with no flaws but older games, it will play them without a problem. Speakers: Acer improved on the speakers a bit compared to the 2024 model, they are louder, has a little bit more clarity but still feels flat, I would not count on being able to hear them in moderate to loud environments. If absolutely have to have sound coming from this laptop, I would highly recommend using a wireless speaker connected to it. Battery: With this being a AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, I typically got around 6-8 hours on average with just browsing, playing Youtube videos and the brightness set on medium. Not bad for my usage scenario but could be a problem for some that are looking for longer battery life. Copilot: The AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 does excellent with Copilot. Click to Do is particularly handy, it intelligently highlights text and images on screen and lets you quickly copy, search, summarize, or take other AI-powered actions without switching apps. Recall acts like a visual timeline of your activity, letting you search your past work using natural language to find documents, websites, or images you’ve seen before, super useful for recovering lost or forgotten things you need to look back on. One thing that is missing... Take note Acer.... It needs a SSD/HDD Indicator LED light. There is a few manufacturer's that still have this today and its vital (in my personal opinion) to have that in case the PC may appear to be frozen but maybe the PC is working really hard on installing or doing something in the background. Conclusion: Its a great laptop that I enjoy a lot, aside from the first time powering on woe I had, the unnecessary bloat installed, the speakers could use a bit more work and a OLED panel would of been great since it was used in the older models. The battery is good for a half day usage, performance is above and beyond and the rugged military strength build. Its a good productivity and travel laptop. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

KEY SPECS AMD Ryzen 9 AI 465 (10C / 20T) (4 Performance / 6 Efficient) 32GB DDR5 RAM 1TB Gen 4 x 4 NVMe SSD 5.0MP Front Camera with Facial Recognition (Windows Hello) Radeon 880M Integrated Graphics MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 PORTS HDMI 2.1 x 1 USB-C x 2 (40Gbps) USB-A 3.2 x 2 3.5mm Headphone Jack MicroSD x 1 PROS 32GB of RAM Powerful multi-core processor Wi-Fi 7 INITIAL SET-UP & CONFIGURATION Props to Acer. My initial set-up went without a glitch. The laptop started and installed all necessary drivers and devices with ZERO fuss. Granted after start-up and activation, there was a firmware update pending for the device, but no worries, it too went without any issues. On top of that, the firmware update went very quickly, taking less than a quarter of the time most other manufacturers' firmware updates take. One thing I have to mention, as it is a huge pet peeve of mine, is the amount of bloatware that came pre-installed on this device. This new Acer Swift has more pre-installed bloatware than any other laptop I've reviewed to date. I counted a total of 23 different apps, services, programs, offers, analytics, telemetry, etc. All unnecessary. To add insult to injury, Acer chose to bundle McAfee with the Swift. Ugh. A resource hog and nearly impossible to cleanly remove from your system. Double Ugh. PERFORMANCE AND USE It's hard to find fault with AMD's latest Ryzen AI processors. This one is no exception. This Ryzen 9 contains a total of 10 cores. 4 Zen 5 Performance cores, 6 Zen 5c Ultra-Efficient cores, and an integrated Neural Processor to handle onboard AI tasks. Together they make for a peppy and responsive laptop. Not to mention, it seems to be very efficient thermally. Even during benchmarking the cooling fans never got annoyingly loud or obtrusive. Did they spin up? Yes. Was it distractingly loud and unpleasant? No, not at all. While not the quietest laptop I've reviewed recently, I have no objections or complaints about the fan noise. I will say that these fans do spin up more often than similarly spec'd Intel-based Swifts, but it is worth the tradeoff for me to get the increased performance that the Ryzen 9 offers of lesser Intel and AMD chips. Unlike most laptops, the Swift is able to fold completely flat. No, it's not a 2-in-1 that can be folded into a tablet, but I am surprised at just how convenient it is to fold flat. I had never given it much thought. Even looking at Acer touting the feature on their website, I dismissed the convenience factor. But after spending quite a bit of quality time with the Swift, I see just how convenient the fold flat feature is during daily use. Who would have thought? On the performance front, the great rivalry rages on and probably always will. Do I get an AMD processor or an Intel processor? Both are options in the Swift family of laptops. I was able to make back-to-back comparisons as I recently received a laptop for review powered by Intel's latest Core Ultra 7 355 processor (4P Cores / 4 Ultra-Low Power Cores), as well as a machine with AMD's Ryzen AI 5 340 from 2025 (6C / 12T). How does the Ryzen 9 stack up to similar models? Passmark scores are as follows: Ryzen 9 (2026) Intel Ultra 7 355 Ryzen 5 (2025) CPU 32722.4 (89th Percentile) 20005.9 (70th Percentile) 19010.3 (56th Percentile) 2D Graphics 945.6 (77th Percentile) 877.9 (69th Percentile) 887.7 (71st Percentile) 3D Graphics 6655.9 (42nd Percentile) 4539.6 (36th Percentile) 4105.1 (35th Percentile) The new Ryzen 9 AI processor is powerful. Besting its closest rival that I've been able to test by over 30%. Would an Ultra 9 be closer? Yes, definitely, but the AI 9 is an extremely powerful processor. Not to mention, the new Radeon 880M graphics are more capable than even last year's Ryzen mobile graphics. Not revolutionarily so, but it is a definite evolutionary step in the right direction. One drawback of having all this compute power on tap is the amount of heat it produces. Granted AMD has worked wonders over the years in reducing power consumption, but the AI 9 does make considerably more heat than its lesser competitors and because of this battery life is shorter and the fans do spin up more often to maintain temps. NEGATIVES 1. System is held back by an average NVMe drive. Besting only 4770.83MB/s transfer capabilities, which is slightly more than 1/2 the speed a good Gen 4 drive can deliver. A quality Gen4 x 4 drive will do roughly 7000MB/s. 2. Wish it was an OLED display. After using an OLED laptop, it is hard to go back to a non-OLED model. The black levels leave me wanting and the display just lacks that great inky black panel that I have grown to love over the years. Quite frankly, a laptop with this prowess should have an OLED panel. The laptop exudes high-end hardware strapped to an entry-level display. 3. Bloatware. This new Acer takes the crown for amount of bloatware that comes pre-installed. I counted a total of 23 apps, links, and other forms of telemetry software. Even after a clean Windows 11 installation to rid myself of McAfee Anti-Virus (pre-installed), Acer still snuck 7 telemetry and reporting services back in and all were set to AutoStart. FINAL THOUGHTS Do I like the Acer Swift Go 16? Yes. Do I love it? No. This is a top-tier laptop. There is no other way to put it. I appreciate the amount of raw computing power that this laptop offers. Not to mention the included 32GB of RAM puts it in the top-tier among others in the market. Most laptops only offer 16GB. This wasn't a big deal a couple of years ago when you could easily upgrade RAM, but not in today's day and age where RAM is now soldered directly to the motherboard and is non-upgradeable. Because this laptop packs so much potential, I feel the antiquated LED screen is out of place on such a highly spec'd device. A second reason as to why I don't love the Acer is the amount of unnecessary bloatware that comes pre-installed. Even after a clean Windows install, the analytics and telemetry services still got re-installed without my intervention. Not a fan. In the end, would I recommend this PC? Yes. Especially if I had an external OLED monitor to connect it too. It has a TON of processing power and even with all the compute power it has managed a good 5 to 6 hours of battery life for me to date. Some days better than others, but I get about 6 on average. Not bad for this amount of performance. RECOMMENDED

    A Thoughtful, Purpose-Built Machine

Unboxing: A Surprisingly Premium First Impression The moment you crack open the box, you can tell Acer actually cares about the experience. You’re not just greeted by the laptop - you also get a solid USB-C power brick that plays nicely with other devices, and a genuinely nice laptop sleeve. Not a flimsy afterthought, but a sleeve that feels like Acer saying, “Hey, we want this thing protected from day one.” It’s a small touch, but it sets the tone. Plenty of manufacturers skip this kind of detail, yet Acer keeps including sleeves with many of their machines. It’s the kind of gesture that makes you feel like the company is thinking about the whole ownership experience, not just the sale. And as you lift the Swift Go 16 AI out of the box, the build quality immediately backs that up. Design & Build: Clean, Modern, and Surprisingly Practical The Swift Go 16 AI has that sleek, understated look that feels premium without trying too hard. The 16" WUXGA touchscreen is crisp and roomy, great for everyday work and creative tasks. Even with its slim profile, the laptop manages to stay cool - something thin-and-light machines often struggle with. Typing on it is genuinely comfortable. The keyboard has that “I could write all day” feel, which is a huge win for creators and professionals. And the trackpad? It’s massive. Acer packed in a bunch of smart little features that make it feel more intuitive than most Windows laptops. Connectivity is also refreshingly complete: HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, a headphone jack, and even a Kensington lock. No dongle circus required. And despite the thin chassis, the machine stays impressively cool and quiet, which tells you Acer’s engineers really thought through the thermals. Of course, you do get WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.x and the speeds are great. Performance: AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 (465) Brings the Heat - Quietly Inside, this thing is all about next-gen computing. The AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 APU is built for AI workloads, and it shows. With its mix of Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores, plus the integrated Radeon 880M and a dedicated NPU, the Swift Go 16 AI qualifies as a Copilot+ PC - meaning it’s designed to run AI tasks locally instead of leaning on the cloud. The 32GB of LPDDR5 memory is exactly what modern AI-focused Windows machines need, and it keeps everything smooth whether you’re multitasking, generating content, or working in heavier creative apps. There’s no discrete GPU, but that’s intentional - this laptop is aimed at creators and professionals, not gamers. The 1TB NVMe drive is fast and roomy enough for most workflows, and you can upgrade it later if you need more space. In day-to-day use, the machine feels snappy. Apps open quickly, AI tools respond instantly, and the whole system just feels efficient and modern. Display, Battery, and Thermals: Real-World Strengths and Trade-Offs The display is good, but not perfect. The 1920x1200 touchscreen is sharp enough, but color vibrancy isn’t quite at the level serious color-grading professionals might want. Some people would probably trade the touchscreen for higher resolution or better color accuracy. Still, the touchscreen is responsive and useful for certain workflows. Battery life is solid - usually between 4 and 6 hours depending on what you’re doing - and it charges quickly. But the real standout is how quiet this laptop is. The fans barely make a sound, even under load. Combined with the excellent thermal management, it stays cool and whisper-quiet, making it ideal for recording audio, editing videos, or working in quiet environments. Final Verdict: A Focused, Future-Ready AI Machine The Acer Swift Go 16 AI knows exactly what it wants to be - a powerful, efficient laptop for AI work and content creation - and it nails that mission. It’s not pretending to be a gaming rig, and it doesn’t need to. From the thoughtful unboxing experience to the quiet, capable performance, it’s a machine built with intention. If your work leans heavily into AI tools, creative apps, or multitasking, the Swift Go 16 AI is a smart investment that will serve you well for years.

Solid laptop to get some work done

How you value a laptop is largely based on what you're looking out of a laptop. Some look to game, some look to do graphic design work, some look to code, some look to do school work...or work, work. The Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a great PC for those looking to knock out basic work, equipped wiht all the necessary features. To start, the design on this laptop is nice. It's relatively thin, with a nice patter on the hood. With that said, it has a solid amount of ports. 2 USB C ports including displayport over USB C, two USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a micro SD slot as well as a headphone jack. Most laptops aren't providing this number of ports and these ports provide solid flexibility in regards to accessories. The keyboard is nice as well, including a small numberpad on the right side of the keyboard. With that said, I do not like the trackpad. Sliding on it is cool, pushing down on it feels mushy, as opposed to clicky, and this is kind of the hold up on the Swift Go 16 AI. While in general, it's a solid laptop, there are. few things that are rather standard fare, which hold it back. The screen is another thing that's rather standard fare. The 1920 x 1200 120 hz refresh isn't bad, but for a 16" laptop with a LCD screen, it's standard fare. It's touch screen, however, the screen won't fold all the way back and convert in to a tablet. The webcam supports Windows Hello and is super snappy. You can really feel comfortable forgetting yoru password with how easily and quick the camera gets you logged in. In regards to performance, I wouldn't recommend downloading your favorite games on the 1TB SSD. That said, the combination of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 with the 32 gigs of ram will have you knocking out work with multiple programs and tabs open, no problem. The Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a solid productivity laptop that falls just short of being great. Higher res and an OLED screen could make it better. If you'd have to sacrifice 16 gigs of ram to do so, it'd make sense as overall, for the tasks you'll complete 16 would have served you nearly as well as 32. Nevertheless the laptop serves as as solid, thin and light productivity laptop for those looking to stay on the Windows side of things.

Loving the 16 inch screen and AMD processor

So far there is very little not to love about this Acer Swift Go AI 16 inch laptop. This is the first time I have had a laptop with an AMD processor, and I must say it really gets the job done. I feel it has performed just as well if not even better than the other major companies processor. 32 GB of ram is really great. Enough for every day use and more than adequate for holding the running apps and data for the AMD processor without writing to your hard drive. File sizes just keep getting bigger..... And so does the availability of larger hard drives. This one has a very generous 1TB hard drive and so far has worked just fine for everything I have done. Image processing is no problem at all and short of many of todays games. image processing can really fill up that ram and slow you down quite a bit. The 16 inch touchscreen is very sharp and clear with great color resolution. I dont use the touchscreen often as a really hate smudges and smears on the screen and my face oil will find its way onto the screen when I touch it no matter how often I wash my hands, trust me! The built in Realtek speakers do a nice but not perfect job on most audio sources on the computer as well as Pandora and IHeart Radio. My wife, who has retinal damage and greatly diminished vision really loves this PC when she uses it, and since we both are retired and have the ability to use the computer as much as we want for news, email, hobbies etc. I am sure another of these or very similar will find its way into our home before long!!!

Solid laptop worthy of the ACER name!

I’ve had the chance to use this latest Acer laptop for a while now, and it’s left a really solid impression upon me. Acer has always made reliable laptops in my experience, and this one continues that trend. I have used ACER products for many years now and have never been let down due to failures. Coming from my entourage of 13-inch laptops (4 to be exact) and moving up to a 16-inch screen has made a huge difference in my day-to-day computing. The larger display makes multitasking much easier since I can comfortably keep multiple windows open and best of all they are side by side. Going back to a smaller screen would honestly feel cramped now. Even though the display isn’t 4K, the colors look vibrant and the screen is sharp and clear. No complaints here! Getting everything set up was quick and straightforward. The battery also charged faster than I expected, and Windows updates finished within just a few minutes. As a matter of fact, this laptop charged faster than any laptop I have ever seen. Performance has been excellent so far. The AMD Ryzen AI processor paired with 32GB of RAM keeps everything running smoothly, even when I’m working with large spreadsheets or photo-editing software which hogs memory and valuable resources. I haven’t noticed any lag or slowdown during heavier workloads. One thing that really stands out is how cool and quiet the laptop stays, even under pressure. It’s honestly one of the coolest-running laptops I’ve owned. Super comfortable and cool on my lap. The laptop itself feels well-built and sturdy, with a clean black finish that gives it a professional look. The keyboard has a nice responsive feel that makes typing comfortable. The only adjustment for me was the trackpad, which takes a little more pressure to click than I’m used to, but it wasn’t a major issue after some time using it. With Wi-Fi 7 support and a roomy 1TB SSD, this laptop will provide me plenty of storage space for everyday needs. Overall, this is a powerful, well-designed laptop that handles demanding tasks without getting hot or noisy. If you want a fast, reliable machine with a larger screen for easy viewing, this Acer is definitely worth considering. High on my recommended list, so buy one and be happy!

Acer - Swift Go 16 AI - Copilot+ PC - 16" WUXGA Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 9 (465 2026) - 32GB Memory – 1TB Storage - Obsidian Black This falls into the general Ultrabook category of thin and comparatively light laptops at 3.53 lbs. It is 0.45” thick to 0.63” thick and measures 14” wide and 9.89” deep. Its case is aluminum with an attractive matte finish. Overall, the Swift Go 16 AI has some nice hardware. The screen is 16” 1920x1200 (2+K) that opens 180 degrees and has a standard capacitive touch screen. This means you can use your finger or a capacitive stylus but not an active stylus since the screen has no digitizer layer. This means you can write on the screen/documents but that’s about it or simply use touch on the screen to navigate. This laptop is geared towards handling documents and general office/home/class use to include marking up documents, signing them etc. The laptop has an HDMI 2.1 port, 2 USB-C ports supporting USB4 in addition to charging up to 100W through either port & Power Delivery along with DP through USB-C. It has 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports with one offering power off charging. In addition, it offers a headphone/speaker port supporting high impedance headsets as well as a card reader. With 1TB SSD, 32GB Ram, AMD Ryzen AI 9 (465 – 2026) along with the AI capability built-in (50 TOPS), this laptop is built for handling most chores you can think of whether it’s research, writing, spreadsheets or what-have-you. Along that line, the keyboard sports a numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard for those who like or need to crunch numbers. By the way, the keyboard feeds back very well while typing and is coupled with a Gorilla glass touch pad that is smooth as silk and quick to respond. Of course, this is a Copilot+ PC so you can ask Copilot about almost anything for additional information on whatever activities you’re involved with whether for home, class use or for office work. Additionally, on board the Acer Swift there is a suite of AI apps that will help you with a variety of your video conferencing needs, QR detection & decoding, power saving by sensing through its IR camera whether you’re looking away from the screen or away from the laptop entirely – it brings the screen back to life the moment it detects your face through facial recognition. It will even blur your screen if someone looks over your shoulder! This same suite gives you a customizable hotkey on the keyboard for whatever you need it to be. Lastly, it offers IrisGo which is: Acer’s on‑device AI assistant layer built specifically for Copilot+ PCs. It is a fast, local “micro‑assistant” that handles instant tasks without needing the cloud, although it will access the cloud, or anything you give it permission to access, if needed. It sets between Windows Copilot+ (the full AI system) and Acer’s hardware features (camera, sensors, hotkeys, presence detection etc.). So IrisGo isn’t a chatbot — it’s a contextual action engine designed to answer quick questions instantly, trigger device actions (brightness, camera modes, app launching etc.), provide contextual help inside apps, use the NPU for low‑latency tasks and integrate with Acer’s AI utilities (Display Lens, QuickPanel, User Sensing). It’s optimized for speed, not long conversations. With all these AI tools, you can be helped in many useful ways no matter what your particular needs in whatever capacity you use your laptop. With no dedicated GPU, it has an AMD Radeon 880M GPU integrated in the motherboard. I mention this because you wouldn’t ordinarily think in terms of gaming with the Acer Swift Go 16 AI – and don’t be confused, it won’t be running new AAA titles. However, I was surprised by what it did run. I enjoy the Sniper Elite series of games, among others, so I loaded Sniper Elite 5 and ran it on all Ultra settings. I couldn’t believe that it ran perfectly; no hiccups or burps or freezes or anything other than normal game execution all the way! Now, I know that Sniper Elite 5 is not a demanding game on today’s laptops, but I didn’t expect it to run fast and true using an integrated GPU. So, I ran Sniper Elite: Resistance, which is a newer game and much more demanding. In fact, Resistance recommends a minimum GPU of an RTX 2060 with 6GB memory onboard. I set Resistance on Ultra for all its settings, and it ran for a few minutes and stopped – I wasn’t surprised. But, when I set all settings at High (just below Ultra), it ran like a champ and didn’t slow, freeze, hiccup or burp at all – I just couldn’t believe it, but it’s true. Granted, I didn’t play for hours (didn’t have the time right then), but I ran it for probably 30 minutes, and it ran smoothly and quickly. Why am I talking about this? Just so you’ll know that you can game on it if you stick to mid-tier games, or even higher tier games but from a few years ago. Regarding battery life, I ran the Acer Swift Go 16 AI wide open while using it – brightness turned up, no allowance for going to sleep etc. because I wanted to use it rather than conserve the battery. One time I got 4:40 hours with 25% battery left and another time 1:40 hours with 59% battery left. This all averages to about 16% battery loss per hour. However, during that time I had apps running, games running, downloading updates and various other things going on. Considering the real-world workload on the Acer, losing 16% of the charge per hour isn’t bad at all. At that rate, the battery would run about 6.22 hours going from 100% charge to 0.0% charge. For this workhorse laptop doing all the things it was doing, with the higher end hardware it has, I would say 6.22 hours before needing to recharge is pretty good for a busy laptop. Except for professional gamers, those working with video, photo editing fulltime, those running CAD programs fulltime, and for artists, I would recommend the Acer Swift Go 16 AI laptop to anyone.

The Acer - Swift Go 16 AI - Copilot+ PC - 16" WUXGA Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 2026 - 32GB Memory – 1TB Storage - Obsidian Black is a slim, lightweight and capable laptop for business and fun! This laptop has pretty much everything one needs for productivity or fun all wrapped in a sleek and portable design. Acer uses all recyclable packaging which is very appreciated and the laptop arrived in perfect condition. Setting things up was smooth and easy with Windows 11 walking you through every step of the way. Took about an hour to download the latest updates and get things setup to my liking. The system is fast and responsive and the screen looks great. It's a touchscreen and responds excellent to touch. It also has a very effective anti-glare technology that minimizes pretty much all reflections you'd normally get with a touchscreen. There is a small webcam in the top bezel of the screen, and it has a nice hardware privacy slider which a lot of laptops do not have so that is very appreciated! Setting up the face recognition during initial setup was super-fast and it makes it so nice coming back to the laptop and having it recognize you and unlock the screen without having to type in your PIN every time. Works excellent! The screen looks really crisp, and everything looks great on it. 16 inches is a nice size for a 2k laptop screen! The case itself if a brushed metal finish and looks great but it does pick up the oil from your touch pretty easy. Not sure it that would be a gamechanger for someone, but something to be aware of if you can't stand smudges on the case. The brightness levels are excellent for indoor computing with plenty of brightness. The backlit keyboard has a couple levels of brightness and works fine indoors as well. I think the chiclet style keys could be a tad bit thicker with a little more tactile resistance, but the keyboard works fine. The touchpad is quite large and super responsive to touch and gestures! The sound from the speakers is quite good for a laptop! Sounds were clear and plenty of volume. Watching videos on the laptop is a pleasant experience. The battery life is really good too. I am able to watch about 11 hours of video with balanced performance and about 80% screen brightness, so I'm quite pleased with that! The AMD processor and AMD onboard graphics make everything seem snappy and to my pleasant surprise the onboard graphics chip does a great job for gaming as well! I tested several games including ARC Raiders, Borderlands 3, Fortnite, Tomb Raider, and Hogwarts Legacy. They all were smooth and very playable with 60 fps framerates. Hogwarts, I did have to toggle to medium settings, but it still looks amazing at that level! So, one could easily use this to game on in my opinion without huge performance issues! The AI helps a lot with this as it lets the graphics chip render the game in a lower resolution then upscale it using the AI. Works great! Much better than any previous non-dedicated GPU laptops like this that I've tested. With 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of fast SSD storage combined with the very fast AMD processor this laptop makes pretty much any task you throw at it look smooth. The amount of ports is decent with 2 x USB Type-C Ports - supporting USB4® (up to 40 Gbps), Display Port over USB-C, USB Charging & Power Delivery (Up to 100W), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Ports (one featuring power-off charging), 1 x HDMI™ 2.1 Port supporting 48 Gbps, 10K maximum resolution, Fixed Rate Link and 1 x Headphone/Speaker/Line-out Jack with Support for High Impedance Headsets (Up to 600ohms). With support for the latest Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth connecting to the laptop and Wi-Fi speed are excellent. Weighing about 3.5 lbs. and being as thin as it is this will make and excellent travel laptop and it comes with a nice protective sleeve to store the laptop in. It does come with a bit of bloatware. Probably more than I've seen in recent years, but nothing too intrusive and should be easy to remove if you want to. It also comes with 2 months of Microsoft Game Pass if you want to sign up for that. Overall, I think this will make a great laptop for anyone wanting something that they can grab and take with them but not feel limited with what they can do on the road. Would definitely recommend!

So, when my youngest son was about to start college last year, I decided to get him a nice, powerful gaming laptop that he could use while in classes, but then still be great for gaming during downtime. That failed as it was too powerful and would run too hot and not long enough on battery, even when turning all the performance settings down to just act as a "productivity" laptop. Then, he got a good deal on what he thought was a decently spec'ed, but it wasn't quite enough for what he needed, getting very laggy with the number of browser tabs and applications open he needed. So, we felt like we needed to find the "Goldilocks" laptop. While I have been a fan of the Acer brand for over 35 years, using their part for PC builds, then getting a couple of their Chromebooks (which run nicely), I had not yet gotten one of their Windows laptops. Going with the Acer Swift Go 16 AI and the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, it seems that we found the one that is Just Right! The AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 CPU runs great! Everything runs without any issues, especially paired with the 32GB LPDDR5X memory (which is shared with the integrated AMD Readon 880M graphics, but does not use a lot). The 1TB SSD is PCI Express NVMe 4.0, and I found that it should have about 4,400MB/s read speed. Nothing extravagant, but decent enough. And with only having built-in graphics (no discrete GPU), it should play games decently, but probably not at full detail settings. Like most laptops lately, the screen is no longer the 16:9 widescreen that was popular so for so long, but a taller 16:10, keeping the 1,920 pixel width of Full HD, but increasing the height from 1,080 to 1,200 pixels. This gives a little more viewing area, which can be useful. And being a touchscreen is a plus, as long as you remember it is a touchscreen. I did find the touchscreen a bit more responsive than other laptops and even tablets I have. There isn't much of a bezel, just 3/8" on the sides, with it being a little larger on the top to accommodate the camera (with a built-in sliding cover). The screen/lid is decently thin, but still mostly sturdy. There is not much flexing to it when opening and closing. But the hinge is tight enough that it does require both hands to open. The keyboard is a typical laptop layout, fully backlit (but not too bright), and nicely for us, very quiet! And with it having very little bezel around sides the screen, that leave the overall width of laptop a bit narrower than older 15.6" 16:9 laptops. With this, most laptops give up having a keypad, but this one did still squeeze one in. But if you are used to the typical layout on a full sized keyboard, be prepared to hit Enter instead of a period as it is shifted down below the 3 (I ran into this on another laptop I have when I first got it), along with the + - / * in not normal locations. But a version of one is still better than nothing for me. And the touchpad is huge! It glides so smoothly, probably the best of all the laptops I've ever had. It does have built-in speakers, only two smaller ones hidden under the front left and right corners. Just the basics, so don't expect anything exceptional. It also has a built-in microSD card reader, so no longer needing the separate USB reader, or a micro-to-full size adapter (as with some of our other laptops). For the power supply/charger, it is a 100W with a USB-C connector, so should charge up the battery fairly quickly. It also runs in a 15W mode, so you can fast charge your phone with it if needed (but is not a Power Delivery Super-Fast charger). Also, if wanting to use as a real laptop, using in the lap, just know it does have built-in risers to help with airflow when setting on a hard surface. A shorter one on the front and taller in the back. Normally, this does seem to add some discomfort when sitting on top of the legs for too long (like some of the other laptops we have), this one is actually more comfortable with more rounded edges along the bottom. If you are a power user or just wanting to do daily tasks with a little more power than a basic laptop, this is definitely one to take a look at!

Copilot+ laptop with powerful CPU and assists

Copilot+ PCs have some really cool value add features that are difficult to account for when looking just at the hardware specs. Acer's Swift Go 16 AI with the Ryzen 9 AI 465 CPU follows a similar trend to other Copilot branded PCs that I've reviewed over the last year or so. It's got great features beyond just a super fast CPU alongside ample memory and storage. Acer's done a good job of using the onboard NPU to make the PC's advanced features more accessible to less savvy users. # Unboxing and First Impressions # Pretty standard packaging for the Acer Swift Go 16 - this isn't a "gamer" or halo product for Acer so there wasn't much to write home about with regard to the packaging. The included laptop sleeve is actually quite nice adds a decent amount of padding around the laptop without adding much bulk. Easy to slip it into a bag designed for a 17" laptop with the case on. Build quality for the Swift Go is mostly on the the premium side of budget and not the budget side of premium, if that makes any sense. The materials all feel like they are quality versions of inexpensive materials, not premium materials like aluminum or magnesium. A notable exception to this is the touch pad, which is large and feels fantastic as it is made out of Gorilla Glass. The keyboard is backlit, and extremely usable even with the backlight set to the lower settings. There is a tiny amount of flex in the keyboard as you type, so don't expect an ultra premium keyboard feel (not that you generally would for a laptop at this price point with 32 GB of RAM). One weird thing I noticed is that Acer doesn't include a PPS charger with the Swift Go 16, and it actually didn't recognize the PPS charger that I plugged in first when trying to set it up. It charges just fine with or without PPS in general - just didn't count my non-Acer branded PPS charger as being "plugged in" when I first went to turn it on. # Using the Swift Go 16 # Say what you will about AMD rebranding the same general CPUs to new names every year - the Ryzen 9 AI 465 is a really quick laptop CPU. While the Swift Go doesn't have a discrete GPU, the iGPU is a Radeon 880M and is capable of decent gaming performance in modern games. In eSports games like Overwatch, running at 1080p and mid settings it easily breaks into the 90 fps range in most situations without having to use FSR or XESS (in DX12 mode). The Copilot+ features from Acer are really good. Like a few other "AI PCs" I've used over the last year+, I think Acer has gotten things right with onboard LLM capabilities. For someone who isn't super tech savvy, the onboard Acer Sense app and voice assistant make it super easy to find and change settings to optimize your fan noise and performance. The webcam and mic features are great too - it has an auto-framing capability and does AI noise reduction and background removal. The experience is really amazing considering the AI PC is using the on-chip low power NPU vs a powerfull discrete GPU. I also wanted to highlight the coolness of User Presence Detection and how well it works with the Windows Hello camera. The laptop senses when you walk away or get back in range, and the Hello Face compatible webcam wakes up the entire laptop super fast to log you in, without having to "jiggle the mouse" by tapping a key or the touchpad. I love this feature and hope to see it on more laptops. # Final Thoughts # The Acer Swift Go AI 16 is a great laptop for someone who needs either a full 10 cores/20 threads of performance (and AMD's Zen 5c cores are much faster than Intel's e-cores), especially if they want easily accessible assistants to make them feel like a power user thanks to the on board NPU included as part of the "AI PC" moniker. Even if you don't need those assists, with the Swift Go 16 you get a very powerful laptop for crunching numbers and content creation and even some gaming without needing a power cord all the time.

It's been a minute since I owned an Acer, but I had a TravelMate way back when and this brought back so many memories. People sleep on Acer, but the build quality, feature set and size/weight proportions of this machine make it a great everyday laptop. * What was Great* • Includes a protective sleeve in the box. We're already starting off on a great foot! • Build quality - the laptop looks and feels premium/sturdy although the finish does attract fingerprints. • Webcam: the picture quality is above-average and I was quickly reminded how convenient Windows Hello (facial recognition) is and works very well here! If you're using this for virtual meetings, you'll appreciate the clarity of the camera and when you're not using it, there's a privacy shutter. • Acer Apps: the AcerSense AI was pretty cool and the fact that it can be used offline is even better. The User Sensing was very cool. It can activate your mute, dim and lock the screen - whaaatttt?! PurifiedView has some useful tools too like the Super Sharp and Automatic Framing (Background Blur if the app you're using the webcam with doesn't already support that although most do at this point). * What Could've Been Better* • I wish all the ports were USB-C. At this point USB-A is pretty much phased out. • The number pad. There's probably going to be people ready to fight me at this point haha. But hear me out, it's small and awkwardly crammed in there. It probably serves a small crowd, but the rest of us would probably leave it over taking it. • The trackpad is HUGE. Now if the huge trackpad served a purpose, like being a touchscreen with built-in writing surface like a tablet - cool. But at this point it's so large it almost creates an annoying because you have to be careful with how you rest and move your arm or risk inadvertently clicking or making other trackpad movements/actions happen. * Also worth noting * • The screen is gorgeous but it's not the brightest. I could see this appealing to someone doing photography though with the vivid colors and contrast - watching movies and TV shows - equally stunning! And with the built-in HDMI, you could always go out to an external display as well if you wanted something better. • The 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage make this a great daily driver. When you combine the Ryzen with 32GB of RAM it can pretty much handle anything you would throw at it in everyday use without stalling, locking up, etc. For most users this is more than you'll actually need which gives you room to grow into the laptop as it ages, helping it to last longer. And the 1TB of storage is great - even better if you have Microsoft 365 since you get 1TB with that as well you can literally have everything synced up both on and offline. I would go thru and take off some of the junk software that comes pre-loaded like the antivirus. • Battery life was sufficient for my daily use - spreadsheets, using various AI tools (Gemini, CoPilot, Claude), PDF documents, web-based dashboards and analytics tools, managing emails and calendars and web browsing with a lot of open windows.

After spending some quality time with this laptop, it has become an excellent addition to my daily routine. If you are looking for a machine that blends a spacious workspace with easy portability, this hits a great balance. It handles heavy day to day multitasking smoothly, meaning you can jump between intensive web browsing, streaming, and managing large files without any hint of slowdown or stutter. SLEEK DESIGN AND CLEAR DISPLAY The first thing that stands out is the clean Obsidian Black finish. It gives the laptop a modern, premium look right out of the box. The display is a generous 16” WUXGA Touchscreen. The colors are vibrant and the contrast is sharp, making everything from streaming movies to editing documents clear and easy to view. The screen gets plenty bright for any indoor environment, and the text remains crisp. The touchscreen itself is responsive, making it simple to swipe through documents, zoom in on photos, or navigate websites quickly. Many are deterred by the larger laptop screens for an implied impact on portability, but that is not the case at all here! Even with a large screen, the build is thin and lightweight, making it easy to carry around or pack into a backpack. Additionally, the included protective sleeve is a nice touch and appreciated for keeping the exterior clean and safe while traveling. SMOOTH USABILITY AND COMFORT Using this laptop every day is very straightforward thanks to its practical design. The trackpad is large and smooth, allowing your fingers to glide easily while navigating or using multi touch gestures. It is precise and registers every tap and swipe correctly. Typing is equally efficient because the keyboard features extremely comfortable and tactile keys for a laptop. The backlit keys are a helpful feature when typing in low light or dark rooms. RELIABLE POWER AND USEFUL AI Outside, yes it is aesthetically pleasing, but under the hood is where this laptop really stands out. It comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor, making it a Copilot+ PC. In everyday terms, this means it has built in smart intelligence to manage tasks efficiently behind the scenes, optimize your battery, and keep the system running smoothly. Instead of waiting on slow data networks to process smart features, the hardware handles it directly on the device, making your daily workflow feel snappy. Supporting that performance is a massive 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage. Having this much RAM means the laptop does not slow down, even if you keep dozens of browser tabs open at the same time. Plus, the 1TB solid state drive provides plenty of room to store all your programs, media files, and documents without running out of space. Acer has packed everything you could need into this laptop from a performance standpoint as from simple tasks such as web browsing and watching movies to more intensive tasks like gaming and editing videos I did not hit any roadblocks or even hiccups in the slightest. VERDICT Ultimately, this is a perfect choice for anyone wanting a reliable, future proof laptop for work or entertainment. It combines those AI capabilities with strong hardware, all wrapped in a sleek, lightweight design. It delivers a premium experience from the moment you turn it on to which I would recommend this laptop to anyone.

Big Laptop That Feels Light and Fast

I have had this Acer Swift Go 16 for sometime and I can say it has changed the way I work and not tried to do some show off trick to impress me by offering the kind of gimmicks you see in those expensive laptops. Sure, it's quick and easy, but what's more striking is how easy everything is. The design immediately makes a great impression Making it easily suited for a coffee shop or meeting room, the Obsidian Black aluminum chassis features that clean, minimalist look. It's surprisingly light you can get for a 16 inch machine (about 3.5 pounds) and incredibly thin. Well it hasn't been a problem to be carrying around all day and all that weight that's quite unusual for this size, Built solidly as well rather than flimsy and since it meets the requirements of MIL-STD 810H for durability, it gives some people a feeling of security with its inclusion in a bag. It's the display easy one of my faves, The 16” WUXGA touchscreen screen just provides you with more working space, particularly when it is related to productivity. The colour gamut of 100% sRGB ensures a rich and accurate look to the colours while 120Hz refresh rate provides everything a smooth, from scrolling through the documents to casual games. Always a good thing is the matte surface very little glare even in brighter settings, I would have thought these people wouldn't have been pleased with this non-slatey luminous surface that much, but it worked for me on a daily basis. As far as performance is concerned, it's a monster paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X ram, the AMD's Ryzen AI 9 465 can easily manage all of the programs I put on it, multiple browser apps, moving into video editing, some light gaming, etc. without slowing down. However, the feature of incorporating AI is what makes it intriguing. The features, such as Recall and Live Captions, seem to be for practice instead of experimental. If you can talk about what you saw the day before, and the system manages to bring in that image, it's something little these days, but quickly grows addictive. This laptop takes advantage of the future in the Copilot+ experience. Cocreator to create images is remarkably easy to use, and not something I would use for professional design projects, but a great brainstorming tool or for that quick image to get the ideas flowing. This is clearly an AI workflow machine and not merely a spec. Battery life was OK not the greatest but it gets to work when it needs to be. Getting really close with mixed usage (browsing, writing, streaming) and I’m getting up to approximately the advertised 12 hours before I become anxious and would be able to cover a full day of work. It is also comfortable to type on for a long time, and a separate numeric keypad is a great convenience if you work with spreadsheets. I'm not sure how the Gorilla Glass touch pad works in the GRACoL-grained mode, but it certainly feels smooth and precise, even as a detail, but it's a good advantage for the sense of premium. But the webcam's turn is even better than anticipated: The 5MP IR HDR webcam with Windows Hello logs in immediately and the AI tools such as background blur familiar to many and auto-framing aren't over processed at all. Connectivity is yet another positive attribute. It is fairly forward looking with Wi-Fi 7, several USB-C (USB4) connections, and HDMI 2.1. Didn't have to install any dongles to connect everything that I needed, which is always a plus. It has a couple of minor drawbacks. The fans can make themselves noticed under high loads, and though the speakers are ok, they aren't really outstanding for such a laptop. In addition though the AI capabilities are exciting, i believe there is still a ways to go till they are truly indispensable. Acer Swift Go 16 AI strikes a really nice balance. It is high powered, not too chunky or bulky its smart, but not too gimmicky and high quality, but not over-priced, It is a laptop with the sophistication of the next generation of AI capabilities in its future field testing while still being extremely capable in the here and now.

In the past, I’ve been pretty much an HP or Dell user. But this Acer Swift GO 16 has opened my eyes. It’s solidly made, nothing ‘cheap’ about it. For a 16” screen it’s remarkably light, just 3 ½ pounds. The computer unlocks with Windows Hello and the computer’s integrated camera. It works well, except in low light conditions where a quick 4 digit code gets you up and running. Plenty of ports for your connections. On the left side, An HDMI port, 2 USB size-C ports, and a USB size-A; on the right side you have a second USB size-A port, a 3.5mm. microphone/headset port, and a micro SD card reader. The backlit keys are very bright, there are 2 light sittings, I find the dimmer setting perfectly suitable. Normally the backlit keys time-out, but with a simple adjustment in the computer BIOS you can have the keys lit up all the time. The keyboard opens to lie totally flat if you should wish, the hinges are very steady with no wobble at all, as I said a very solid build. The battery life is very good. Under normal use I got a full 12 hours before needing a recharge I like the matt finish screen. There are lots of windows in my den, and no problem seeing the screen clearly. I’ve never had a computer with an AMD processor before, but this Ryzen AI9 flies! When I went into ‘geek mode’ and looked at reviews comparing this to an equivalent Intel processor, this AMD certainly held its own as well as surpassing in several areas. There’s a 32 GB memory and a full 1 TB storage, so there’s no skimping on its features. I’m fascinated by the AI features. My new favorite is the way the computer translates any video you have in a foreign language and prints the English text right at the top of the screen in real time. Very cool. And that’s just the tip of the AI iceberg. I can’t wait to start exploring its other uses. The ‘Swift GO’ has the largest touchpad I’ve ever seen on a laptop. It’s made of Gorilla Glass and is very responsive. The keyboard also features a full numeric keyboard, helpful when working on spreadsheets among other uses. Finally, included is a really nice zippered soft travel case for the laptop with a large zippered pocket for accessories. A premium case like this normally in other laptops is an extra cost option, it’s included here at no charge. Bottom line, this is a solid laptop with all the AI features, and if you compare its prices with other brands’ similar laptops, I think you’ll be very pleased.

I've spent several weeks now using the Acer Swift Go 16 AI primarily as a workhorse but also for some casual creative projects, browsing the web and general use. I have found it to be a very good all-around laptop that offers daily productivity with minimal friction. The Ryzen AI 9 CPU keeps my apps responsive when running several at once, and with 32GB of RAM I can run several common application workloads simultaneously such as creating documents, making video calls and having many browser tabs open without any noticeable slowdown. Additionally, I've experienced excellent battery life lasting at least a full workday under moderate use. Given the weight of the laptop compared to its dimensions, it's easy to move around without too much bulk. The build quality of the laptop feels solid and the keyboard is comfortable enough to use over extended periods of time. Some negatives are that I would say the speakers are just okay, and I can hear the fan from time to time when under heavy load while using the laptop. Each of these negatives is very minor in the scheme of how well the laptop works in general. Overall, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a lightweight, portable device that works well and has plenty of power to complete most tasks without a lot of complicated steps.
