Customers are delighted by the responsive touch screen and the ease of use of the Switch One 10. Many appreciate its portability, sufficient battery life, and the convenient size. However, some users find the limited RAM and storage to be insufficient, and the sound quality could be improved.

It's low cost, so have low expectations. Works for what I wanted, simple office work and playing dosbox games. Exult Ultima 7 runs just fine. When streaming shows the sound is tiny coming out of rear facing speakers ( dumb design). Slow to load webpages. This PC fluctuates in price from $150 to $200 and the 2GB of RAM can only do so much.

I love my Acer Switch. I previously had a ASUS Tablet, but never got comfortable using it. As soon as I opened my Acer Switch, I was very comfortable using it. Love the the fact that I can use it as a touch screen of a regular laptop. Speakers are very clear too.

good value and optimal size form

this is a good value (performance/specifications vs cost), also, the form factor is optimal. Not big and heavy like a laptop and small and tiny like 7 or 8" tablets. Of course, the overall performance is limited for the same reasons it made it attractive choice.
If windows 10 is not a limiting factor, this is a good pick!

I have a, maybe 9 year old, iPad and wanted something new since I haven't been able to update it in a few years. I wanted a laptop but with the keyboard its like a mini laptop with touch screen and so much cheaper. Had to return the first one because after 2 days it wouldn't turn on without being plugged in and staying plugged in! Even after charging overnight. And the touch screen stopped working. It was updated (like an online post suggested to do) and wouldn't even let me recalibrate the touch screen.
Exchanged for a new one.
This one the battery doesn't hold a charge long when off so I have to charge it before using if its been off for more than a day. The touch screen stopped working again but came back after restarting. Maybe I should return it for good. But ill have to pay way more for another tablet. Considering the Samsung Google one next.

I have a full sized laptop for major projects but wanted something smaller for class and easy portability. It's not the 8th wonder of the world but it is a great device with great options and features. I recommend this as a secondary device for quick access.

Acer - Switch One 10 2-in-1 10.1 Touch-Screen Laptop is a great little alternative to my desktop in my office. It is nice to be able to be portable especially for the two weeks that I was in bed with the flu and was able to keep up with my homework.

There were lots of errors with the Windows 10 update. Websites don't scale properly to the tablet's resolution. You have to press really hard to use a stylus with this screen. The operating systems and preloaded apps take up about 60 percent of the space on the 32 gb "hard drive." Even correctly configured external SD cards randomly don't show in file explorer. There is limited support for this model. The audio is distorted through the speakers. It has a wireless interface card but still doesn't recognize 5G network. The battery life is nowhere near the 10 hours reported. It's difficult to find a case that doesn't interfere with the power button. It has good picture quality but you may need to adjust the intel HD graphics interface prior to using the Windows display optimizer function.

This model has some great features and was very ease to hook up. The front is clear and readable even in low light. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade theirs. Especially if you are a gamer or enjoy big screen TV.

The laptop is nice, able to handle regular everyday work. It's unbalanced with all the weight in the touchscreen and not much in the keyboard, which means if you place it on most things that's not a table it might fall off. It also only has one USB port, so you have to be creative.

Does the job...

The Acer Switch One 10 is a fairly solid, entry-level, Windows based tablet. It is a rare breed in that it comes with an attachable keyboard. First, the tablet. It has a decent IPS screen with average color reproduction. My biggest gripe is the somewhat low resolution, but it gets the job done and helps with battery life. The overall performance is fairly snappy with basic activities such as web browsing or light productivity tasks. It can quickly bog down and part of this is due to the very slow SSD it is equipped with. Speaking of SSD, the drive after completing the update to the Win10 Anniversary edition had 16gb left. At least the tablet is equipped with MicroSD. The tablet is well built, but heavy. Almost too heavy considering its small form factor. The keyboard is useable, but flimsy. Mine doesn't sit flat on a table and has a slight twist which causes it to rock lightly. The tablet/keyboard combo has a tendency to fall backwards as it is very top heavy when installed. Key travel is acceptable. When closed the unit is about an inch thick, but still very compact. Battery life is a big plus. I have been getting 8-10 hours out of mine with heavy web browsing and multitasking. Charge time is, unfortunately, very slow. Overall, the tablet is a great value for its price. It's not a Surface Pro 4, but it wasn't meant to be. I don't know of another Win10 tablet remotely in this price range that can compete.

After you're done with initial setup and other stuff i think it was running slow a little bit ( before loading any extra files or apps ).
but for a $200 still a great device .

This 2-way is very nice. I don't think it has the capacity for game playing (the sales agent warned me) and I haven't tried to stream anything, but it's light weight and works fine for web searches, email, and the other usual stuff.

It's rare that I find myself completely underwhelmed with new technology and something else to play with. Unfortunately, this is one of those times.
Construction:
To start, this tablet weighs far too much for its size. Even without the keyboard, the device is very hefty compared to most other 10" tablets in the market, whether Windows, Android or otherwise. It does have a brushed metal backplate which helps the aesthetics, but that's about all I can give it. There is no power LED so if you do happen to have it attached to the keyboard and you close it while still on, there is no indicator that it is on. In addition, when turning it on, I'm still unsure if I'm supposed to just tap the power button or hold it down, because I can't tell it is on until the word ACER shows up on the screen.
Speaking of the keyboard, it's lightweight and reasonably nice to type on, it has the standard chiclet keys that everything of this size tends to come with, and the touchpad has a physical click, which isn't bad. Unfortunately the keyboard does not contain an additional battery for extended life, which tends to be normal for devices with detachable keyboards. As to the attachment, it's unfortunately a physical attachment, while there does appear to be a magnet at play it does not support the device or attachment itself.
This takes me to one of the few things I do like about it. The screen is actually quite nice. While limited to 1280x800 (unfortunately no 1080p here), it does look good. The touch is responsive and I have not experienced any oddities or weird double-taps. So in terms of pure functionality of the screen, it's a fair amount better than other tablets I've used in the past.
Performance:
Which brings me to the performance discussion. The Intel x5-z8300 clocks in as one of Intel's weaker Atom processors. It barely achieves better performance than the Celeron N2840 in my daughter's HP Stream 13 which is a 2 year old device. It's not bad per se, if you understand what you are purchasing, but at the price point there are Android tablets that fare better, Best Buy even has an Insignia Windows 10 tablet that while it may have the same processor, at least has a 1080p screen for the same price.
Acer unfortunately chose to install a fairly good amount of bloat on this device, which does nothing to help its situation, which, in its out-of-the-box setup after a few boot-ups still uses 1.3GB of the 1.9GB total available (this is not user-expandable).
Overall:
As previously mentioned, I'm terribly underwhelmed with this device. From its weight to its performance, the amount of bloatware and the average keyboard, with the only shining point being the nice screen, it really is something you'll only want to get if you're really understanding the limitations of a device with these specs.

Great little computer, bright screen, some finicky windows silliness that lets it down. With a little software smarts it could be everything an IPAD is at a fraction of the price. Shame MS lets down some nice engineering by Acer.

I purchased this item because I write a lot and I loved the idea of having a computer AND tablet but after getting it home, I found that it didn't fit what I needed. It doesn't take away from this system, I just didn't like it.
