Nice little laptop. Perfect for small hands. I didn't realize when I used my email address to access Microsoft on it, it linked to my other laptop and now it has to use the same password as the other laptop.

It's not great if you want it as a computer to store lots of files, but it's great for daily life things. Facebook, shopping, web surfing, low memory gaming ect... It's cheap, so don't expect a lot from it.

It is a great looking piece of equipment but the 2G sometimes are limited for today's demand of memory for a decent performance.

It does everything I need it to do for a 12 year old. It's good for older kids and adults also but if you need more from a laptop then you should upgrade to something bigger.

I was impressed off the bat with the quality of the display. It's not full HD, but has very good color, contrast and viewing angles. When being held at arm's length as a tablet the resolution seems a little low, but at laptop distance with the keyboard it looks great.
The keyboard is detachable and held on with extremely strong magnets. You can carry it it around open and not worry about it falling out. The keys are small and cramped, but that's to be expected on a device this size. The keyboard has a full size USB port that you can use when the tablet is docked.
The tablet itself has a micro USB port that you'll have to use with a host adapter or micro USB drive. Luckily the tablet does not charge through the USB port, so you CAN charge and use the micro USB at the same time.
The back of the tablet is an attractive brushed aluminum with a small plastic strip on the top. The keyboard is plastic and has a matching silver paint job.
Overall the entire tablet feels pretty zippy for basic web surfing and email. Start doing anything data intensive and the disk transfer speed seems to become a bottleneck. It would be perfect for a student (it comes with the full suite of Office Mobile apps) and for watching videos, but heavier tasks may bog down the machine. It comes with 32GB of storage built in. After the Windows install there's over 15GB left. That's actually pretty good if you're sticking with Windows Store apps. There's a MicroSD slot for adding additional space.
It's a little on the heavy side for such a small tablet/keyboard combo. The upside of this is that it seems to be built to stand up to being thrown into a backpack or book bag.

I really like the versatility of the Acer Switch One. You can easily switch from laptop to tablet, and both work well. As this is my first experience with a hybrid, I really enjoy tapping the screen and typing with the keyboard. This method seems far more efficient than using the track pad or even pairing a mouse.
The screen is sharper than I expected, if a little too glossy, and the entire device is sturdy and well built. The battery life seems sufficient, though time will tell how it holds up.
The Windows operating system is great, and when you remove the tablet from the keyboard dock, the system recognizes this and automatically switches to tablet mode seamlessly.
The downfalls, however, are too many to warrant a better rating. The entire thing is sluggish, and seems to struggle to run certain apps and even pulls up website slower than my phone. I did not expect this tablet to be the fastest, but it is noticeably slow sometimes.
The other major issue I have is that 16gb of the 32gb of storage offered are eaten up right out of the box. 10.6gb are used by the operating system! The other 5.4gb are built in apps, most of which I won't even use. These can be deleted, but I feel they shouldn't be installed in the first place.
Other than that, the screen is not the best in daylight and the speakers are so poor they are almost worthless.
All that said, I would actually recommend this hybrid tablet to anyone looking for a budget tablet with additional functionality. It's fine for surfing the web and for basic apps. I would also recommend, however, looking at other tablets first.

Nice little notebook computer

For the price, this is a great little Windows 10 notebook/tablet. Just keep in mind, though, that with the lower price comes lower performance (CPU, memory, disk space, and battery life are trimmed down). But if you're looking for an inexpensive Windows device that's easy to travel with and you aren't expecting to run too much more than the usual email, web browsing, and Office applications, then this is a great choice.
This model has 2GB RAM which is the bare minimum these days. The 4GB model would be a better choice if it's available. This is the SW1-011-13XY (2GB) model vs. the SW1-011-18US (4GB) model. In addition, the flash disk drive on it is only 32GB which is also pretty much the bare minimum. After taking it out of the box, installing all the Windows updates, installing Chrome, and syncing OneDrive (about 215MB for me) that only left about 10GB free space. But, as I said, if you have the right expectations for use, then this is perfectly fine. It also has a microSD slot, so you can get some extra storage that way, if needed.
I really like the keyboard on it, and the touch pad seems to work very well with minimal spurious movements that you sometimes get on other touch pads. The keyboard isn't back lit, but that's not too surprising for this small size and relatively small battery (8200mAh). Speaking of the battery, you can charge either using the provided ac adapter and dedicated power port, or you can charge via the micro USB. That's a nice feature when traveling if you don't want to bring along yet another power adapter.
Another nice feature of this tablet is that it connects magnetically to the keyboard section rather than using mechanical/spring connectors that can break. This makes it fairly easy to detach and reattach the tablet part. To configure it in two of the four "modes" that Acer advertises, you simply detach, reverse the screen, and reattach it. This is how you fit it to the "display" and "tent" modes. I'm not sure these modes are something most people use, but the magnetic attachment makes it really easy if you do.
In summary, I'd recommend it for people wanting an inexpensive entry-level or portable traveling notebook. I've had very good luck with Acer devices over the years and I'm expecting the same from this one.
