    Surround sound system Geek squad failed installati

    I had several geek squad members to tackle the task of installing our surround sound system with built-in home speakers. Also had a remote control that was not programmed. Process still not complete.

    Spent Christina’s eve at home waiting for a tech he came out knowing he had an 85 in alone. Said there was nothing he could do and someone would call us to reschedule and refund us the fee. Never got a call or refund. Went into the store they scheduled another appointment for 1/11. We waited 3.5 hours only to get a call where they said they had the wrong team and would need to send a different team out on a different day. This was almost the end of the window we were given. It is now 8pm the night before and I haven’t been called with a window. This is ridiculous.

    I placed an order to have an surround sound speakers, sub-woofer,and receiver, to be installed and connected to the television from the geek squad located on, Eldorado Pkwy. In Frisco. I am not happy with the installation. Several issues with the installation and requires me to use 3 separate remotes, for the television, surround sound, and DVD player. I was told that i would need to purchase a logitech remote to synchronize all 3, but would have to pay another service charge to have them synchronized. I hate to leave a negative review since the the technician was very polite and worked hard to complete the installation. Now i am going to have to live, with this situation.

    I paid for the installation of the AV Receiver/Processor Setup, since, I was informed that my present Sony Receiver would function as the "Sound Bar"? No such luck!

    Has not gone well with the actuslly set up of the A/V devise to operate easily. Repeated request for a follow up visit fir assistance havecbeen mishandled. Communications between setting the follow up visit between the store personnel setting the appointment and reason for the appointment are not getting properly relayed to the in house service team. Not happy with this part of the intsallation and use of the new Denon A/V receiver. The ball has been dropped at the goal line!

    Geek Squad installer was not able to install the tv because the mounting bracket would not fit the tv. He will have setup a another appointment to complete the job. The new appointment is on 12/14/2021 at 1-7pm.

    The agents were not experienced with my Pioneer SC75 which I bought at Best Buy. Nor with my SVS surround and subwoofers I bought from Best Buy. They were nice people but not sure they really optimized my settings as had hoped

    Cables a mess. Set up was a joke, the installer knew nothing about about my avr set up. He literally said we will find out together. Again, left a mess. Best buys scope of work includes cleaning up the wires. But i am left clueless and with wires everywhere. Specified i need dirac live run. But installer had no clue what it it is Made his own adjustments and left. No help with using the new system

    A Geek Squad tech came out to look at an audio receiver which was no longer working. The tech was unable to rectify the problem and said the receiver needed to be replaced. After calling another tech company, I found that the receiver was in perfect working order, just needed a software update. I am very disappointed that Geek Squad could not identify the problem, and would like my service call fee refunded.
