Bose cinemate sound system hook up.

Then when installers installed the tv I found that I had to pay additional for a part to actually install the Bose. $ 50.00. I should have been told all of this up front. Plus I had a vcr that I wanted hooked up which I told same to the sales rep at purchase. She advised no problem, installers advised that the vcr could no longer be hooked up with the newer television. Come on folks get on the same page. I should be reimbursed for some of the extra out of pocket and confusion.

Sound system problem.

Unprofessional third-party Best Buy geek squad rep

Best Buy geek squad sent a third-party rep that made things worse not better now instead of having to use 1 Remote now I got to use 2 to turn things on. The GEEK rep showed up in a moving van with no form of ID and barely spoke English plus barely spoke or answered any questions. For $130 an hour I was seriously angry by the time he left. So angry that I had to pay to have him come in my house and make things worse. Very upset and disappointed in the Best Buy geek squad service. Or lack of service. So very angry.

Totally waste of Time and Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paid for Geek Squad and I got a 3rd party contractor who was totally lost on how to hook up my receiver to the TV. He managed to get my receiver hooked up using a Fire Stick. Next day I purchased a digital optical cable and hooked up the system myself having to undo what he did. If Best Buy is going to use 3rd party contractors, they should make sure they are qualified. He was great on TV set up and mounting, but lost for over an hour on how to connect the receiver to the TV.

No more Geek squad for me

There is a total disconnect between customer, GeeK squad and third party of work expectations! I needed an AV receiver connected and I have Xfinity box, air play and blue tooth Receiver and all the technician did was connect wires to receiver that were already connected to speakers! I am no ???? and even my 12 yr old could do that! Not for $150?????

Poorly trianed service technician.

It was apparent early on that he didnt know what he was doing. He kept sayomg that he had it figured out but at the end of the call my system still was not working. Fortunetly, i was abke to get online assistance from Sony. Their agent determined that my kirchen soeakers wherent plugged into the proper jacks. Once they were moved i was then abke to set it up for 7.1 versus 5.1 sound. Basically, the Best Guy agent wasted my valuable time.

Factory Setup Is The Best

Geek squad told hurry up or else.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tech seemed extremely rushed and even with setup ordered wanted to do as little as possible as his supervisor apperently left him only 30 minutes total to set up a new oled tv and test it and install new avr reciever and try to hook them into house systems before his next required appt. Based of of this hard to support geek squad install and this was in town 7 miles from store what would rural service amount too hi here your stuff i am late bye?

Marantz Receiver

They indicated I required a UBS Firmware upgrade and should contact Marantz and request a Firmware upgrade card. Marantz said it has to go to a service center. I called the phone number that the tech left with me but he never responded. I then called the Geek Squad in Hyannis, MA, who said I should bring it into Best Buy to be serviced. They were unable to bring up my purchase of the receiver in their computer system, which makes no sense to me. Because they could not do so, the system would not allow them to process a repair with a Best Buy service center. As a result, I'm not impressed with the level of service after I've purchased a $1,000 item from Best Buy. I don't expect to be shopping their again in the future for any electronic items.

Bad experience with subcontractors from geek squad

It took 4 appointments with subcontractor. 1st attempt guy missed appointment time and tried to come at 8pm. 2nd he didn’t set up right. 3rd never showed up. 4th finally got set up right. Disappointed geek squad person. Subcontractor acknowledged they were not very educated on setting up audio receivers.
