Grandma and Grandpa had to do our own installation

They said it was too big to go up the stairs. It wasn't. My husband and I took it upstairs by ourselves. The second time we called them out to try hanging it (after we already installed the mount ourselves) because it was pretty heavy for two people. They said they couldn't because it was on the stairwell wall and the scaffolding we provided wasn't large enough. So, again, my husband and I did this job ourselves. The good news is that no one was injured and the TV looks great!

Horror Story
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV Wall Mount / Installation Oct 02, 2018 When I purchased the service I was informed that I was purchasing the mounting and in-wall cable / cord installation. First let me say that Best Buy uses 3rd party resources. The work is not completed by their “Geek Squad”. The Installer arrived with a rude and dismissive attitude. He refused to take a minute to discuss any of my concerns. I was then informed, “In-wall installation is $250. You didn’t pay $250. I’m not going to do it. Talk to your salesman.” I gave him two (2) Surge Protectors, each with 8 outlets and 2 USB inputs / 2700 Jules Protection each that are next plugged into a UPS. He chose to use only one surge protector, instead plugging in about $5,000 worth of equipment into the wall outlet with a simple One to Three plug adapter that has minimal protection. My entertainment credenza is about 150 plus.pounds. It had been effectively placed and left on two (2) of the AudioQuest ‘Pearl’ HDMI cables that I had given him to use. He did not know how to connect my Bose Sound bar to the rear Woofer / Speakers, so left it sitting on the floor as well as my MacBook Pro and a Blu-Ray Player piled on top of it. (Directly in the path that I use to walk from the hallway to my bed). Several cords / cables were left visible, some because he did not use the the correct length; i.e., 8 ft. HDMI being used for a short 18 inch run that is already out of view, behind the credenza, and a useing a 2 ft. cable too short to be hidden from site. Since there would be no in-wall install I gave him a self-adhesive Cable Cover that He Did Not bother to Use either, leaving a group of semi-covered cables showing. I made a complaint with BEST BUY. I have not yet heard the outcome.

Poor installation

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very poor installation, they did the TV mounting and the technicians who came are very young school children and they don't know how to take care of clean installation and How to install the screws in studs is a very dirty installation.I had a bad experience with this TV mounting squad.

It's like pulling teeth to get a tv set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First crew that came, they wouldn't even take the tv upstairs. 1 week later, another crew came to take it upstairs and mount it, but they complained about having to drive 3 hours to get to my place. Didnt set it up correctly. I have been arguing with Best Buy to get it set up correctly for over a week.

Geek Squad TERRIBLE SERVICE

The project ended up taking 2 days. I had to miss the first part of my day at work. Then, the first part of my Saturday was taking up because the guys had to come back. I live in an apartment so once I leave, I will be responsible for all the damage that BEST BUY caused. I also paid for my surround sound to be reconnected but you can see by the pictures. I was left to set that up myself.

The hole is as big as a wall clock.I have to now spend more money to repair 2 room walls. Very disappointed!
