This is perfect for a beginner. All the bells and whistles that comes with the upgraded version aren't needed, unless you doing a lot of "crazy" editing.

Adobe has always delivered the best products for photo and video editing/ retouching. The new installment of lightroom has newly added features that make it even better, and the syncing capability with Lightroom Mobile app is a huge convenience for photographers on the go

It looks like a great program but I need to learn. A lot of capabilities but a little overwhelming for a newbie. I've looked on YouTube for videos

Have been a user of Adobe's products for quite some time. I generally like what they are doing, even though some support for newer technologies can be slow to release. That said, LR and PS continue to set the bar. For the license model, I know some absolutely refuse to accept that this subscription makes sense over traditional purchase, pay of upgrades business structure. For $10 a month, I am getting constant improvement and real, usable features released as they are ready. They don't have to wait for major package updates to push those or fixes to the user base. When you consider the costs of purchase for standalone copies of LR and PS, you were somewhere around $750 at retail. Upgrades were rarely free. And oh, by the way, you never actually owned that software anyway. Look at the terms...you are granted permission to use it. CC makes perfect sense to me and I recommend to everyone who asks.

First of all, I'm not a subscribing type of person. I don't like monthly cost for things and would rather buy things out right. That being said, you can't beat this product. Having the updated version at all times and all of the cloud features, it's just worth it. I'm pretty new to light room and Photoshop but with the amount of tutorials and the hints that this program offers, I'm moving right along pretty quickly. If you're on the fence and editing pictures weekly or monthly, don't hesitate to buy this.

Most of the new PS is awesome. It runs quickly, has some new features (most of which are from Elements), and has great opportunities with all of the Cloud features. Why do I always have to have the stupid screen up though? In older versions you were able to minimize each photo making it so there was a small gallery at the bottom of my Mac toolbar. This feature seems to be missing. No it's a guessing game as to which photo is which if you have more than one open. There are other minor annoyances, but not enough to give it a three star review.

This is a fairly inexpensive way to get the use of Photoshop and Lightroom, but you need to understand that you won't own the program. This is essentially a one-year subscription to these programs, and you will need to resubscribe if you want to continue using the programs after the year ends. There are pros and cons to using the software this way versus purchasing the incredibly expensive software. People have different opinions on this, but if you're like me you can't afford the full versions of the software, and with the subscription system you won't cringe when the newer versions come out. That being said, Photoshop and Lightroom are outstanding programs. Photoshop is the industry standard and will allow you to manipulate images in just about any way you can imagine. Lightroom is more of an organizer type of software that enables you to do editing and sharing. One of the nicer features about this version is that you can use your mobile device, and it will sync with your desktop. You also will be sure that you have the most recent versions of Photoshop and Lightroom. This is an ideal option if you need Photoshop and Lightroom and don't have lots of money.

I contemplated doing an outright purchase of Adobe Light room instead of the subscription for Adobe LightRoom and Photoshop. I am glad I did the subscription. I get both for a very fair price and any updates are immediately available. I take a lot of photos in raw and jpg, and this combo is perfect for that. Light room is very easy to use once you get to know it. Photoshop is a lot but has everything I need and I don't mind having more than not having what I need. Another subscription plus is the mobile side of things. I can download my photos to my tablet which has Light room mobile on it and it will sync with my laptop. Lightroom mobile is included with the subscription and I would be lost without it now. You can use mobile lightroom to edit your photos and send to friends or whatever. You can even upload to the Creative Cloud if you want to and is included with the subscription. Lightroom mobile is a lite version of the full product but has a lot of features and is extremely easy to use. I love using it to do quick touchups and then send to my wife so she can share with her friends and family. I live that I can work with my photos on my camera using Lightroom on my laptop. Simply connect the camera to the laptop, launch light room and do your thing. Overall, I am very happy with the subscription and will definitely renew when the time comes. Oh and I don't have to hunt for my software CD/DVD anymore. Simply download with Creative Cloud manager and have fun.
