    Great Package for Photography Lovers

The Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plans are a great, all-in-one solution for both amateur and professional photographers. There's 3 different tiers, and this particular one was a sweet spot right in the middle. At a cost of $10 a month, this will run you $120 a year. Given how Adobe pricing model works, this is cheaper if you want to always have the latest and greatest updates to your apps with the benefit of some additional cloud storage thrown in. This package contains Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic. LR-Classic is a standalone product that you can continue to enjoy should you chose not to renew your subscription. This package also comes with 20GB of cloud storage, which when using RAW images isn't really a lot, but it's nice to be able to pick up and continue editing an image on my iPad. The next level up costs $10 more a month, which brings the annual total to $240, and that comes with the same 3 apps, plus 1TB of cloud storage instead of the 20GB at the $10 a month tier. I liked this package because of all the features I got to try out. I think I'll pony up for the 1TB plan next year when my subscription is up so I can do more RAW editing on the go. If you're an amateur photographer who's ready to get serious or even a professional, I think this package is the right combination of products, features, and benefits.

Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are a standard to any photographer's process of editing and enhancing photos. This yearly plan is good if you just want to pay it all in one go.

there are a number of programs that come with this, but only 4 of them are free, the rest you will have to upgrade to. im also having some issues getting this to sync with my library. i had to create a new folder to move files to just to open them up in this program.

While it says 'for Mac', it's the standard Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan (20GB storage) that works with Windows, Mac and iOS as well.

Every photographer from new to a seasoned pro needs lightroom! Lightroom is super easy and time efficient when dealing with a large number of RAW files. It does work on JPEGs too but the program’s fullest potential is with editing RAW files from your camera. I’m a professional wedding photographer and trust me when I say Lightroom saves me hours of time editing. Batch editing is where LR shines. If I want to adjust white balance, exposure levels, etc, it’s a matter of dragging some sliders and applying the changes to the photo or photos of your choosing. The features that are introduced to the latest lightroom almost eliminates my need for any photoshop. I use to finish my edits in photoshop when I need to do a healing brush but now its incorporated into LR! Why choose Creative Cloud over buying the software outright? You will always have the latest version! I used Lightroom 3 for the longest time until I was forced to buy lightroom 5 when my new camera’s RAW files were not supported in LR3. With creative cloud, you will always have the latest version. You can also choose to do a traditional install, aka Lightroom Classic, where it will be installed on your computer and function like a standalone copy of lightroom. This version of CC comes with access to the latest photoshop. Very easy to start with lightroom and do your batch edits there. Then fine hone the photos that needs additional work in photoshop. The price to buy both Lightroom and Photoshop separately is staggering! This yearly price is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of owning photoshop. Here is my process after a long wedding day shoot. Download memory cards full of RAW files via lightroom and converting them to DNG and applying my copyright info into the metadata. Cull the thousand or so photos to a manageable level for edit with the use of flags. Batch edit the photos and convert to JPEGs for client. Finish edit in photoshop if I needed to clone something out. I highly recommend Adobe creative cloud to all photographers new or pro. Lightroom is very fast to learn and master. Photoshop on the other hand requires a bit more time invested to learn.

    Best value for Photoshop

Good: Always current version of Photoshop and Lightroom 20 GB of storage Portfolio website Bad: You're leasing the apps I've been subscribed to the Photography plan for a few years now and overall satisfied with what I get. I only use Photoshop for digital art and have never touched Lightroom, but this plan is the best value. The Photoshop only plan costs $20 a month, but comes with more online storage. The good thing about the subscription is that Photoshop is always up to date and you get the newest version as soon as it's available. The downside is that you don't own the app like you used to with the Photoshop CS series. Unfortunately there's no option to plain out buy the current version and keep it, but that's how the software market have shifted to. If you only use it a few times a year then it's best to go with a monthly plan. With this plan, you also get 20 GB of online storage, and a portfolio website. I dabbled a bit with the portfolio creator, and it's like using a website creator with pre-made styles. It's enough to get your work up, but if you want a totally custom site then you'll still need to create your own. As for the individual apps, if you completely new then you should know what you're getting into. Photoshop is the industry standard and can have a high learning curve. This is the full advanced photo editing and paint app, unlike the very basic Photoshop Element. New features are added yearly so it'll take some time to learn. Lightroom is a more streamlined but more limited with its editing features. It's mainly used to organize a large stock of photos and integrated with Photoshop. I've never had any real problem with the software, but on rare occasions you might have issues with membership status that you'll need to contact support to clear it up. Other than that, it's still the same great Photoshop I've used over the decade.

Having used the Adobe Elements product line for the last few years, I smugly thought I was around an Intermediate Level when it comes to image editing. Then I accepted a Tech Insider Network offer to use and review the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan. Oh my! When I began using Photoshop CC for the first time, I quickly found out that I had barely scratched the surface of photo editing. Photoshop CC is definitely for the pros, but I tried to learn as much as I could anyway. Photoshop CC and its accompanying applications in the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan are very, very powerful and have a lot of help already built into the software. Which I used plenty. However, I was most successful after I began tapping into the abundance of Photoshop tutorials available on the Internet. One tutorial in particular showed me that Photoshop CC was all powerful when it comes to converting a color photograph into grayscale line art. Something I’m asked to do from time-to-time by a porcelain artist in our family. With some photo editing software you can do that conversion with one or two clicks, but you have to accept the preset results. Basically, you get what you get and it’s usually less than great. However, with Photoshop CC you control all aspects of that process until you are happy with the results. The tool I was most impressed with was Photoshop's intelligent and content-aware Spot Healing Brush. That little jewel is the most advanced tool I've ever used for cleaning up and removing unwanted artifacts from scanned images of the 130+ year old 1880s magazines we collect! I’ve also used it to restore some old photographs from the 1800s. Thank you for that tool. I don't mean to gush, but wow is it great. I could go on and on and still never come close to reporting everything available in Photoshop CC. Let's just say I'm impressed, but quite a bit overwhelmed. The only negative I experienced was that Photoshop CC crashed twice in the first couple of days using it on my very capable Win 10 PC. However, in the weeks since, I’ve not experienced a repeat. The Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan is a powerful beast not made for the timid. However, if you're already a somewhat skilled image editor or just a very adventurous soul, you won’t find this software lacking! It's been the gold-standard of photo editing software for years for a reason. I highly recommended because I’m impressed, not because I’m some kind of expert. Me? I plan on renewing in 11 months simply for the content-aware Spot Healing Brush!

Still perfer local software to CC

I have been a long-time user of Lightroom and Photoshop Elements. Over 90% of my post-processing is done in Lightroom (LR) with occasional calls to Photoshop for doing more elaborate healing, creating layered effects, and merging photos. The following describes my experience moving from this workflow to the Creative Cloud (CC) environment. Pleases note that there two versions of LR in the “Photography Plan”, a local version with full functionality (Lightroom Classic CC [LRCCC]) for the Windows and iOS operating systems and a somewhat less functional, cloud-based version (Lightroom CC [LRCC]) accessible on most mobile and web-enabled platforms. The version of Photoshop provided in the Photography Plan runs locally and can open local and files synched in the CC environment. The first thing I did was import images into the CC environment. This was done by importing local files into Lightroom CC (LRCC) or by opening local files in Photoshop CC (PSCC) and “sharing” them with LRCC. Photos “shared” with LRCC eventually appeared in the synched catalog in Lightroom Classic CC (LRCCC). During navigation to local content in LRCC, I noted that some of the file menus were not optimized for a 4K display. This made folder navigation a challenge. Even with 200 MBps internet speed, synching 43 MB raw files in LRCC took about 30sec/photo. Be prepared to wait a while to upload and synch lots of files. Also keep in mind that virtual copies of photos created and edited in LRCCC are not synched in LRCC or PSCC. This was a real inconvenience when I had created two versions of an image from the same raw file. You can only synch one LRCCC catalog at a time with LRCC. Images imported into LRCCC can be automatically synched with LRCC by adding them to a synched collection. I decided to try the system out on one catalog (A) and later decided to use another (B) by enabling “Synch with Lightroom CC” under my name in the top-left corner of LRCCC. After setting B as my synch catalog, previously synched photos from A began appearing “uninvited” in B. I tried removing them from LRCCC B, but they kept reappearing. Online help suggested that there was no way to remove them from the LRCC catalog without deleting them from the local disk. I copied the raw images to a backup location and deleting them from the LRCC catalog. It turned out that they were not deleted from my local disk after all. The difference between the claimed and actual behavior was unexpected and not in a bad way. After importing a bunch of photos individually into LRCC, I discovered that a collection of photos within the synched catalog in LRCCC can be designated as synched. These photos will synch with LRCC and PSCC without having to import them individually in the CC platforms. However, once synched, a photo remains synched even when it is removed from the synched collection. Deleting images in LRCC is the only way I have found to un-synch them. Having a photo open in the Develop module of LRCCC will prevent changes in LRCC from being applied. Be sure to go to Library module in LRCCC before editing images in LRCC. Changes in LRCC can take a few minutes to appear in LRCCC. LRCC was easy to install on my iPhone and it was nice to be able to edit and synch photos taken with my phone. However, I don’t typically use my phone for any serious photographic projects. I did like that the mobile version does not use cellular data by default. Like LRCC on other platforms, phone-based edits to synched photos take a few minutes to refresh on LRCCC. CC should not be considered as a replacement for local storage and a reliable backup system. It would be very easy to fill the default 20GB of online storage offered with my subscription. You need to be very selective about what you upload to CC and use it only for working copies of images that you want to edit remotely, keeping them there only as long as you need that flexibility. One good outing with my A7R2 can easily generate more photos than the 20GB subscription would accommodate. Plans with 1TG are available for an additional $10/mo and 10TB plans are available. Still, Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 2018 (even with Premier Elements included) are cheaper than the annual subscription price for the 1TB subscription. I am used to using software locally and don’t find much advantage to the CC “solution”. It does get you a full version of Photoshop and I can’t find a way to purchase the full version of Photoshop without going to the subscription service. Call me “old school”, but I prefer to have software installed and running locally. The Photographer package is still good way to get the full versions of LR and PS if Elements is not enough for you.

The Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan is the simplest and easiest way to get access to all the programs that you need in order to a be a professional or hobbyist photographer. I use lightroom and photoshop on a daily basis to edit my photos! Lightroom is fast and efficient at sorting and organizing everything and Photoshop is great for adding those extra little touches. The ability to have 20 gb of cloud storage space and the ability to edit on your ipad or any device with Lightroom CC is a nice added bonus and I think the value of the plan itself is very affordable! You can't beat 9.99 a month! Overall I think the adobe plan is 100% worth the money!

This is a great improvement in the Photoshop and Lightroom apps. Of course they'll always try to improve. The new advances to the brush control and with the support of OpenType variable fonts, it makes adding text so much easier without having to search for specifics. And these are just a couple of whats new in 2018. Before thinking about getting this app, make sure your computer can handle it. System requirements macOS -Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support -macOS version 10.13 (High Sierra), macOS version 10.12 (Sierra), or Mac OS X version -10.11 (El Capitan)2 GB or more of RAM (8 GB recommended) -4 GB or more of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation -1024 x 768 display (1280x800 recommended) with 16-bit color and 512 MB or more of dedicated VRAM; 2 GB is recommended* -OpenGL 2.0-capable system Windows -Intel® Core 2 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor; 2 GHz or faster processor Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 -2 GB or more of RAM (8 GB recommended) -2.6 GB or more of available hard-disk space for 32-bit installation; 3.1 GB or more of available hard-disk space for 64-bit installation; additional free space required during installation (can't install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system) -1024 x 768 display (1280x800 recommended) with 16-bit color and 512 MB or more of dedicated VRAM; 2 GB is recommended* -OpenGL 2.0-capable system * 3D features are disabled on 32-bit platforms and on computers having less than 512MB of VRAM. Oil Paint filter and video features are not supported on 32-bit Windows systems. if you're new to Photoshop or Lightroom, there is quite the learning curve. But since there are a ton of "How to" tutorials on youtube and such, this is a very powerful photo editing and creative processing tool. I highly recommend getting this product, IF... you're serious about your photography and/or creating digital works of art. But you should be aware that this is just a subscription (1yr) and this particular product is Adobe's cheapest route. I've been a user of Photoshop and Lightroom for several years now. I have tons of plugins that complement them very nicely. I have learned from a lot through tutorials all over the internet and i'm pretty sure you could as well. Have fun!
