It is fun to use the software as you improve your photos on your computer before sharing them with your friends. It is easier to use than other software. Feedback from other photographers has been helpful and gratifying. I recommend it for novices as well as experienced photographers,

I bought this to upgrade from PSE12. I have been using Photoshop Elements since it was first created and free. This is the first time I bought an upgrade and had everything stop working in the organizer. I cannot access the catalog for images that were imported from my PSE12 catalog. New photos work fine. Adobe has had a support issue for this open now since I upgraded, over 30 days ago with still no resolution and no communication about any potential work around. I would not upgrade but stick with your current version or wait until the next release.

Good value. Nice that the 4 Gig memory limit has been broken for the photoshop. Some problems with the ver 14 install due to adobe files leftover despite my uninstall of elements 12. Phone and online support from adobe helped and got me running. All in all happy I made the upgrade.

Wasn't what I needed.

I've used Adobe since my college days, but the most recent Elements wasn't anything special that I didn't already get with 11. What I really needed it for was for taking images from video, and unfortunately they removed that aspect from this version. So I wasn't impressed and returned it after trying the online 30-day version.
The layout is the same from the 10 version and on; bright white background, large icons, easier and more simplified interface. Now, they have a different registration protocol than before for signing into your Adobe account. I actually made an another account with this newer version.
Adobe is really just pushing people towards joining the Creative Cloud. That's fine, and if you're an artist using it for marketing, you would definitely need the CC, it would pay for a complete version of C6 in 5 years anyways. But for those who don't have Photoshop, or don't need Lightroom, Illustrator and all the other bells/whistles, this watered down version might be to your liking. It wasn't for mine.
(Also, the box includes the download card, not a CD. So you'll need internet access.)
