Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018 raise the bar for photo & video editing software. Easy to install & very intuitive, Photoshop Elements brings your photos to life, allowing the most detailed editing with a common sense approach. Premiere Elements facilitates sophisticated video editing, whether captured by your cellphone, video camera, or shot on a digital still camera, and is very easy to use. I used Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom previously for photo editing & Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing. Photoshop Elements brings the essential ingredients with some attractive automatic features from Photoshop, without the steep learning curve. The results are much faster, stress free, fun photo editing straight out of the box. Yet it features much greater customized photo editing capabilities than Lightroom. The first attached photo shows a picture of a Zebra I captured & edited with Photoshop Elements right after installation without reading any instructions. The workflow just makes sense. It is so easy to use, photos can be edited in seconds. The second attached photo shows the Preferences page from Premiere Elements. I posted this to show all of the available video parameter adjustments that are possible. Both attached photos are displayed on a Sharp 4K monitor at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels (4K Ultra-HD). The requirements listed on product packaging include minimum 1280x800 display resolution. No mention is made as to maximum monitor resolution (various software require you to reduce resolution to match a specific resolution set by the software). Thankfully, this software works perfectly at 3,840 x 2,160 so no adjustments for proper display were necessary. Two DVD's are included in the box: one for Windows and one for Mac. If you do not have a DVD drive, the address on the package allows downloading directly from the Adobe website. This software is for one user. The license agreement specifically states: "You can install it on two computers, but you can only use one copy of the software at a time." Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements share a common Organizer that provides easy access to all photos & videos. Buying both as a bundle saves money & makes sense. No more searching for your media; Organizer keeps all photos & videos in one place & permits easy sharing to social media. Some of the more amazing features of Photoshop Elements are: 1- Open closed eyes in photos (software copies / pastes open eyes from the same person taken in a different photo). 2- Replace backgrounds in seconds. 3- Add motion blur to create an action shot. 4- Locate photos by people, places or events. 5- Simple tutorials describe how to perform each of these & many other tasks. CONCLUSION: Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018 are in a class by themselves. They represent the most powerful, easy-to-use software for photo & video editing today & earn my Highest Recommendation!

The installation of Adobe Elements was a breeze. The box includes two DVDs but my Mac and Windows PC don’t have disc drives. Instructions were included for downloading the software without needing the DVDs. On the back of the DVD sleeves, though, you will find the serial #s needed for the activation of the product. The key feature of this software is that it bundles the Adobe Photoshop Elements (for editing pictures) and the Premiere Elements (for editing video). Both of the applications include tutorials that are extremely helpful for someone who hasn’t tried editing software before. You can choose from 4 different starting guides on both and they are eLive, Quick Guide, Guided, and Expert. eLive will give you ideas found on the internet on what you can do with your photos or video. QuickGuide allows you to edit your photos or video with preset settings, usually adjusting sliders until you find something that you like and save your project. Guided is for when you are ready for a slightly more in depth experience. It will teach you step by step what to look for when editing but allow you to make the changes you want to make. Expert mode removes all restrictions and allows you to use all tools with no guidance. The performance of the software was fast. For the Photoshop Elements, at no point did my computer slow down. However, I exceed the minimum and recommended requirements for the software. I did use this product on the MAC only because it's what I use for editing the most. Coming from Apple’s editing software, I had to relearn a few keyboard shortcuts but hovering the mouse over what you want to do will tell you what they are. I didn’t have a problem saving any of my files and the guides were a great help for learning what the tools do. For the Premiere Elements, I edited some video footage I had recorded of video gameplay. I was able to add transitions and overlays in a cinch. Again, the guided tabs are a great help for getting exactly what I wanted while being helped along the way and not having to guess what each tool does. Overall, the programs worked without slowing down the computer or my workspace. The software meets my expectations. In a matter of minutes, I was able to take a vacation picture that was blurry and dull in color and give it a little more vibrance. An amazing tool that you can use is called the Before and After image, allowing you to see the original file vs. your edited file before finalizing your work. It makes things easier to determine if you want to keep the changes or not. The price PSE2018 in terms of value is fair. Other programs may cost twice as much but this will be helpful for the hobbyist who wants to add a new touch to his/her photos or videos without things getting too complicated. I highly recommend this product for people who are venturing into the editing world for the first time and want to see if they can learn the tools. The guided tabs make a great photo/video editor expert out of anyone and your edits will look like something you will want to show off. New YouTubers or streamers will be able to use Photoshop Elements to make great thumbnails and Premier Elements for editing their video files with cool intros and transitions.

Photoshop is the gold standard for a reason. I’m not convinced there are enough new features to encourage existing users to upgrade, but if you are new to photo editing, this new edition is great. There are plenty of guided features and tutorials built into the programs to ensure anyone can edit their photos or videos. P.S. someone said that there was no download code and that this software does not work on computers without a DVD player, but that is simply not true. Adobe gives you a link in the box to download the software with the included software keys.

As a Grandparent, who loves to take family photos and videos of my Grand Children, Adobe's Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2018 has enabled me to create a treasure trove of memories. Long ago I faced the fact that I would never be a professional photographer. Nevertheless, it hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for taking family photos and videos. Go ahead, I dare you, ask me if I have any photos or videos of my Grand Kids with me. My Smart Phone will entertain (or bore) you for over two hours. I have a HD video-cam and HD camera, but I use my Smart Phone for most of the photos and videos that I take. It is super-convenient for me to use my Smart Phone because of its large storage capacity, HD resolution, and I carry my Smart Phone with me everywhere I go. What's in the package of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018: * An Installation DVD For Windows OS. * An Installation DVD For Mac OS. * Instructions How To Download Software If You Do Not Have A DVD Drive. * NOTE: Adobe Allows You To Install This Software On Two Of Your Computers. The DVD installation process for Windows 10 was easy. After inserting my DVD into my desktop computer's drive 'Autorun' prompted me to either sign-in to my existing Adobe account or create a new one. My E-Mail addy and password were required along with the Serial Numbers at the bottom of the Windows OS, DVD envelope for each software installation. It took approximately ten minutes each to install both separate programs. Be aware that both programs together are huge and take up approximately a total of ten Gigabytes of hard drive space. I also installed this bundled software on my high-end, touch-screen laptop. It is 'Touch-Screen' enabled, so I didn't have to use my mouse. What is new is Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018: * Elements Organizer - is faster then ever and feature-packed. It allows you to choose your 'best' photos through Auto Curate, which analyzes your photos through its intuitive, artificial intelligence, based on quality technical criteria. – Outstanding new feature so you don't have to spend hours going through hundreds or even thousands of your photos to pick the 'best' ones. However, Auto Curate can take some time as it goes through your entire collections. * Slideshow Feature – One of my favorites. After using Auto Curate you can easily and quickly put together a quality slideshow using your 'best' photos. Yes, I put one together with great pics of my Grand Kids as they grew up from babies, to toddlers, to elementary school. I also added music and captions to my first slideshow and created a theme with the first frame. * At the top of the Organizer's window there are five choices from which to choose: eLive (tips, news, and creative ideas), Media, People, Places, and Events. The search bar lets you filter collections by people, place, keyword tags, media type, dates, and folders. You can mix your search criteria to refine the results in any combination. * Smart Tags – Again using artificial intelligence Adobe identifies what's in your photo. It recognizes animals, people, backgrounds, flowers, beach, etc. and tags them so you can find easily in 'Search'. This is an amazing new feature. * Open Closed Eyes – In addition to facial recognition you can open eyes on a photo, which are closed. However, you need to have a photo of that face with eyes opened, or you can use Elements substitute set of eyes. * Auto Selection Tool – Easy to use for editing because you don't have to be accurate. Just draw around the content in your photo you want to select. You can select multiple objects too. * Guided Edits – These are super-handy, easy, step by step instructions, which include four new options: Replace Background, Double Exposure, Shape Overlays and Watercolor. I love using the Replace Background Edit. I have my toddler Grand Kids walking on the moon. * Video Tutorials – There are numerous video tutorials, which are extremely helpful to understand the various options and tools of your editing process. I refer back to them frequently. What's new in Adobe Premiere Elements 2018: * Elements Organizer – It is included in this software too since both of these programs can be purchased as 'stand-alone'. * Candid Moments – This feature allows you to capture still photos by extracting them from your videos. Once created you can then edit that particular photo with all of the various editing tools. However, these photos are not going to be the same high resolution you would get as if you actually took the photo(s) with your camera or Smart Phone. * Smart Trim – Again, Adobe utilizes artificial intelligence to trim your longer videos by extracting the 'best' parts based on quality technical criteria and assembles them together in a much more condensed version. * Guided Edits – From the basics of video editing processes like trimming, adding clips, titles, etc. Guided Edits presents step by step instructions to walk you through the video editing processes. Other guided edit categories include Video Adjustments, Audio Adjustments, and Fun Edits. * Freeze Frame – In Fun Edits you can freeze a frame of any kind of motion action and add a title to it for more professional looking results in either Quick or Expert mode. * Bounce Back Effect – Again, under Fun Edits you can create some forward and backward motion in your video for real 'fun' effects. However, this feature can only be accomplished in the Expert mode. * Action Cam Footage – Before using this editing tool it would you may wish to use Smart Trim first to get your 'best' video clips condensed. Under Video Adjustments you can correct or enhance your videos' color using Color Correction, and fix the fish eye effect using the Lens Distortion tool. * Create An Animated Social Post – In Fun Edits you can add animated text and titles to your videos and photos. You can then customize the font style, position, and animation of the text to quickly create short videos that are ready to be shared on social media, such as Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo. * Video Tutorials – As in Photoshop Elements there are numerous helpful video tutorials to walk you through the various editing processes in detail. I have spent at least three hours a day for the last week enjoying the various options and editing tools of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 and Premiere Elements 2018. I can't believe how organized my albums and slideshows are. It is so easy to search and find photos now. The more I use this program the easier it is to understand how to edit my treasured photos. I have just completed my first video edit primarily using Smart Trim, and, am amazed just how 'smart' this automated video editor actually is. My first edited video is of my Grand Kids at a Playground and, now only a quarter of its original size, but packed with action. An immediate advantage of using this software is that it makes me more aware of what quality photos and videos should look like. WooHoo! I highly recommend the purchase of the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 and Premiere Elements 2018 bundle, for folks, who want topnotch editing tools and results. This bundle is especially beneficial for beginners because the Edit Guides and Video Tutorials make the editing process so easy. What you can do with this software is absolutely amazing. This software would make a great gift for someone on your list who appreciates quality family photos and videos. This software is a 'Must-Have'. You won't be disappointed.

Great for beginners, powerful tools, easy to use!.

I am a novice photoshop user at best. I know this software can get pretty into detail and that I'm not quite there yet. Having this software to learn from has given me huge opportunity to sharpen my editing skills. The install was very easy. One small thing to keep in mind is that this need a LOT of room to install, something like 10 gigs. I have played computer games that require less. All in all adobe holds its own and this titan in the photo editing space is here to stay.

I upgraded from a 8 year old version of the same product when I upgraded my computer. They've added some nice new features and it is definitely faster than the older version. I have had it crash several time though, so it could be a little more stable. Hopefully they will resolve that with an update in the near future. Since I store all my photos and videos on a home server and have well over a decade of media on there, The organizer is a nice way to consolidate it all. It also does pretty much everything I need it do to to photos and videos. I'm sure the full photoship and Premier software has a lot more to offer, but for what I need to do, it gets the job donw.

OMG new features that are so cool. !st I had a coupon for $60 off. You have to see Slideshow tool. I am sold....Photoshop Elements 2018: Auto Select For amateurs and pros alike, selecting objects or people and separating out foregrounds from backgrounds, evokes major time-sucking anxiety. With the new Auto Select feature, all you have to do is draw a box or Ellipse around a subject, and the tool immediately recognizes the foreground and the background for a surprisingly accurate selection. All I can say is AWESOME

I use to own "Picture It", a great little program that was easy to use...I use to make some great personalized greeting cards with it, posters, and could be creative with Pics I took..... But then PIcture It was discontinued, and I have searched for a replacement....there are a lot of free software programs out there, but they come up short, in a lot of areas.... Finally bit the bullet, and bought Photoshop Elements 2018....not an easy program to use like Picture It....there is no manual for this(Picture It had one)....thought the "dummies" book version would help, it didn't... So, if you think you are going to buy this program and use it, without some sort of training(know how people buy things and never read the owner's manual?), you will be sadly disappointed.... It's like any other program, you will have to set aside time, to learn how to use it......I went to the Adobe site, and started watching tutorial videos....there are a lot of them......but if you don't watch them, you will be frustrated trying to use this program....and also, you will not get the full benefit of the program, because this program has so many features and once you start to use them, correctly, it basically becomes second nature...….Picture It was a very easy program to learn....Photoshop Elements is not as easy..… You will have to "go to school to learn it".....as I said there are videos on Adobe, and many on YouTube, and you can buy workshop books...…..But if you have not been exposed to a program like Photoshop, you will be disappointed if you think it's just something you will pick up on your own......it is a valuable tool, but you must leant to know how to use it......

such diversity and many options to basically do whatever you want! The video editing is so amazing and room for improvement for your videos. I love clipping songs and adding them to my vids.

Haven’t really played a lot but so far I’m satisfied with what I can do. Pretty sure I will be able to do awesome things with my videos and pictures.

It is a great program. Doesn't do quite everything I was looking for, but it has other features I hadn't thought I would need that I really like.

Simple things like. Erasing lines or acne or spots on your face or replacing back grounds is easy. Everything else seems to be more complicated but you can watch you tube videos to see how to do it. There is some guided edits . But once you know how to edit your photos this program makes your photos absolutely perfect. I love it

I have used this combination software for several years and find it improving every year. Photoshop elements is much like photoshop and process RAW files. Combined with premiere elements you can produce great video and enhance your photos. They claim this is for beginner and I will have to agree except it can do much more/

Prior to purchasing Premiere Elements 2018, I owned Premiere Elements 2015 and although this isn't much of an upgrade, there are definitely some new features. Also, if you're a beginner like me when it comes to photo and video editing, then this is highly recommend as it is very user friendly.

I used 2.0 in my day and i really like this version. It has ease of use tools. Acne correction.
