This is just what I need to for light photo editing to make the pictures I take of my kids pop and have fun. Very simple to use and handy in improving my pictures and tweaking them a bit to make them look good or goofing around and having fun and making meme's with the kids for laughs. We had fun. The only thing to watch out for is Adobe installs a ton of extra services that while not horrible just annoying to have more things running at startup and make letting you know. Overall though totally worth it for easy simple photo editing and goofing around with the family.

Had trouble installing this software. 3 adobe C.S.Rs couldn't figure it out, nor could geek squad, twice. I would love to return it but they don't do returns on digital software. Even if I never downloaded it at all. What a headache.

it's constantly asking me to purchase it. then it ask me to purchase adobe on my mac

I am a 53 year old artist who really hasn't done much art since high school but I love messing around with programs like this and creating something new out of something pretty basic. This program is easy to get started, yes there's a ton of options but you can play with them and always undo. I spent a few hours with this when I first booted it up and I had a ton of fun. The help section is pretty good and the emails I sent to Adobe were responded to promptly and with friendliness. The support seems to be very good from my experience. I am not using this professionally but I imagine a lot of folks are like me and would enjoy this whether its for professional use or artists like myself who just want to create and modify pictures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As a user of both Photoshop Elements, and the all-out Photoshop CC, I definitely appreciate Photoshop Elements. Even though I use Photoshop CC and am rather proficient with it, I appreciate Photoshop Elements for its ease of use, This is a piece of software that is suitable for almost anyone who wants to edit a photograph or create "art" on the computer with photos. TL;DR - Photoshop Elements provides a powerful yet simple image editing tool that is compatible with Photoshop CC (if needed), doesn't require a subscription, and serves purposes that meet the needs of users of any level, even those with the full Photoshop on their computer. If you are using an M1 Mac like I am, Photoshop Elements installed and runs just fine. I'm not sure if it is running natively or not, but I received no warnings or instructions when installing it. Some of the advantages of Photoshop Elements over Photoshop CC include: - No subscription - pay once and keep using it - Easier to use if you are not comfortable, or only moderately comfortable using Photoshop - Saves files in the same PSD file type as Photoshop, so your file can be opened by someone who uses Photoshop, and you can also open PSD files (although you may lose some elements not be able to properly view them, depending on what features may be included in a specific file). Here is a brief review of this program for 3 types of users. I AM FAMILIAR WITH AND USE PHOTOSHOP CC For users of the full-blown photoshop, this program is simplistic and limiting, which is both a blessing and a curse. It allows you to make many edits that you would do in Photoshop, but with some limitation on its full abilities. If you are looking for all of the controls, go back to Photoshop. If you are looking to make some quick enhancements, remove an element from a photo, correct red eyes and facial blemishes on both people and pets (pets newly added in the 2022 version), and add some quick bling, Photoshop Elements will likely meet your needs and provides a fast way of doing it. I HAVE LIMITED OR NO EXPERIENCE WITH PHOTOSHOP OR HAVE USED ANOTHER IMAGE EDITOR Going from zero to Photoshop is a huge, intimidating leap for many users. There is practically no end to what you can do in Photoshop, and the range of tools available is overwhelming. For those looking to step back a bit, or wanting to learn Photoshop but in a more delicate way, this is the perfect starting place. The program's 3 editing environments (Quick, Guided, and Expert) make for a graduated learning experience. The Expert level offers all of the tools available in Photoshop Elements, and puts the user in "dumbed-down" version of Photoshop by including a slightly smaller enhancement and drawing panels, layers and effects, and filters. However, you can start by using the Quick and Guided editing environments to learn about the different ways to modify a photo and gain better understanding of the process. I'M NEW TO THIS WHOLE IMAGE-EDITING THING While the term "Photoshop" is intimidating to users in this category, this program is able to offer a surprising number of abilities in the most simplistic manner possible. Using the Quick Mode, the user can use Smart Fix and immediately enhance a photo, without having to have knowledge of much else. There are similar buttons for exposure, lighting, color, balance, and sharpen. I like the way that under each tool, there are 8 samples that you can hover over to see the effect it will have on the photo. While this is way too simplistic for someone who wants the power of Photoshop, it makes it easier for any user, including Photoshop users, to make these quick fixes. UPGRADING Should you upgrade if you are using an older version of Photoshop? If you are using the 2021 version, I don't think this upgrade is worth the cost. The new features are very minimal, with the biggest being automatic updates. If you are using the 2020 version or earlier, this may be a version worth upgrading to, with several additions to the Guided menu. Check out Adobe's website (search Photoshop Elements 2022 to find it quickly), and click on the. Compare > Compare Versions button near the top to compare the 2022 version to any one going back to 2019. EXPERIENCE I spent some time making edits to a few photos using mostly the Guided and Expert environments. One of the tools I am continually impressed with over the last couple of versions is the object removal tool. It does a great job of truly considering the surroundings of the object to "fill in the hole". As an experienced Photoshop user, I still go back to this program to do this quickly and easily. I love using it to remove annoyances like power lines, and even debris on the camera lens that creates weird effects. I did not experience any crashes (wow, really???) during my usage (Photoshop users, especially from the Creative Suite days, know what I'm talking about!). Overall, highly recommend. I should also mention again I am running Photoshop Elements 2022 on an M1 Mac (Mac Mini specifically) and I did not experience any issues during installation or while using it. To me, Photoshop Elements is just the best all-around photo editor to accommodate all levels of users.

This makes editing photos so simple and easy. Ive used different versions of this software for 3 years, it makes editing blemishes and so many things from a person a breeze. This software can edit 10 years off your age in a photo, and edit items like a scratch of a pimple. So easy to use on a portrait or even a small group photo. The skin smoothing feature is great at removing wrinkles or creasesfrom turning your head. I highly recommend this software to anyone who enjoys taking pictures.

Photoshop has always been my go-to for creative works. I have used Lightroom and Photoshop, and getting the chance to see Elements 22. The interface is user-friendly enough, the main screen isn't overwhelming with advanced options, and it walks you through the various functions if you need it. I use Photoshop for creating images and graphics for web profiles, and having a program that doesn't clutter up my workspace is imperative. Of note, I use it on my Surface Pro and I have noted some issues with the pen interface. I am not sure if this program was designed to utilize a pen and tablet setup, so keep that in mind if you are planning to use this on a tablet device.

Adobe - Photoshop Elements 2022 is just what I expected. I've used older versions in the past, and this one is just as good with more features.

First I'm probably not the typical type of person that would need this program. So my experience with it's predecessors is near zero. So my experience with this program showed me how much I really wasn't missing. The programs main home screen will open but Elements would open maybe 1 in 5 or more tries. When it did open I found it to not be easily navigated to do anything. It took a lot of trial and error to accomplish anything. Again I came into this pretty much a newbie Photoshop user and now really don't feel I will want to spend the time to figure it out? If you have previous knowledge of Photoshop then this version will most likely work fine for you (if it opens?) But if your looking to jump into the Photoshop arena you might want try an older version first?
