Need More Power, But At Least You Can BUY Them

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As an advanced note: I bought Photoshop Elements because I used to have real Photoshop, and Premiere Elements because it was part of a bundle. I stopped updating my old Photoshop version when Adobe made it a subscription program -- I REALLY don't like software subscriptions -- and kept it limping along for years, but it simply won't run any more. I knew Elements lacked the Channels and Curves commands, which I used a lot, but I decided to try it. This brings a warning: Photoshop Elements is NOTHING like the pre-subscription Photoshop. If you're like me, you'll have a significant learning curve. But the color correction tools make up for some of the lack of Curves. Not everything; I'm using Acorn for that. But it might suffice for you. As for Premiere, I didn't have high expectations. I find it very disappointing that it can't burn media. (Yes, I'm a fossil, I still burn CDs and DVDs sometimes.) So you have to edit a file, save it as an MPEG or something, then burn it using something else. This is not my idea of fun. But it seems to have better ability to make videos of one's screen than most of the alternatives, so maybe I'll find a use for it.

Elements Applications Work Well For Me

I prefer the Elements versions but I do use both versions of Photoshop. For video editing, I only use the Elements version. I use these products for personal projects at home.
