Air purifiers have become more popular in the last year or so as the pandemic ramped up, as people had to spend a lot more time confined inside their homes. Since homes are said to have several times the pollution indoors as there is outdoors, it’s a good idea to have at least one or two of these devices around your living and bedroom areas. Not all are created equal though, and “HEPA” filters also vary. The Aeris Cleantec Aair Lite is an air purifier that offers a H13 type HEPA filter. Typical true-HEPA filters can usually filter out particles in the air as small as .3 microns in size, which covers the basics like smells, pollen, pet dander, dust, smoke, etc. But viruses and many bacteria are .1 microns in size. For those, you need a HEPA filter that goes one extra step, hence, a H13 style filter, which does go down to .1 sized floaty things in your air. The Aeris Aair isn’t a huge machine, measuring around 11 x 19 x 11 inches. It’s round in shape and has a fabric cover, so it blends in with many styles. The covers come in a neutral color as well as blue and pink(ish), and it’s covered in what they call a “zinc-pyrithione” antimicrobial coating that they say helps kills surface level viruses and bacteria. Upon entering the machine, the air then passes through a standard pre-filter to get ride of larger particles like dust and odors, before passing through the H13 HEPA filter. An actual air quality gauge on top of the machine tells you how rank or clean your room air is, and the filtered air exits through the top. The machine produces NO ozone and does not use UV lamps – it does all it does through the covering, and both interior filters. Air flow is controlled via a touch slider on top, or, via an app which gives you much greater control if you prefer such as viewing current and past air quality, timers, and more. The app is not necessary for basic functions or to see the air quality reading. At full go, it can clean a 350 square foot room 4 times per hour or up to a 700 square foot room twice an hour. The filter can last up to 10 months, but of course this will vary depending on how dirty your air is and how much you keep it on higher settings. Replacement filter sets that include the pre-filter and H13 HEPA run around $99.00. So far so good in terms of air filtering it seems at least – I don’t have any scientific equipment, but I do have a basic air quality monitor in my room and since cranking up the Aeris it hasn’t given me any pollution alerts for the indoor air. But I can only “crank it up” when I’m not in the room as it’s too loud to run past 1 or 2 when I’m in there. That leads to the huge failing in my opinion, of this machine – noise. It’s VERY loud. Settings are from 1 to 5, and when watching TV or sleeping, I cannot take it beyond sleep mode or number 1. Number 2 is just over that edge of being too loud for TV/sleep, and 3 could be for cleaning a room when you’re not in it. Settings 4 and 5? I could literally hear the machine on the other side of my house when on 5. It’s not defective – no grinding noises or creeks or pings – just “air noise”, but a lot of it and LOUD. This knocks two solid stars off of it’s rating for me. What good is an air purifier if it’s too loud to use realistically at higher settings? These retail for just under $500.00 and with the occasional filter replacement, no, they are not inexpensive, but they do seem to filter more air than similar units, and the H13 filter system is a plus, and they’re attractive as well. Having clean air indoors is more important now than ever, and it does require an investment. If you have needs where noise isn’t a factor, you may want to consider it. I’m unfortunately just not sure I can recommend this investment for many others, due to the operational noise of the machine when in use. There are just too many other machines now on the market that can do the same thing at the same price (give or take), more quietly.

Thank you for the review. We built the aair lite to be small and compact, but to be able to move a significant amount of air and clean a good size room and clean the air every 15 minutes. The aair Lite has a maximum air flow of 176 CFM on it's highest speed and that generates 55 decibels, lower fan speeds, less air, less decibels. 50 decibels is considered a quiet conversation or light traffic. However, sound is subjective and even ambient sound will affect the how sound is perceived. In an average bedroom (225 sq ft) the unit running on fan speed 2 will exchange the air 2.3 times, which is probably sufficient in most cases.

Compared to many other system, they may not be moving as much air, so they might be quieter. When comparing systems, it is important to look at decibel levels in relation to air flow. Also, understanding the CFM you need for any given room is also important, no need to run an air purifier on it's highest speed if you don't need to.

Great air purifier. Came in a large box, very well protected. The setup was easy. Just plug in the cable, turn it on and download the Aeris app. Once in the app, it will ask you to press the wifi button on the purifier, which creates its own wifi network, you connect your phone to that network and then the app will connect to it, then you will type your home wifi's credential and the purifier will connect to the internet and then you can control it via the app. The app is great, it gives you the outdoors and indoors air quality index (the outdoor one is via internet, based on your location), the indoor one is via measurements made by the purifier itself. On automode it will adjust the speed accordingly on how your indoor air is. Its quite silent, however if you have very poor quality air it may ramp up to the max, where its very loud. it also has a quiet/night mode, which turns down the fan speed and the lights off, for a pleasant sleep with clean air. The app will also tell you the filters life, so you can know when to order a replacement one on time. I can tell this purifier works, it truly removes any odors, dust and bacteria/viruses via its filter that is embedded with some sort of chemical that kills them (they state many times, its safe, and safer than other purifiers that use PECO filters etc). IE I vape some times indoor and it cleans the air quickly and removes any smells my e cigarrete may give. It has a bluish cover, however you can buy several other colors to your liking from Aeris. I highly recommend this filter, finally clean air indoors!

Key Features Nearly Silent Operation Virus Killing Coating (Including Covid) App Connected for Monitoring (Wi-Fi) Auto Controls FIRST IMPRESSIONS A feature that appears to be unique to Aeris’ products is not only are their units are designed by MIT engineers, but that they are completely sealed units. Being completely sealed means that there are no leaks around or between the filters and 100% of the air that gets pulled through the unit is filtered with no air sneaking past the filters. That is a bold claim and is quite an accomplishment. I know on my other units, regardless of the manufacturer, always have a build-up of dust around the edges of the filters. So, I conclude that this is a low-restriction area, allowing air and dust to pass through without filtering. Aeris claims to have remedied that situation and states their filters capture 99.95% of all contaminants down to 0.1 microns. This includes smoke, dust, pollen, mold, and bacteria and viruses. Furthermore, Aeris coats their filters with Zinc Pyrithione. Though I am not sure what it is, Aeris says that this anti-microbial coating is responsible for killing bacteria and viruses without the need for UV lights or ozone generators. This includes the ability to kill the Coronavirus. AWESOME!!! INITIAL SET-UP Initial set-up involved nothing more than removing a few pieces of shipping tape and plugging the unit in. The Aeris was off and running. The user interface is very sleek and minimalist. There are no exposed buttons or visible screens. The “buttons” are capacitive touch spots on the top of unit and the display lights up through to the top. The machine is very modern and attractive looking. My unit was the sailor blue, which is a bold navy blue. However, if that is not to your liking, Aeris sells Aair Lites in other colors, or you can simply buy replacement sleeves and change them out. A thoughtful change of aesthetics from your average, plastic box appliances. USE The Aair Lite is rated to rooms up to 700 square feet and can change the air twice an hour. The recommended room size is 350 square feet and in a room this size, the Aair Lite can change the air 4 times per hour. After setting up Aair Lite, I placed the unit in Auto mode. Auto mode will automatically adjust fan speed according to ambient air quality. The better the air quality, the slower the speed and vice versa. I am happy to report that on the lowest setting the unit is nearly inaudible. NEGATIVES As much as I like the minimalist aesthetics of the display, it is also a negative. The functions of the unit are displayed as symbols. The display is similar to the old-school dot matrix displays, but it does not scroll text. It only displays a character and a symbol. For example, if the pre-filter is getting dirty, the display shows a “P” with a slash. Or if the HEPA filter needs changing, it displays an “H” with an “X”. I know this is being picky, but a scrolling display would be more intelligible. The Aeris app is a complete mess. I tried using the app with my iPad and my Galaxy smartphone and both had difficulty setting up the unit for the first time. I had to try a combination of each device a total of 7 times to get the unit set up for the first time. Come to find out, the reason for the difficulty was the app fails to take you to the account login / creation page prior setting up the device. Without first creating an account, you cannot perform any set-up on the device, as the app will not recognize your Aeris or your home wi-fi. After trial and error, the app finally got me to the account creation page, and I was able to finish setting up the device. In addition to the issues with initial set-up, the app will randomly log you out and does not prompt you to log back in. So, without warning, you lose all communication with the Aair Lite and the app won't connect. It got me a couple of times and left me scratching my head trying to figure out what was wrong with the unit, only to find out that the app logged out without prompting to log back in. CONCLUSIONS The Aair Lite is a nice change of pace compared to the old, boring designs of most all other air purification systems. The modern design and aesthetics look great and fortunately the Aair Lite is designed to perform as well as it looks. After just one day in a large bedroom, the air quality and overall smell had been improved markedly. My entire family commented on how much cleaner and better the room smelled. Not an easy achievement to impress everyone. If Aeris can, and I have no doubt that they won’t, get the app refined, this would be a 5-star product. But the difficulties getting the app to work consistently drags the overall experience down to a 4-star review.

Thank you for the feedback. We are aware of some of the challenges with the mobile app and we plan to have a new version released in the next few months. The issue with being logged is related to a server issue with our provider. We hope we've got that resolved, but yes, it was frustrating. I've shared your feedback with the development team. Feedback like this is vital!

When it sucks, it sucks. This thing can sound like a jet engine (when it reaches its max), and you will have to turn up the volume on every device you own, but when its on, its doing its job very well. It however, is very quiet when its not working its little heart out and it still leaves the room fresh and clean. Ok so now that I have your attention and you know it works, lets discuss the items that I hope they change in the near future. The app is not conducive to households and its quite annoying. If I'm logged into the app, and my husband tries to control the device, he then has to sign in all over again, as if he setting it up. And when, he has done that and I want to control the device, I then have to sign in all over again, as if I'm setting it up. This does not work for either of us. It's extremely cumbersome and I don't understand why this is even an issue. If either one get onto the app, It will just circle until we physically go and turn on the device by hand, or hit sign in, because the app then sees us as a guest. The device will be on but the app say it's off. Let me take that back, I just turned on the device manually and I have posted a picture to show you that even now the app is blank on other pages. They have had an update since we have been trying this device out and still not corrected. Another app issue, is that the dashboard or app itself is so lack luster. It tells you nothing compared to other air filter apps we use. There's just no data. There are no in app explanations to the little information it may say as it pulls you out of the app onto a dedicated webpage. Why have the app if we are to be routed to your webpage for explanations? The app freezes from time to time (my iOS is up to date). I haven't even been able to set it up on Home app or Google Assistant because its so unstable I didn't even want to waste my time. Especially if I have to wait to return home or stop what I'm doing to manually turn it on anyways. If you're someone who can get anything to work without instructions, don't skip it on this. I plugged it in, because that's easy enough, and there's no setup as everything is where its supposed to be upon opening the box. However I accidentally touched somewhere on the top as I was moving it and it came on. Now to change anything, I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to touch or even how to turn it back off. There are no prominent buttons or markings on the device. You will need to touch a hold the top of panel for 5 seconds for it to light up. Then you will be able to see where the buttons are. If you simply touch the panel nothing will happen, nothing will light up. And unless you have the vision of Superman you won't see the pictures on the panel. It is very simplistic and sooo aesthetically pleasing), which isn't a bad thing. In fact its great for us and our home, but if I was blind and relied on touch you still wouldn't feel the barely raised markings (picture posted). On a more positive note. The pre filter and HEPA filter, lasts quite a while. We burn incense, sage and use essential oils in our home and this thing has been put to work (we did a test to see how well it will eliminate the smell and smoke in the house using sage...check pic with 999, where we were in close proximity with device), but our filter life is still kicking in at 99.77%. Which is a far better cry than another device we own whose filter went down pretty quickly only after a week. This purifier handles this flawlessly, the moment we turn on the diffusers or light incense, it pumps and filters the air like no ones business. I will give it that. On its own without the app this is top notch. Currently, with the app and lack of controls and accessibility it is not ready. I do really like it, It's beautifully made and crafted and does exactly as it says. It's a shame that I have to give it 3 stars at this time. If those things are fixed I would happily change my rating, and highly recommend. It's a great air purifier, but the controls and the app are extremely basic and weak, and needs huge improvements to come into the market at this level. So my recommendation at this time is, if you are looking for an amazing straight to the point air purifier this is it, but if you're looking for one with more control and app friendliness skip it. Well until they work on perfecting the app.

Thank you for the review, and we agree the mobile app needs work. That said, you don’t need the mobile app to use the air purifier. Also, for security purposes, we designed the devices to only be assigned to one account. If you and your husband would like to both control the unit, you will need to login to the account with the same username and password from your individual mobile devices, but that will log the other person out, and they will need to log back in. Sharing one username and password will not require you to reconnect the device each time. This will solve many of your problems. Again, we do realize the app needs improvement and we are working on it. Also, we have not finalized integration with Google Home or Alexa, so you will not be able to do that. We have not stated that we are compatible on the product page, when we are, we will update the product pages..

As for the sound, the decibel level is in relation to the volume of air the unit moves. Are there units that are quieter on their maximum fan speed, sure, but they are not moving/cleaning as much air. Generally speaking, if you compare our unit to others, at the same CFM, our unit actually operates with a lover decibel level. If it’s too loud, then a lower fan speed can always be selected. It’s important to ensure you are getting the appropriate sized air purifier for your space and getting the right number of air changes.

Living in a region of the country that has terrible pollen a few months out of the year an air purifier is invaluable. Besides the pollen, my girlfriend recently got a cat and with it comes the joy of a litter box! Putting this air purifier in the same room with the litter box, we noticed a huge difference in the air quality and smell. This is my first Aeris product and it feels very robust and well made. The unit has touch controls that are activated with a long press. I personally like the fact that the fabric sleeve can easily be replaced with other colors to suit your decor needs. The unit is quiet in the lowest setting, but not the quietest air purifier I’ve heard. The last two fan speeds are the only two some may find “noisy”. But, they’re no worse than having a traditional blade style fan on medium or high. With that said, the unit definitely moves some air when its on those speeds. In terms of the app, I’m not sure why it has such a low rating on the App Store. In my experience using it to set the machine up on my home WiFi and manage the unit, it has worked flawlessly and provides a lot of info. The app allows you to control the fan speed, set schedules, turn the unit on and off and see the air quality indoors and out and more. So don’t believe the reviews for the app, it is excellent and straightforward to use. Overall I’m very happy with the Aeris Cleantec and the peace of mind it gives me with indoor air quality.

This is review of Aeris Lite HEPA Air Purifier, Sailor Blue. At glance it is a simplistic and powerful purifier for the size. First, to start using only takes deciding where to place, plug, and start using. Then connect it to wifi via its device application which is alike other type devices. Operating it, consist of using the touch sensitive surface to turn on, to change mode, levels, connect wifi. The purifier per se, seems to quite powerful due to two filters, HEPA H13 Filter and Pre Filter. I couldn’t directly see its effectiveness as air quality as excellent during the time of review which coincide with other purifier’s indicators have at home. But it is from the specification it worth note that it detect Mold, which usually not capable in the same price range of purifiers. As per its uniqueness can be based on the sensor and materials used, but from everything it represent, the key positive is the bed mode. Compared to other brand I am using, Aeris Lite is the most silent one I have used during the sleeping period. It is almost if not equal to silence and not noticeable of its presence in the room. Interestingly, the bed mode is not the same as Sleep Mode that can be controlled from the touch control. It is available in the App for program setting. On the aspects that feels bit shorts are mostly from the control via application and its experience that drags down the benefit of the hardware: 1. Creating account is required to pair with the purifier and wifi, and use the controls via application. This is quite standard across any type of today’s connected devices. However, to create account it only use mobile application and only with mobile phone text service. Most of cases of setting account for connected devices is available also if not mainly via email or user name, then within account profile or personalization where is available the use of phone number and text notification is optional as it might extra cost on mobile phone service. And furthermore if user doesn’t use text service which might not common, is forced to not to use at all or contact the customer support to help to create the account. Even this second option is hard to rely as the account created by Aeris has password assigned by its customer service, and can’t change it as change password also require same text service. On the other hand, somehow, even if user doesn’t use text service but can receive businesses text, something seems off in between because when the Pin is requested during account creation, doesn’t arrive. Hence there is this big assumption that doesn’t seem to applicable to everybody, and the workaround via customer service represent bit of privacy concern if want to use the application. 2. The Program works perfectly. But it doesn’t have auto on, hence it is assumption that the purifier is 24 hours On. For instance, can’t have it off and have program scheduled to start between specific time period. And this seems bit awkward because from the application can turn on and off which is big plus. 3. On Program, if want to schedule it from a night to next morning, have to create two scheduling. Can’t do lets say 10PM to 7AM of next morning. Have to do 1) 10PM to 12AM 2) 12:00AM to 7AM 4. On Program selection of number for hours, it has horizontal scrolling, this represent bit of get used to as can’t select the intended number immediately. 5. The Bed Mode is only available in the application, and not in the hardware’s control. In general it is a well made purifier based on materials and its design. But the integrated experience if want to use with the application, makes it to come bit short with some concern on privacy side of user information.

I am breathing in some of the cleanest air I've ever experienced in my office as I write this review. This air purifier has been a game changer for my office space. Prior to using this Aeris aiir lite purifier, I was using a smaller purifier from a very well known company. I never really noticed much of a difference in terms of air quality. Since I have asthma, an air purifier is certainly of interest to me but I didn't want to spend too much initially. The same day that I replaced my original air purifier with this Aeris aiir lite purifier, I immediately noticed a difference. The air I am breathing in now feels so "crisp", clean, and odorless. I didnt quite realize how musty the air felt until I started using this one. For one, I know it's pushing a lot more air than my previous purifier (this thing has a powerful motor!) Secondly, it has a much better filtration system. I'm impressed to see that Aeris decided to go with a beefy HEPA 13 filter for its main filter. Compared to a standard HEPA filter, HEPA 13 is supposed to capture 99.9% of pollutants. It also comes with a pre-filter which takes out things like hair, pollen, dust, etc before it even makes it to the main filter. Included is also a fabric sleeve that is coated with "zinc pyrithione" which is supposed to kill trapped bacteria and viruses. This air purifier is also different than most on the market since it has a completely closed system so it doesn't leak any previously trapped pollutants back into the room. The on-screen display is very minimalist and unobtrusive. On the front of the display you have an air quality index reading of the room. If you prefer not to see it, you can put it in "night mode" to turn off the display (it also gets whisper quiet). You can access the settings by simply swiping left or right on the touch panel to increase or decrease the fan speed. Leaving it on the smart "IAQ sensor" has worked perfectly for me as it allows the unit to adjust its fan speed based on the air quality of my office. To check things like your main filter status, pre-filter status, activate child lock, etc., you simply hold any point of the swipe pad for 5 seconds to activate the main menu. My air purifier has typically been displaying very good air quality in my office so its runs on the lower speeds and I can barely hear it. Sometimes it does ramp up to a slightly higher speed if it detects a change in air quality. It's a really soothing white noise to me. I have manually adjusted the fan speed to max and this thing gets loud!! It's impressive how much air this air purifier can push. I downloaded the Aeris app and I was able to control everything a lot easier directly from the app. You can also set a program of when youd like the unit to turn on/off throughout the day. The app also provides more in-depth analytics regarding the history of air quality in the room. One thing I didn't like about using the app is that you have to use your phone number in order to register since Aeris needs to send you a verification code in order to complete registration. In my opinion, this is unnecessary and a little too intrusive. A better system would be to email a verification code to you. I'm not a fan of private companies having my personal phone number on top of already having my email address and address. Providing your phone number should be optional. In terms of design and build quality, this thing is beautiful. It's swiss made, the anti-bacterial/anti-viral sleeve not only looks good but also serves a functional purpose, and it easily blends in with most home decor. It's also built like a tank and has some substantial weight to it. I measured it and it's about 18.75 inches high x 13 inches wide x 13 inches deep. So far I've been extremely impressed and happy with my Aeris aiir lite and would easily recommend it for anyone looking to improve the air quality in small to moderate sized rooms. Especially if you are someone like me who suffers from allergies and asthma.

The Aeris Aair Lite HEPA Air Purifier does its job and does it well. The shape and overall look are unique and it almost looks like a piece of furniture. I reviewed this item, comparing it to another air filter I have in my home. Pros: - Definitely does a good job cleaning the air - Very easy to physically set up - Connects to wifi and an app - Provides data for both inside and outside air quality (*note, see picture re: location) - Very, very responsive to changes in the environment; it automatically senses even the smallest change (e.g. microwaving food) and adjusts itself to clean the air - Overall, relatively quiet performance unless it senses a high level of poor quality air - Dual filters, sealed. Easy to install filters - Easy-to-read display Cons: - It can be extremely loud (like a jet engine!) when it is on high-speeds - The app needs a lot of work; it is usable, but has a lot of clunky, unrefined processes. For example, see picture for setting the bedtime setting - it requires two different programs and the horizontal scrolling is tedious and annoying - It takes a little getting used to the "touch" bar area; the controls are easy to see once awoken, but not intuitive. - Somewhat confusing "flap" without clear instructions as to how to set it or if it will automatically do it. I left it fully open for most of the time I tested. - The external filter (the padded blue surround) is a pro and a con; it's very easy to clean, but also constantly looks like it's been rolled around with cats and dogs (this is a 3 cat, 1 dog household). The con is the look; the pro is the fact that it is picking up all that hair out of the air. The robotic vacuums appreciate the help! Overall, I give this product 4/5 stars. I think Aeris needs to work on the app to make this a 5/5 product. It is, however, an overall recommend from me.

I have own my fair share of air purifiers and I like how this one is just set and forget. It just whirls away in the background after it was setup initially. It's probably smarter than I realize because I literally don't think about it after the first few days. It adjusts itself either based on sensor or air quality rating from the internet. Whatever it does, it has a mind of its own and I don't bother it. There is a good reduction in dust as well the air quality feels better. It weighs substantially and costs more than most similar size HEPA air purifiers. I got mine on a Deal of the Day and am glad I didn't have to pay full price.

I believe I was one of the first to purchase this from Best Buy on 10/3/2020..I had already had the bigger unit for about a year which I purchased directly from their website ...the only 2 things I dont like is I happen to live near the ocean and our windows are open in our bedroom all day and with the daylight we cant read the touch controls on the unit, its totally blank..of course we swipe our finger and sometimes it works and other times it does not..you have to spend to much time swiping it just to turn it on and once its on you cant see it...so we are forced to use our app and about every 3 weeks it drops the unit from the app and we have to reinstall it again..since i have 2 units on the app my bigger one does not drop very often only the lite..so my complaint is the control panel should be able to be viewed even in strong daylight and the touch/swipe on top is not smooth ..the bigger unit is much easier with touch buttons and no swiping... over 25 years we have had other brands but the 2 Aeris units are by far the best we have had and we feel they are the best on the market when you compare all the features and build quality etc but of course you are paying for it.

Purchased several of these units and with the exception of 1 unit they are all working well. Having to removed the exterior cloth skirt for cleaning is a bit of a pain but it works out. The filter lasted for a little over a year.

You can tell this is a quality unit from the weight to the materials this thing is built like a tank. The air is cleaner and this unit can move tons of air which is great. It is a tad loud at higher levels but you can barley hear it at lower levels. The touch pad can be a little wonky but once you get used to it it's easy to use. Puts my BlueAir to shame. But there is something that really baffles me about this unit, why is there no charcoal filter? At $500 every purifier in this price range has an activated charcoal filter, even units much cheaper than this one. Yet for some reason this unit doesn't have one and I don't understand why. As my room is near a bathroom and a kitchen it seems to take a while for the purifier to remove the odors from my room and on top of that my room isn't that big. Also since the unit lacks the charcoal filter it won't filter VOCs, formaldehyde and gasses. The unit is also not EnergyStar so I won't qualify for a rebate in my state. At this price point I think the Coway Airmega 400/400S is the better purifier. As it's only been a week since I’ve had the unit I'll continue to put it through its paces but I can't lie I'm a bit disappointed.

When we designed the aair Lite, we set out to make an extremely efficient in a compact size. The aair Lite uses a H13 HEPA filter which is 99.95% efficient at 0.1 microns versus the 400/400S that is only 99.97% at 0.3 microns. We filter particles one-third the size at almost the same efficiency. We also ensure that the aair Lite is sealed, meaning all the air is forced through the filter, so all air leaving the system is filtered and completely clean. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers build sealed air purifiers. We also do it in about half the size of the Airmega 400/400S.

To address the lack of carbon, we needed to balance the amount of air flow we can achieve with filtration. We passionately believe that a H13 HEPA filter is key, but that is slightly more restrictive with air flow. Balancing the amount of carbon to be effective and the air flow restriction from the carbon to overall performance is tricky. We decided the aair Lite would focus on particulate filtration since most smaller spaces, like a bedroom, may not need VOC filtration. We built all our systems to be backwards compatible, so we may have a filter set that will have carbon that will fit in the aair Lite in the near future.

Tried the Blueair 211 it was ok but was not impressed. Did not eliminate odor and it was unclear if it really was working. We made the decision to try Aeris since Molekule does not publish stats and independent tests show poor performance. This brand and the Aeris Aair Lite provide higher performance and a better design overall. Power is far superior. Senses air quality and adjusts based on the situation. Impressed so far. Recommend Aeris.

Purchased several of these units and with the exception of 1 unit they are all working fine. It is a pain to have to remove the outer cover and wash it periodically but the unit has worked as advertised. Filters lasted little over a year.

    Powerful air purifier

The aair lite is a powerful, but noisy air purifier. It has a simple display, yet offers many of the features that most air purifiers have. Setting the air purifier up is simple, it’s just a matter of attaching the power outlet to the unit and plugging it in the wall. The unit comes with 2 different filters pre installed. On the bottom of the unit, there’s the pre-filter, this is designed to collect hairs, pollen and large particles. The second filter is located at the top of the unit, this is called the main filter or the HEPA H13. This filter is designed to capture micro pollutants such as, mold, mildew and bacteria. The unit is fitted with a fabric cover, which is removable and can be machine washed. The air purifier is powerful, it did a good job at cleaning the air in my bedroom making it so I can breathe at night. It has 5 different power settings; level 2 and below it sounds quiet, anything over 2 and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. There is a night mode setting, this automatically puts the purifier in quiet mode, as well as turns off the lights on the display. The display on the unit is as plain as it gets, pretty much the only thing it shows is a number which means the air quality level. There are manual controls on the unit, but there are no physical buttons, just touch sensitive buttons to manually control the power level and check the status of the filters. I’m not a big fan of how they implemented the touch controls, for one you can barley see the buttons on it and most of them require that you hold the button for a certain period of time. I would have preferred actual buttons, rather than touch sensitive buttons. The unit does have built in WiFi that lets you connect to your network; this is so it can be controlled with the Aaris app. The app isn’t anything special and could use some major design upgrades. I tried to connect it using my iPhone 12 max pro, but after several tries, it would never connect to the unit. I then tried it on my iPad pro and for some reason, that worked on the first try. The app is plain, with very limited information. The only thing I found that you can do with the app, that you can’t do on the main unit is set a program. Other than that, it also gives you a graph of the air quality on a daily, weekly or monthly view and even the graph looks basic. Overall, I like performance of the Aaris Lite, it does a fantastic job at cleaning the air. There are a few things I wish the company would’ve done different, such as making physical buttons, or even making the buttons bigger so you can see them better – but once you get it running that isn’t that big of an issue. The app that is used as a companion is lacking in a lot of things, mostly any sort of detailed information and the look is so basic. The unit does get really loud if you turn it higher than level 2, so it’s better to just set it to auto (which never seems to go that high for some reason). I will say that I like how the company made it as basic as possible to put the focus on the unit itself, by doing this it becomes a lot simpler to operate.

Great air cleaner, simple, a little bulky, but easy to put in a corner for day/night use or on top of a footstool if you've accidentally burned something and want to clear out the scent fast. I actually like the fabric sleeve that acts as a large particulate filter, easy to use a lint roller or pet hair remover and clean, allows for longer filter life. Overall, our family likes this unit a lot and we will get more. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for and this works well. Only downside - the little flap at the top is super intriguing for my German Shepherds...always trying to put a nose/snout inside to check it out, lol. We bought this when it went on sale for $50 off and feel the price is okay for what we received. As noted, it helps with the dust/pollen/doggy stuff and works on scents too. I only wish it had a UV light.

We have 3 kids, 2 dogs, a cat and a bird for pets. We bought this unit to help filter out some of the dust and smells. I am very impressed. My son thinks it’s funny to pass gas next to it and watch it crank up the filtering power. Our house has never smelled so good. I gave 4 stars due to it being louder than what I expected.

Thank you for the nice review. On our highest fan speed, we move 390 CFM and that is a considerable amount of air. The more air you move the louder any air purifier is going to be. We've compared our db level with other systems CFM rates and have actually found we are we give more air flow at a lower db level than our competitors. That said, if you want help with selecting the appropriate fan speed for the size of the room, feel free to contact our customer support. With the dimensions and ceiling height, we can calculate the fan for the right number of air changes per hour (ACH).

Just got this. The set up was easy. The app is awesome and allows for easy control. I had it on smart mode when I started cooking. Made a lot of smoke and this air purifier kicked up to full speed as it detected the smoke. Please don't like the price steer you away. This is well worth it!
