Customers regard the Aair Lite HEPA Air Purifier highly for its ability to improve air quality and its long-lasting filter. The ease of setup and aesthetically pleasing design are also frequently praised. However, some users find the purifier noisy at higher settings and experience connectivity issues with the accompanying app.

So far very happy with my choice. Very Quiet in night mode. Filters the air in master bedroom. Aeris customer service is fantastic. I emailed Carol with questions before ordering this unit and she emailed me back every time. I like only clean filtered air leaves unit. All dirt dust and Viruses are trapped inside filters.

The SUMMARY:
The Aeris Lite HEPA Air Purifier is the best performer I have used. In automatic mode it is outstanding and quiet. If you want to fine tune it with the numerous capacitance controls or App, prepare to spend time with the manual.
The GREAT:
The Aeris Lite HEPA Air Purifier succeeds exceedingly well at purifying your home air. If that is your only concern, do not hesitate to get one. Seriously. Get one. We have two cats, and I have placed this in the family room next to the kitchen door, so yes, the area can get odiferous with a je ne sais quoi hint of cat hair in the air. Hands down, the Aeris Lite is the best purifier I have owned in performing its function. Within hours the change in air quality was noticeable, and I found my sinuses were most appreciative after a couple of days. I just breathe easier with it on the job.
The EASY:
My pro-tip is read the manual once. Focus on the section that says, tap the easy to identify once you know what it is ‘O’ button and let it go on automatic and do its thing, sensing the air quality, adjusting fan speed accordingly, hands and app free. Just ignore it. It really works great for me like that. Maybe there is a slight fire on the kitchen stove, the Aeris Lite ramps up and clears the air before it bothers me on the couch. Or maybe I should have changed the kitty litter box yesterday, no worries, Aeris is on the job and I am not getting a dirty look from my spouse! Automatically. I don’t bother it. It doesn’t bother me. I breathe easier. And I really, really value that.
The UGLY:
It’s clearly a product designed by engineers that love multiple settings, apps, and reading manuals. There are zero compromises made on performance. All else is secondary (hence why it really does work well). It is big, think sofa end table. In fact, when I first unboxed it, I thought if I just put a round glass top on it… but nope. Air vent on top with a flap that gives the whole thing a modern trashcan sense of styling. Mind you the outer sleeve is cloth and easily replaced with different colors which sounds like a good idea, but in practice I find it keeps edging up and I have to pull it down like adjusting a skirt. I think that’s my cats using it to scratch their backs so may not affect everyone. It has numerous controls that you have to first read the manual in order to make sense. Very little is intuitive. And setting galore. It does have a digital readout, but again have to read the manual to figure out what it is communicating. And the app, ah the app, also not very intuitive (pro tip, you have to set up an account first, though that’s not clear in the app). But buried in it is lots of controls, lots of data on air purity. Maybe that’s your thing, following the metrics of air purity on a Friday night. You could put it into a spreadsheet even. But I just count on my nose for metrics. My nose says its great.
The QUIET:
Yes, it is quiet. All that size is for good reason. Bigger filters mean better performance AND moves a lot of air quietly. I never notice it is on. Well except for that time there was a fire on the stove and automatically the fans really ramped up. But it didn’t interrupt my TV watching. You can manually turn it up to full blast, and sure, then it is loud. But that’s a feature to use the App for when the in-laws visit. Sorry, what was that you said? If I was in the bedroom, would I want sleep mode on to go quieter still? Doesn’t seem to keep my wife awake on the couch, so probably not, no. If I stand next to it, I can detect what is a soothing white noise sound a lot like from your air vents when your furnace is on in the winter. But maybe that would bother someone else, so yes, there is a sleep mode. But that is counter-productive to me, night is when I want my sinuses to be dust etc free, so I want it working its best.
The RATING:
I am really encouraged by the performance and what the Aeris team is doing in terms of air quality. I look forward to seeing what they do next and want to encourage them to think about simplifying a few of the controls and the app. In today’s world, if a product can be used without a manual, nirvana has been achieved. On a scale of 1-5, for performance I give the Aeris Lite HEPA Air Purifier a 10. For aesthetics, the app that needs some work, and the inscrutable read out? I give it a 3. I would rate value at 5. So overall score, 4.

Powerful and Silent Air Purification

Despite its small size the Aeris Cleantec - Air Lite is surprisingly powerful. As a family that deals with allergies, we have definitely noticed an improvement in our home air quality. I absolutely love that the unit automatically monitors indoor air quality and adjusts filtration as appropriate, which keeps the unit practically silent while extending the longevity of the HEPA filter and blower unit over the lifetime of the machine.
Pros:
~Powerful filtration
~Relatively silent operation.
~Removes / Kills viruses
~The app simplifies setup and operation.
~Customiziable schedules
~Automatic real-time air quality monitoring
~Filter life monitoring for both the prefilter and HEPA filter
~Astethiticly pleasing design - easily incorporate into any decor.
Cons:
~The Control panel takes some getting used to. A little too minimalistic in my opinion
~Air quality analytics displayed in the app is set to the incorrect timezone making it difficult to interpret the data.
~Can be quite loud when operated manually.

As others have said; this thing gets loud. Is it loud all the time? No. But, when it is, it is noisy. Deal breaker? No. But, something to be aware of.
Reading through the packaging and upon initial setup I was thinking, "ok, this is really nice. Subtle design, easy on the eyes, looks beautiful wherever you put it. And it cleans the air this well? Win-win for everyone!" But soon as it detected the air quality slipping (we were cooking in the area I had it set up, something to be aware of with these as cooking drastically changes your air quality) and went out of the lower fan speeds, I totally see why some other reviewers docked the rating and are pointing out the overall loudness of it at times. After a few nights of this happening (freaking out after we started cooking) I moved the Aeris to another area of the home closer to a living space and it remained in a much more constant state of operation day in and day out. So, keep the placement of the Aeris in mind in this regard.
Now, with that out of the way...
It's still an easy recommendation considering the noise (again, only at times when it's really firing on all cylinders). It noticeably cleans the air and doesn't require being hidden behind something or out of direct eye lines as it really is beautiful to look at, almost doubling as an art piece. Ok, welly maybe not *that* pretty, but you get my point :)
There is a spec page and many other reviews have pointed out the specifics of this filter and that setting, blah blah blah blah. All I have to add is that it works and looks good doing so. Just be aware of the noise if that is of *any* concern to you. I still use ours daily as it really doesn't bother me 99% of the time.

Thank you for the review. I think you are missing something, when you are cooking, your air quality is getting negatively impacted in such a manner that the air purifier has to turn up to full speed to try and correct it. You are breathing DIRTY AIR, but yet you move the air purifier to another room so it doesn't clean the dirty air? Just because you are cooking food doesn't mean the dirty air is safe to breathe, why wouldn't you want the air purifier to clean it? However, one option is to set the unit on a manual fan speed so the "Smart Mode" doesn't increase the fan speed when it detects really poor air quality.
Yes, the unit has a maximum air flow of 176 CFM on it's highest speed and that generates 55 decibels, lower fan speeds, less air, less decibels. Compared to many other system, they may not be moving that much air, so they might be quieter. When comparing systems, it is important to look at decibel levels in relation to air flow.

Wow! That really says it all...but, I think some of you would still like details, right?! Okay....
We are a household in dire need of air purifiers and when I tell you this amazing purifier packs a punch, there’s really no where else to look.
The nighttime quiet mode is just that, quiet, the low modes are also peacefully purifying the air and I’m not kidding you when I say, I’m probably saving money on my electric Bill because I don’t need to turn the AC on as much, in the room this powerhouse is being used in.
Currently painting a few rooms and this is helping to clear out any paint odors and VOC.
It’s very easy to use right out of the box, just plug it in. It has an antimicrobial sweater/sleeve over the unit to help filter additionally before the air gets filtered by 2 different filters inside the machine.
The first filter filters out impurities that can shorten the life of the machine, the second filter (a charcoal based filter) really goes to work on cleaning house. So in essence it’s like having 3 cleaners all at once.
The unit can be twisted and then lifted to reach the charcoal filter on the bottom. The top filter can be reached by lifting the white top portion, allowing for access to the white filter. The top snaps right into place and has a swivel top to allow for directional flow of purified air, even extending as much as a 90 degree angle allowing for air flow to shoot straight up to the ceiling of that’s what you want.
The touch buttons are super sensitive and if you have a small child or anyone nearby who may be inclined to touch it without permission, there’s a lock on the touchscreen to hold the settings.
There’s a smart mode that automatically adjusts to the level of power your room needs based on the air quality, but if you want to pack an extra punch then you can easily adjust with just a swipe to the left or right. The sleep mode has a moon shaped light that will shut any lights off and put into a quiet mode to allow for overnight use.
The unit isn’t that heavy and I can easily pick it up and carry up and down stairs without much effort, but my goal is to have one for each room in the house.
Overall, this product is winner!!!

As my job has been converted to a permanent work from home position, the need to have an air purifier became more of a necessity.
Setting up the air purifier was one of the easiest setups for a device I’ve ever owned. Plug the power cord to the air purifier and it was ready to go. Adding the purifier to my Wi-Fi and downloading the app were additional steps that weren’t required for the purifier to work, but it’s great to have these features. The app is basic and simple to use and setup programs to run.
The purifier has five speeds you can adjust the purifier to run it, or you can set it to smart mode so the purifier will adjust on its own based on the air quality. In my office, the purifier auto setting is always on 1, and will on occasion go up to 2 for about 2-3 minutes every morning. Then, it returns back to 1. I turned the purifier to setting 3, 4 and 5 just to see what it does and how it sounds. Settings 3, 4, and 5 are all loud. I can see if you’re cooking or smoking and it could adjust to the higher settings.
If there’s a gripe, it’s a small one. I didn’t smell anything coming from the air purifier when I first started running it. My wife however, said there was some type of smell coming from the air purifier. She said my office smelled like a sterile hospital for the first 24 hours. I actually saw that as a compliment. My wife didn’t smell it anymore after 48 hours of use, so we assume it had to be from some type of coating in the purifier.
I was initially concerned about how often the filters would need to be replaced and the price for new filters. Based on what I could find online, the filters would have to be replaced every 9-10 months and the cost is around $100.00. This could be a turn-off for some people, but I believe the price is reasonable for a product that only needs to be replaced almost once a year.
Overall, the air purifier is built well and sturdy and I’m happy to have it in my home office.

Great idea for a self monitoring air purifier

I like the big size of this air purifier, it should be able to turn the air over in a bedroom at a more quiet fan setting than smaller units. The thing that sets this air purifier apart from most is that it also has a built in air quality monitor sensor. While it gives you no information other than a number(even in the app), and no particulars on any one hazard, it does up the fan speed in the auto mode the worse it thinks the quality of the air is getting around the unit.
This allows the unit to be a great set and forget type of system, as long its in auto mode (0) or swipe to the far right on the touch controls. In auto mode, the fan speed will adjust based on the air quality readings, and the display will update accordingly.
Swiping to the far left activates quiet/night mode (moon icon) which lowers the fan setting and turns off the lights.
So for most people, the app is not really necessary. Swipe left at night before bed, and swipe right in the morning, and just leave it for the day. Really simple, easy to change and does a great job adjusting to air quality changes all on its own.
This has a HEPA filter and did a good job with particulate filtering when testing in a sometimes dusty mud room when the door was opened and closed, the fan kicking up higher as dust was in the air around the unit and quieting down as the dust settled.
I have mixed feelings with the app. The app offers a few things useful, like seeing trends over time, can adjust the viewing window for different time frames. But, the scheduling and "programs" seems pretty underwhelming and should be improved. The scheduling requires you to make a seperate schedule around the end of the day and the beginning of the next, you can't schedule a sleep program from 10 pm to 5:30 am the next morning. You have to have two seperate programs, for 10pm to midnight, then another from midnight to 5:30 am. Seems like a program oversight, should just be tied to the day and time the program wants to start on and go from there, just giving a warning if you try to program two things for the same time period. Would be a lot more user friendly. Also, biggest issue is that the SLEEP program setting in the App is different from the auto Night mode available via the purifier controls. The biggest issue with this is that the SLEEP program leaves the lights on and bright on the purifier, which most users wouldn't want for sleeping near the thing.
If the software/app gets improved and fixes the scheduling and the lights being on during SLEEP app program, I would consider moving this to a 5 star review instead of 4 stars.
Despite that, I think this is a great unit and can teach anyone how to easily switch it to the two auto modes from the control panel, and that should cover the use cases for the vast majority of people who really need a HEPA filter to help with air quality the most.

Thank you for the review, yes, we are actively working on the app. The way we designed how to set programs would actually allow for much more flexibility, but we do listen to our customer and we are working to make it easier. What looked good on paper turned out not to be so great in real world applications. With regards to the number for the air quality. That number is based on the standardized US AQI index. In the documents shipped with the air purifier, there was a chart of the US AQI. On the App, the colors change in relation to the number.

Aeris Cleantec - Aair Lite HEPA Air Purifier
This is a Swiss made HEPA filter with Smart Sensor and a two stage air cleaning system . It uses a prefilter with a fabric sleeve that is treated with antimicrobial coating (I have no means to test the effectiveness of this on microbes) that picks up large pollutants and dust it add zeolite for odor trapping and this is pretty effective. The HEPA filter is an H13 medical grade filter and can trap particles down to 0.3 microns. The filter according to documentation should be replaced every 6 months and is reasonably priced. This model is rated for up to a 350 Square foot room. It uses a bottom-to-top air flow system concept, with a simple 360° air intake.
In most instances, the filter is quiet on the lower speeds and acceptable on high speeds. The smartphone app is functional and tracks air quality and performance as well as outside published air quality. The unit adjusts the fan power based on the air quality and will ramp up when needed. I found it to be very good at doing its job. If say I am cooking the unit will ramp up to clean any particulates or smell – even the smell of cooking fish. The unit will also display the function in plain numbers. It has a pleasant appearance and the quality of the unit is very much aligned with what one thinks of “Swiss made”!

Thank you for the great review! We typically don't feel the need to respond to positive reviews, but we wanted to make sure some information was addressed. Unfortunately, the aair Lite doesn't have zeolite in the filter, but because it's so efficient, it does help with odor, but again, doesn't actually have any filtration media to remove odors. Also, the aair Lite is traps particles much smaller than 0.3 microns. Our most penetrating particle size is 0.1 microns and that is at a 99.95% efficiency. The final note, on average, our filter will last 10 months. That is a significantly longer than 6 months, so our reasonably priced filter is even a better value. Again, Thank you for the nice review.

The Aeris Cleantec air purifier claims that it can clean air as well as detect air borne viruses and bacteria. That's the only component I can't really tell is functioning...
The build quality is pretty good. The touch interface is responsive. You can easily change the settings without downloading the app.
The set up is simple. You plug the provided power plug to the base of the machine, and it starts working.
There is the sleep mode which reduces the noise level. There's a wifi button that allows you to sync with the phone app. One nice feature is the child lock. This prevents any accidental press that would change the setting.
Overall the purifier is surprisingly quiet. During my first test, it set itself at 5. I could still watch some tv with it on.
The indicator let's you know when it's time to change out one or both filters. Changing the filter is done by twisting off the exterior.
Everything about purifier is very straightforward and easy. It is fairly expensive, but if you want the air quality of your house to improve, I see it as a good investment. Keep in mind that you still need to buy replacement filters. If I had to change one thing, it's that I wish the touch sensitive buttons had haptic feedback.
