It does what it is meant to do and I. 3 days I had half of the he pods sprouting plus I used additional small trays under the light to sprout other plants not in pods. So the LEDs seem to be pretty effective even beyond the 6 pods. The only gripe is the herb selection isn't 100% for me. The basil and thyme will get used very often as well as the mint. But I really would have liked rosemary over dill or parsley. The dill I can find a use for but the parsley is just filling the empty hole as far as I'm concerned. So unit by itself is 5 stars, but because aerogarden threw in filler pods they lost a star.

First venture into home gardening. Picked it up on sale and it was easy to set up and watch the plants grow. Pretty fool proof design

So far, I'm liking it. Some of the herbs have begun to sprout. Keep in mind, the recommended light time on some of the items you are growing is pretty long. The herbs light time is about 17 hours, so it might still be on when you go to bed. I'm thinking about relocating mine to another part of the house. Right now, it's near my bedroom, but the light is extremely bright and keeps me from sleeping at night. You can manually shut off light, but I don't want to cut it off earlier than recommended.

I like the idea of having plants inside my house, but I forget to water them, with this you just set it up and let it do it’s thing, add water every so often. I have it about 1 week now and I can see my herbs are growing I put it in a corner table in my family room away from the bedrooms cause the light is really really bright and stays on for 17 hours a day. I love it and can’t wait to try some veggies next.

The setup was a breeze! You basically unpack, add water and fertilizer, insert the soil/seed thingies, plug it in and click through the setup on the easy to read LCD display. Now, we wait for the seeds to sprout…. It does seem like a pretty expensive way to grow some herbs during the winter months though.

I have only had this on my counter for a couple of days, but the experience thus far has been easy, fun, and exciting. The set up went smooth with the prompts on the screen, and any questions I thought I had were quickly eliminated with the instruction booklet involved. I hope that the plants thrive and match the experience thus far. Keep an eye out for updates!

I really enjoy this frivolous gift for myself. I have enjoyed watching my babies grow to be useful culinary herbs. Every pod grew. The device is a bit bright and needs to be on for 17 hours for the herbs but I do have the freedom to turn off. The reminder lets me know when water is low or if fertilizer is needed. It is a little expensive but it's only money!

My wife LOVES the Aerogarden. The seeds germinated in no time and the plants grow so fast that we can add fresh herbs to our meals every day. This is a great option for gardeners who live in cold climates but don't want to miss out on fresh greens and herbs during the winter.

Great for always having an assortment of your favorite fresh basil, chives, sage et on hand at all times. I’ve had one for two years and buy them as gifts as the time (like this one). Most stuff grows very well and fast. Even grew a sunflower in it for fun!

This mini indoor garden is great for people who don't have the time and effort to put into actual gardening. I've only had it for 4 days and it's already sprouting and I have no doubt that'll serve me well through the winter.

Only received my garden a few days ago. It was easy to set up and in anxiously waiting to see my first sprouts. The light is very bright and the whole machine it’s smaller then I imagined but that’s okay.

Conveniently allows a person to set up up to six plants in the device and require only minimal attention (plant food every two weeks, occasionally refill water, raise light). Disadvantage would be needing to rely mostly on this brand's products to continue use of the device (plant pods and plant food). Some of their plants pods will come moldy and not grow a plant. Contacting the company didn't receive a response of any kind. Rating on device itself would be 4/5, but lowered to 2/5 due to the company not responding to customer service requests. Similarly, cannot recommend the product since there is a high risk of getting bad pods with no way to get them replaced.

We have only had this in our kitchen for about a week so it is a little too early to tell how my veggies will turn out but it looks great and does not take up much room in your counter tops. Stainless steel goes well with almost all other appliances.

I usually just buy herbs from the supermarket and always wanna grow my own herbs but got intimitated by all the set up, soil, etc. This is super easy, just water, plant food and let it grow. Definitely recommend if you wanna grow something.

I bought this product on a great discount. I got to say that the build quality is great and the overall product is easy to use. Almost two weeks in, when writing this review, and I love how simple and fun this product is.
