Before I got these AfterShokz - OpenMove Open-Ear Lifestyle Headphones, I'd never even heard of bone conduction headphones. Even now, I don't know what makes them work. What I DO know, is that they work very well! They are small and lightweight and are so extremely comfortable because they don't actually go inside my ears, as my past earbud style headphones have. These go around the back of my neck and rest just in front of my ears just under my temples. I've actually forgotten I've had them on after I've stopped listening to music!! They were simple to pair with my iPhone following the directions in the User Guide. There is also lots of other helpful info in that guide - like how to skip ahead/back, how to answer a call/hang up (YES, you are able take calls on these), power on/off and a lot more useful information. You can also connect to your assistant. Be sure to check out that guide! I went to my playlist and played some tunes and I was quite impressed. The sound is clear and strong. They sound fantastic. I'm not an audiophile and I would think these are not intended for audiophiles because one of their main features is that they allow outside sounds to be heard. This is a great safety feature for me because while walking and riding my bike I need to hear the sounds around me to be safe. I believe it's actually illegal in my city to ride a bicycle with buds in both ears. With my others, I would have to pop one out of my ears, then of course soon after, they would fall out of the other ear. They supply a pair of earplugs and a small case for 2 of them so you can keep the outside noise out on planes, trains, etc. When used, you would need to buy more - they are very inexpensive. These come with a USB C to USB A charging cable. The fact that they have USB C is an added bonus as I have plenty of those cables around. They also come with the 2 earplugs, that extremely useful user guide and a pouch to store them in - I always love that. These are great headphones - so comfy, lightweight yet sturdy, can play for 6 hours with one 2 hour charge and they sound fantastic! I would highly recommend these

I was really excited to get a chance to test out the AfterShokz open-ear bone conduction technology so when I saw these available I grabbed them quickly. I was like a kid on Christmas waiting for these to arrive. They arrived fully charged & ready to go. Setup was very easy. Put the headphones in pairing mode, go to the Bluetooth settings on my phone, confirm the pairing and I was ready to go. I have listened to some podcasts, music, and audiobooks with these headphones. All of my experience has been crystal clear audio that sounds very crisp. The AfterShokz headphones include a nice carrying bag as well as some earplugs which was pretty cool. The instructions were nicely detailed and explained the different functions of the buttons on the headphones themselves. I like how these headphones fit. I still have my AirPods that I've been using for a couple of years now but I think these may be taking their place. I've had the AfterShokz on all day and can't seem to take them off. They feel that comfortable. Should you buy these? Do you already have a nice pair of Bluetooth headphones/earbuds? If so, maybe not, but even with me having the AirPods and being married to those for a while now I can see myself using these AfterShokz just as much if not more so. They truly are great. So I would recommend getting these as well if you're wanting to replace some other earbuds/headphones or if you're just getting your first pair of Bluetooth headphones/earbuds. They are competivively priced and really nice for the price point. You can't go wrong with the AfterShokz OpenMove Headphones!

These are the best headphones I've every tried! I've always had trouble with earbuds or any kind of headset where the earpieces sit in the ear; they just fall out regardless of what I try. These don't even sit in or even on the ear canal. They just rest in front of the ear so that isn't an issue with these at all. They are super light weight and comfortable and stay in place while doing just about anything. They were very easy to pair to my phone. The sound quality is excellent while allowing the wearer to hear surrounding noise for safety. They couldn't be easier to use with only three buttons--the power/volume up button, volume down, and the multi-function button which allows you to go back and forth between songs and calls with a simple click or two. A single charge lasts for hours, and finally, they are flexible and compact, fitting into a little pouch for easy transport. I can't think of anything I would change about this awesome little headset!

While I can appreciate what this AfterShokz OpenMove Wireless Bone Conduction Headphone has to offer, it’s just not going to be a good fit for me. Pros - Was easy to pair. Super lightweight. Responsive controls. Call are clear, no lag. Great sound quality - full, rich audio, with adequate bass range. Good for people who find ‘in your ear’ earbuds uncomfortable. Cons - Pricey. Not as comfy as I’d like for wearing with glasses. Feels as though headset will fall off at any moment. When wearing properly, there is a huge gap between the back of my head and the band on the headset. Having to use the included ‘ear plugs’ with the headphones, just seems cheesy. Final thoughts - I would recommend, but only for those wanting to try something a bit different, who may not want or be able to wear ‘in ear’ audio devices.

Working out with headphones usually ends with headphones falling off your head or just becoming uncomfortable with the sweat buildup. The AfterShokz headphones take away those issues with traditional headphones. These use a bone conduction style that are around your neck and ears. During the workouts the sound was rather loud and clear but stayed in place without moving alot. They were actually pretty comfortable for their placement. After my second workout they just faded away as I was able to get into the routine and didnt notice them on my ears or neck. If you are looking for a pair of headphones that are unique and sound great that dont interfere with your everyday life, check these out!

I was very skeptical of how well these would sound, and they surprised the heck out of me! What's in the box? 1. Headphones 2. Carry Case 3. USB-A to C charge cable 4. Ear plugs Unboxing and pairing was pretty straightforward and easy to do. I didn't find where any app was required so they were ready to go. Controls are easy, with a volume up/down and an answer button on one ear - all were easy to find and push which is nice! The volume up/down can be pushed and held to change sound profiles (voice, ear plugs and normal mode). I tried the ear plugs and that mode and it definitely is one way to listen and block out external noise but I also found that how they sound is a little different where some of the highs are not as crisp but they weren't bad. So, that brings us to how they sound which is the big question! In all, I was very impressed with how they sound. Overall very balanced and good but do keep in mind it's somewhat different from your typical ear buds or over the ear headphones because you can truly still hear everything around.. almost as if you had a radio on in the room that no one else could hear. Amazing, right?! I thought so. For the outdoors, bike rides and even just doing normal everyday things I'll be ditching my Airpods for these - they sound great, and I can still hear everything around still! I don't know after trying these out that I can say I'd go out in public or exercise with a pair of normal headphones. The only negative thing I can even say about these is the bass isn't quite the same as a normal pair of headphones but I'm sure if it were the same it'd vibrate really bad so it's definitely a fair tradeoff as there's still some bass just not the really low low bass. So people ask about the vibration.. there is some mostly at high volumes and almost none at normal volumes and what was there I'm now used to and hardly notice. Overall, I'm very impressed with these in so many ways! Anyone who wants a pair for working out, using outdoors or in public.. wow.. yeah this is the BEST way to go hands down. If you're an audiophile, they may come up short but remember there are some tradeoffs with this technology.. I think they sound great for normal everyday use.. but if you're looking for that true sound.. earbuds or over the ear headphones are a better way to go. The trade offs are worth it and they sound good overall so I'd recommend them totally!
