First of all, if you are expecting high fidelity headphones that compare to comparably priced headphones on the market, buy something else. These headphones are not designed for great quality sound. These headphones are more utility in nature. They are specifically designed for listening to audio content or talking on the phone in an environment where drowning out the world around you is impractical, If I am on an airplane or listening to audio by myself, I want to drown out the world and focus on high-quality sound. But, when I often work in an environment where people need to get my attention or where I need to be aware of what's going on around me. That is where these headphones really shine. Audio quality is acceptable, but they are probably comparable to $10-20 headphones when it comes to sound quality. If you need a headset for running, walking, or biking in an urban environment, I would definitely recommend them simply for self-preservation.

I've never really liked standard ear buds for extended listening and over the ear are not very practical while on the go for voice communication and music/media listening. The audio quality these Trekz deliver while helping to maintain situational awareness is unmatched. They aren't great at noise canceling when you're taking to others using them as a BT headset in a noisy environment but they are inherently open ear so also not ideal for listening in that setting anyway. They do include a set of foam ear plugs and have a secondary EQ setting to change the frequencies for closed ear listening. The way they transmit sound using small bone conducting transducers is pretty amazing for the method they use. The sound quality is a very good for the form factor.

I got these headphones because my AirPods wouldn't stay secure when I was running, I hated getting my Bose QC35s sweaty, and I really hated not being able to hear my surroundings when I run near a road. After doing some research, I settled on these and they are amazing for running. They fit securely without pushing too hard, the controls are easy to access, and they charge quickly. I wore them for an entire day listening to music while I ran errands, and they worked flawlessly. I tried to wear them to bed, and as a back-sleeper, they just don't work for that. Additionally, my iPhone always says that the headphones are always 100% charged, which is obviously not true - I wish there was a way to know the remaining charge. Overall, I recommend these for the reasons I stated above.

Now that I've finally purchased this, I can't see how bone conducting headphone's isn't a lot more popular? Now I can listen to music while making conversation with other's at the same time, without having to take me headphone's off! I haven't had the chance to use these while riding my bike but these headphone's are really convenient. I've made and received phone calls while wearing these and I could easily hear the other person talking and they heard me without a problem! However you can't have them turned all the way up when listening to music and expect to hear everything around you. One con I can point out is that they're not designed to be used while laying down. Although I've found that wearing them over my face fixes that problem. After all they are designed for people on the go and not leisurely activities. Anyway, took me about an hour to get use to a different way of listening to music but after that I fell in love with them!

These headphones are not designed to replace Beats or Airpods. These headphones are designed to allow the wearer to hear his/her surroundings while listening to audio content. They are plenty loud for listening to music on the average crowded street or gym, but they are pretty useless on an airplane or loud crowd. I use these as my primary headphones because I usually only wear headphones when I am at the gym. I took them to Washington DC on a business trip and they were fantastic for listening to my Google Map directions while walking the city. I would talk to people and respond to traffic without adjusting the volume of my music. One thing customers should know is that these aren't silent. You can hear audio when the headphones are less than a foot in proximity from your ears. I haven't had any problems with them and I have had them for approximately four months.

I purchased these headphones for outdoor running so I would be able to hear what's going on around me during my runs, whether that be cars/traffic, bicyclers passing me, or just conversing with my running buddies. They function as expected. The sound quality is decent (I do not use the earplugs with the headset) and works well for what I purchased them for. They stay put quite well during my runs. They are fairly sturdy and durable, and also water resistant. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase and the quality of this product so far (I have been using them for 2 months). They charge relatively quickly and the battery lasts several hours. If you are looking for the best sound quality, these are not the right headphones for you. However, if you are looking for some background music while you go about your business or activity while being able to hear what is going on around you and/or carry on a conversation, then these are perfect.

Apparently I have ridiculously small ear canals and there are no earbuds that ever fit. These bone conduction headphones have opened up the whole world of earbuds to me! Additionally, I work with Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing kids and many of the hard-of-hearing kids with bilateral hearing aids LOVED these! They can use them while wearing their hearing aids. The sound is great. The ability to hear the world around me is great, too. The battery lasts long in my opinion. I am using them on day three of not charging them, but using them several hours per day. I agree that the back strap should be adjustable, but it worked fine for both me and my little students. It stays in place. If the headphones are placed properly, the outside world doesn't hear much, if anything. Sometimes, though, if someone is standing close, they can hear a bit if the volume is all the way up and the headphones are placed just a little bit off. They look cool, sound great and I love them!

I've been an Aftershokz customer for the past 3 years and will never go back to conventional headphones. My very first pair of Aftershokz broke this past weekend and I was heartbroken. I've worn them every single day for the past 3 years and it felt like losing a friend. The sound quality is amazing, and the built in mic works like a charm. I love the hands-free wireless bluetooth technology - I bought a pair of wired earbud headphones over the weekend when mine broke and threw them away literally 5 minutes later. I couldn't stand all those cords and having to take my phone with me ... I love the freedom to be able to move around without the confinement of cords. I went into Best Buy to look for a home security system and saw the new sleeker looking Aftershokz for only $99. I snatched them off the shelves and gleefully danced to the register to pay for them. They were on my ears before I left the parking lot. I absolutely love them.

1st point, these use bone conduction instead of audio like traditional headphones. Sound quality is different, but different doesn't mean poor. Sound quality is good, but lacks the high quality of good headphones. However, these are great for podcasts and music. Simply understand your audio experience will be good enough for almost all your needs. They probably sound better than your crappy apple buds or those other buds you have. Unlike buds they will not drown out outside noise and are not good for loud environments unless you're wearing earplugs. I can wear them on a plane, but the engine noise will drown them out with me wearing earplugs. Being able to hear one's surroundings is a clear advantage in many situations.

I spend hours outside, and I have destroyed many many sets of "sports" "water resistant" head phones. Some I have had go bad in just a few days due to sweat, but not these! I can listen to and hear conversations around me. While they do require you to use a separate set of actual ear plugs if you need noise canceling "which most of time I do" it really isn't as much of a hassle as you might think. They come with a set of ear plugs and you can purchase others at different decibel levels that suit your needs. I will never buy anything else again. I have worn these while running a table saw and can still listen to the music, the lawn mower and weed eater will not drown it out the volume. I have no complaints, nor have I had any from others concerning call quality, the controls are easy to get used to. You can wear them all day without those sore spots that ear tips give you. Wearing your glasses or safety glasses do not get in the way either.

These headphones are best used for listening to podcasts or taking phone calls. What I love about them is that it leaves your ears completely open. You can be more aware of your surroundings and if your using them to talk on the phone you don't feel like you need to yell to hear yourself. What they are not good at is music. All bass is lost unless you plug your ears which then defeats the purpose of the headphones. It's does come with a pair of earplugs for when you are in a safe area like "on a train" which I think is funny. Battery life lasts about 6 hours maybe a little more. I have glasses and they work fine with them on, but if they aren't sitting right it can be a little uncomfortable. I did a 5 mile run with them and had no issues. Obviously when being active you are going to hear things like wind so you'll need to have the volume up louder to still hear. They are also not quiet to others around you, it sounds like you took off your headphones and left the music playing.

I had a friend who introduced me to these headphones. They are a wrap around style and not individual headphones. They fit well around my head. Pairing the headphone to my iPhone X was very simple and quick. Excited to try out the headphones I was a bit disappointed. They didn’t sound as good I was hoping. Very limited bass and very flat highs. It does work great for podcasts and listening to my audio books. I also like the fact that I can hear all ambient sounds as well while listening to books or music which is a definite plus. All in all I would recommend these headphones for those who need to hear their environment while liking to listen to music. Also they are great for podcasts and audiobooks. If you like tight bass and and good quality headphones try the Bose or Sony headphones.

I bought a pair of these a few years ago and absolutely loved them. I accidentally left them in my seat and after either being sat on or having something placed on them, they broke at one of the ears. I invested in a protective case (had to buy separately on Amazon), and got a new pair from Best Buy. The new ones seem even flimsier than my first (I'm sure they'll say they're "lighter"), and they seem to run smaller than they use to. No, I didn't get the smaller, lighter version (I think they're called Airs?). Either way, I feel like I'm constantly having to adjust them. Probably fit smaller heads better. I did spare them a star because the sound quality is great and bone conduction is safer for the ears while letting me remain aware of my surroundings.

I was caught between getting the Trekz Titanium and the Apple AirPods. I’ve always been concerned about long term effects to my hearing from using in-ear headphones so I did extensive research on bone conducting headphones before buying these. All the reviews rated these highly so I figured I’d try them out and return them if I didn’t like them. I received them on 1/28/19 and I have used them every day since. The sound quality is as good if not better than regular headphones. I use them while I’m at work and it’s honestly improved my quality of life and work. I feel more productive and can also be attentive to my surroundings. If you want more bass you can just use the equalizer and it works great. I’m definitely keeping them and I’ve already recommended these to multiple of my friends.

Once I learned about bone conduction I was a big fan of the technology, this would be a great way for me to listen to music at work while also not having to unplug my headphones just to communicate. I purchased these after looking at them for weeks and I was very excited to try them out. I placed them on my head and I was blown away. The sound quality was excellent for something that didnt go over my ears. Then I handed someone else the headphones to try out whike my music was still playing....I could still hear it. Its not on my head but I can still hear the music. They're mini speakers. My in ear headphones would be more discreet. Disapppinted. Returning them.

I bought these with the intention of listening to podcasts, assuming the audio quality would be low. However, I've been very pleasantly surprised. The audio quality is far better than I expected. Of course it's not as good as a decent pair of over-ear headphones, or even a pair of good buds, but it's good enough for background music while I work. I wear these all the time now - literally. I love music while I work / read / play but my wife prefers silence. With headphones I always felt disconnected from her but now I can have music and still hear my wife (and kids / workmates). For when I want to focus on and enjoy the music I still have my traditional headphones to shut the world out and bring the music in, but these things are the best for casual listening while still being in the same place as those around you. Oh, and they work really well for the intended podcasts too! WISHLIST: I want these built into my glasses.

Outstanding Tech with some needed adjustments

we LOVE these headphones. Seriously, they were purchased for my boyfriend's father and we spent the next 2 days arguing about who got to try them next. They're great - as someone who is easily startled it allowed me to be focused on my work while hearing what was around me. The sound is CRYSTAL clear and it's honestly a crazy feeling. It's like having a concert in your head. There is one thing I will say needs to be adjusted and one thing to be aware of: 1. I wish these were individual over the ear pieces. The band that goes behind your head is a little cumbersome and not overly comfortable if you go to lean your head back. 2. It takes a lot of getting used to - everyone has their own sweet spot for volume. This is not a manufacturing flaw - just something to be very aware of. You definitely do NOT need this on as loud as it goes.

I got these headphones to use for traveling in the airport. With carrying my bags, food, phone etc it was hard to walk and talk with a phone to my face and still be aware of what's going on around me. These make going hands free convenient and safer than regular sets. The vibrations it gives off feel weird at first but being able to hear more around you is relieving. My family says the quality of my calls is great, while you can still tell that I am on a Bluetooth device they can hear me just fine. It comes with it's own carrying bag that can fit everything you need in it including the manual if you want to keep on hand for light flash meanings and such. I am extremely happy with my purchase and recommend these to anyone who wants to go hands free.

I love these headphones. For my use, it’s perfect. I use it at work and in my job I need to wear earplugs. This headphone allows me to listen to music while still protecting my hearing with earplugs in. I hardly know the headphones are on my head as it’s light and comfortable. The sound quality is not your Bose sound but it will generate a nice sound when earplugs are used. Without earplugs the volume will be limited and maybe hard to hear in certain noisy conditions. The battery life is excellent. The only bad thing is when I use it for phone calls the surrounding noise is a distraction for the other person on the call. The speaker is very sensitive to the ambient noise. I would recommend these for most people that want to try something different. Also recommended for those that want to hear things going on around them and still be able to listen to music in the background.

Good Sound, Reliable Bluetooth, Cool Concept

I have been using bluetooth headsets with my IPhone 7 with various levels of success over the past several months. In addition to being a pretty cool concept (bone conduction leaves your ears open while offering great sound), these headphones have been super easy to use with my phone and have reliable easy bluetooth. The sound is great particularly when you consider that these don't even go in your ears! They fit well and look cool. Plenty of people have commented (some admittedly confused) about the concept but think its very cool once I explain it. I'd recommend these to to anyone who want easy, reliable phones. Pros Great Sound Cool Concept Good conversation piece Good fit Easy bluetooth Cons Outsiders can hear the sound a bit more than on my old headphones Overall very cool. This is a review for the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
