I did a lot of research on bone conducting headphones before purchasing these. My main reason for purchasing this was for a more discreet option to standard headphones. Upon looking at multiple different options, this product did seem to have the best reviews, so I was excited. However, upon getting them, I felt quite deceived. The shape of the headphones is super wonkey. They don't fit comfortably around the ear at all. I dont see how to they would work for exercise purposes as advertised, they did not seemI'm also not convinced these are really bone conducting, rather, just really loud speakers sitting below your ear. Anyone that happens to be around you will be able to clearly hear the music you are playing no matter what volume it is on. Overall, I was super disappointed about these and did end up returning them.

After an initial adjustment period of less than a week while I got used to the slight pressure on my temple and above my ear, I have been wearing these for almost a year now. Literally, every day, listening to audio books, podcasts, music and endless phone calls and online meetings. The performance for all was excellent and clear, with only music being less stellar, but still perfectly enjoyable. The one slight gripe is that if I lean back in my chair and fold my hands behind my neck or head, the microphone goes wonky and the other party reports I become muffled or drop out altogether. It was such a boost to my flexibility being on the myriad calls I handle, and still be present to my surroundings.

    Bone Conduction Technology!

I was very curious about the so called bone conduction technology that I actually purchased the headphones. The sound quality is clear. It's kinda interesting to when I think that the audio is actually inside my head as opposed to in my ear. The fact that I can hear the outside world is good because I can hear my kids as I listen to audio. It gets kinda uncomfortable as I wear it for a long period of time, but then I experience that with a lot of headphones as no headphone is perfect. Overall... 5 stars Pros - Clarity - battery life - easy to pair - lightweight - can still wear with sunglasses - can hear the outside world Cons - it gets uncomfortable after wearing it for 2+ hours - Not good if you want bass. I listen to talks a lot so it doesn't matter to me.

My daughter has bilateral hearing aids. We can use the ear buds but didn’t want to do that as they then wouldn’t pick up surrounding conversations. We got these bone connection headphones and she can hear her music or the tv and still hear me when I call for her or have a conversation about the show. They we’re slightly big so we returned these and got two sets of the mini size. One for her and one for me (I have lots of earrings which make ear buds impossible). Love these!!!

I first heard about this technology in the last Dan Brown book. I have to admit I was intrigued. After debating for a while and reading 1700 (yes all 1700) reviews on Amazon I was pretty sure I had to have them! I headed to best buy and they were not only $30 less than amazon I could get them today! They are currently charging so I cant say yet how awesome they are but I put them on and they seemed to fit better than expected after reading 1700 reviews and the biggest complaint was the lack of adjustability. I actually knew more about them than the salesman and the apple rep who was at the store but as I noted I did a LOT of research. Once they have charged I will update this review. This may be fun, it took me 5 minutes to find the charging port :) If you are looking for this technology I recommend getting them from Best Buy!

I use these headphones all the time at work. They are great for me to use at work because I can hear people talking to me while music is playing. Previously I've only had headphones that either cover the whole ear or go inside the ear canal. Using other headphones at work, I had to constantly be pausing or removing them from an ear. Where as these, the earpieces sit in front of the ear and somehow they are fairly loud to me but my coworkers cannot hear it. I do notice some soreness or discomfort just in front of the ear after I wear them for really extended periods, like 8 hours. They are probably not great in situations where you want noise canceling like on a plane. They've lasted me over 8 hours of being powered on but without constant use. I really like them.

I have always disliked headphones that covered my whole ear, so I switched to inner ear buds. Ive tried apple, beats, and jbuds, and no matter which piece I put on the ear bud they fall out of my ears. I also got my daith pierced about 6 months ago and the ring makes it hard to use regular headphones (but the piercing helps so much with my migraines ill keep it, over the headphones), so until now, I just thought 'oh well, headphones aren't for me'. these are fantastic. they tickle a little when you first boot them up but after that you cant even feel the reverberations. the sound quality is great. they are light but tough, and the charge lasts a long time. they are great for being on a plane or grocery shopping, it doesn't cut you off from the world while you listen to music or a podcast. haven't tried a phone call yet but im sure theyre stellar. def recommend.

I had these for two month that I use regularly on my cycling club rides usually 2-hr rides. I was skeptical at first but they work better than I expected. Of course the bass is not as good as in ear headphones but not bad at all(will vibrate with heavy bass). The battery life is great in my opinion; I recently did a century ride and it lasted the whole ride(6 hrs) with off and on again rain!! The only negative I see is that when riding with these I feel that the sound of wind is much more pronounced at speeds higher that 20mph. This may be a design flaw that pulls wind into the ear canal at the high speeds since the unit sits in front of the ear but I'm that's my take on it. Definetly worth the money if you want to hear music but still be a safe cyclist.

Great purchase for hearing aid wearers

I love my new headphones and so does my husband, family and friends. They can hear me much clearer when we talk. They say that I don't sound muffled or distant to them anymore. They work well with my hearing aids that I can listen to other conversations and my music as well. The only two down sides that I have found is: 1. If you wear eyeglasses there is a little more pressure in the area that the headphones lay. 2. There is no heavy base beat when listening to music. But I think with people wearing hearing aids it is better that way. They are light weight, comfortable and easy to connect to my phone. No wires getting in the way when I'm working out. They stay in place when I'm moving around. I'm so pleased with the product. My ear buds will be put on retirement. Thank you "TREKZ':-):-)

    Good Headphones for Bike Riding

I bought these bluetooth headphones to replace the bluetooth earbuds that I have been using for years. I like these Trekz Titanium headphones for biking as they do not cover your ears and you are able to hear all noises around you..like traffic. I have used them on road bike as well as trail bike. The only negative is that on windy days and at certain speed on road bike, you won't hear any music for a brief period. I dont crank volume load to begin with so it is understandable to have these situations. The titanium band does kind of ride up back of head when laid out on road bike but never has interfered with function of headphones and after awhile you get used to that. No issues what soever on the trail bicycle. My main concern is safety and these allow me to hear approaching traffic. Get them on sale for a good buy, just like all eletronics, don't pay full retail price!

    Just not comfortable

I wanted to like this product, but found I just couldn't wear it for extended periods of time as it pressed against my temples too hard; I realize that it must in order to remain in place, but it simply wasn't comfortable. Apparently others haven't found this to be the case, but it was for me. Otherwise yes, you can hear the sound perfectly through the bone-conduction. It comes with a set of standard ear plugs (like those you get to go to a concert, not ones to connect to the headset) and I realized that it's because if you're in a noisy environment, you would need these in order to block out the surrounding noise (traffic, work machinery, etc.). If you are typically in a noisy environment, I'm not sure this would be the best solution. I wound up returning mine, but if the pressure doesn't bother you, I would recommend them.

    Great Supplement to Ear Buds

These are GREAT! Can easily hear your surrounding while the music is clear. Used these for audio books while driving and the battery life was outstanding (much better than my completely wireless buds). Used them while biking and all was good (a little wind noise, but it was to be expected). Used them while running and they were great--except I run next to a busy road so any dialog audio (books, etc) was difficult to comprehend. Used in the gym (weights) and they worked well, but I prefer the thumping sound (no just vibration) of my in-ear buds for this. Over all they are worth the money primarily for the battery life, and audio/function they were designed for. They don't go directly into your ear so don't expect the same sound quality.

I was looking for an around the neck wireless headset that I could use at work and in car for phone calls. After researching I figured I would try these as they had good reviews and sounded promising. Everything about them is wrong. There is is no way to adjust them so they sit on your neck and ears differently depending on the size of your head. Also they are are suppose to be bone conduction but I found them to be too soft and instead placed them directly over my ears. Even with that my calls said they were not the best reception. Overall they are not comfortable. Not around my neck or on my ears. Had them less than 6 hours and cant take any more. Returning and my search will continue.

I purchased this set because I can't handle ear buds in my ears, and the over the ear headsets tangled in my hair. It took about a week to get used to the set fitting over my ears, as it made them sore (kind of like the first time I wore glasses constantly). These work great for what I need, as I'm constantly on the road for business and handle a lot of business over my cell phone. They are a bit difficult to hear well if you are in a place where there is a lot of loud background noise, but work just fine in normal background noise even in a store or business. They are exactly what I needed, and am excited to see future enhancements. I would love to see improvements in being able to adjust them to fit, but otherwise am very happy with these.

Sound: Really mediocre. Absolutely no middle or lower end. The manufacturer designed these to have all the mids/lows "felt" through the vibrations, but seriously failed. The mids and lows are actually removed from output sound and replaced by the vibrations. Comfort: Surprisingly comfortable, even with glasses. Build: Feels like a quality product. No sounds from movement or touching the device. Overall: Not worth a purchase. The vibration aspect is a total gimmick and the sound quality is pathetic. If the vibration were removed, and the sound quality improved a bit, I may be able to recommend them because they were quite comfortable. I like the fact that they do not go into or over your ears which allows you to hear outside sounds.

The headset provides clear sound, is fairly comfortable to wear and has a decent battery life. The headset does tend to slip back off my head, causing me to push it into position as I would a pair of ill fitting glasses. Other people have indicated that you can hear the headset from several feet away. I'm told that it isn't clear what they hear but it can be heard. Compared to my yoke style earbuds the second hand sound is too much to be reasonable. I bought this headset mainly for use when I want stereo sound but can't, for safety reasons, use earbuds or over the ear headphones. For this purpose they work fine. I can hear what I'm playing through them as well as everything else I need to be listening for. If it wasn't for the second hand sound this headset would be great.

Bought these so I could ride my bike and hear surroundings while listening to music. Best for moderate speeds as wind noise drowns out music at faster pace. Sound quality is okay and it's nice that it can be switched to optimize sound with or without ear plugs. Also nice that the phone can be answered with a simple push of a button on the side. Phone call sound quality is very good. I gave these 5 stars because compared to other head phones that block out noise, I feel much safer when on the road as I can hear cars coming up behind me. Biking was the main reason I bought these but I have also found these ideal for kayaking and running as well. I am very happy with my purchase.

I found the Aftershoz a neat product that didn’t work for me. The unit seemed well built with quality materials. I found the sound a bit low for my liking, but that probably has to do with the poor fit to my head. I wear my headsets all day and I found the Aftershokz uncomfortable after a bit and not compatible while wearing sunglasses. I work in a louder environment, but not loud enough for ear protection and the unit didn’t provide enough volume for me and I didn’t want to use earplugs just to make it louder. I found I prefer the over the neck with earbuds to be more effective for my needs.

I would have given these 5 stars but I had to return them. They made the back of my ears sore, everything else about them was great. I purchased the Trekz Air for $50 more and they are so much lighter and nicer. I wear them at work for more than 12 hours and the battery level is at medium. I play music all day long. The sound is also very impressive, keep in mind for bone conduction. Both models are about the same, the air are lighter and more comfortable. Some of the men I work with have no problems with pain behind the ears so I guess it depends on the person. I am a female and another female I work with had the same problems. we both returned and bought the air and the air is sooooo comfy.

These headphones are fantastic. I was blown away by the sound quality and volume from something NOT over your ear holes. These were for my step mom and she wears hearing aids. She hasn't had much luck with headphones. We we're hoping these would work well for watching TV...the sound quality was a 1000% improvement for her. The problem is the non adjustable neck band made it impossible for her to put her head back without them moving out of position. For their intended purpose of a sport/fitness headphone...A+. Not too good for the alternate application of TV headphones.
