Perfect for my needs
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing I didn't know is that you can't let the battery run down completely. I didn't know that and had to buy a new battery after a year or so. Other than that, I love it.

I really enjoyed the speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is probably one of the best I've ever owned. To me it's better than the Bose speaker

Very nice speaker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice speaker. However, it's not as loud as I expected. I did research looking for really loud Bluetooth speakers. Supposedly this was the 2nd loudest speaker in the world behind the Soundbox (which is over $1000). I obviously went with this one. Very easy to use/set up and it is a nice speaker. The sound isn't low, however it definitely isn't something that you'd use at a party, get together, or if you just like really loud music, like I do. I did end up returning this speaker and purchased the Nutex Professional Active Speaker, which is much louder. If you're looking for a speaker thats louder than the smaller Bluetooth speakers, and does fill the room that you're in with sound. Then I would definitely recommend this speaker. If you're wanting a really loud speaker, that you can hear throughout your home, that'll work at a social gathering, etc... then you'll probably want to keep looking.

Aiwa is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome speaker. I only returned because I was looking for an upgrade for the jbl boombox. Though I think this one did have a slight degree of overall performance, it wasn't enough to ditch the jbl.

Not worth 300.00
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds great indoors but not a single portable as I would like it to be. Playing at high volume Your as lucky if you get 2 hours out of the battery. If you want the battery to last longer you are looking to spend another 85.00

Great power. Lacking clarity.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I currently have a Altec Lansing IMT800 and love that unit. Two side firing subs, two woofers and two tweeters. I had see all the positive reviews for the Aiwa Exos 9 and ordered it along with the carrying case and remote. After comparing it to my old Altec IMT800 I decided to return it. The Aiwa sounds muffled compared to the Altec. I even removed the metal grill to see if that would help. I have now ordered the Diamondboxx. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I still love my old Altec IMT800 and wish they still made it. Mine is just beginning to have power supply issues due to its age. Altec needs to reintroduce the IMT800/810. I am still rocking out with the old Altec until my Diamondboxx arrives.

Hands Down best bluetooth speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speaker takes it to the MAX, the stock battery last about 9 hours at almost full, to full volume, and its FREAKIN LOUD, and THE BASS HITS, AND TRAVELS. It has a 5 channel fully adjustable equalizer. NFC, BLUETOOTH, and AUXILARY INPUT. The REMOTE CONTROL controls everything, from VOLUME, to TRACK, to EQ. I've never heard a better sounding, with such great highs, and super rich, deep bass, bluetooth speaker. It's not small, Nor is its sound, put the back about 3 inches from a WALL or HARD SURFACE, or better yet, IN A CORNER, and the bass port with accentuate your bass even more, reflecting against the surface. I was gonna get the extended battery for 18 hour battery life, but I just dont need it. The carrying case is awesome, and also works pretty good as a bass reflex surface, like a wall. It has pockets for your remote, charging cable, aux in cable, and your digital (or anolog) audio player, (but in the analog case, the remote will not control the track). I dont think I've ever been happier with a bluetooth speaker, and I have plenty. You can even plug a microphone into the aux input, or your electric guitar, etc, with a ¼" to ⅛" adapter.

Perhaps The Best Portable Boombox Ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm 50 years old. I was around way back in the 80's (hehe), when Boomboxes were all the rage, and I've owned most of the top dogs. JVC's M70/90, PC-3, PC-5, and quite a few others I that I can't recall the models. Over the past 20 years I've purchased (and still own) the original KaBoom, RV-DP100/200, and more recently the original Harman Kardon G0-Play (phenomenal), and the Altec Lansing IMT-810 (Very underrated)! My first (and only) BT portable was the Kicker Amphitheater (which is the only one listed that doesn't take batteries). Not being able to actually physically see, touch & hear the Exos-9, and only going by all of the extremely positive feedback I've been reading on various sites, I decided to take my chance. So I went all in and ordered two! Well they arrived today and all I can say is I'm elated that I went for it. These things ROCK! I thought the Altec 810 was a beast, and it is, but the Exos 9 is heads and tails above it, and all others I've listed! The highs are crisp, but not overbearing. The mids are where they need to be, and the bass is insane! I highly doubt that any other battery operated portable can reach the volumes this monster does. And without distorting!! Some people say it's to heavy to be considered a portable. I say fill up your water weights and get real. it's around 15 pounds, it's not that heavy. Try hauling around a JVC M-90 with 10 D-cells for a day, and then get back to me about weight. Anyways, for anyone who's on the fence about ordering this bad boy, I say get it. or better yet, get two and pair them. You won't regret it !! And on a side note for those who are looking for a carry case, I just picked up two American Tourister "atmosphera two" luggage carriers at Walmart (item number 62221-1041), and they are a perfect fit. You can even leave the Exos 9 in the carrier while listening to perhaps the best Boombox ever!

Loud and bass
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the reviews that I heard about this speaker I thought that I was going to get something banging. Nope I didn’t, the bass was weak and it wasn’t loud enough for me. Sent this one back and I’m on to the next one.

Great sounding bluetooth speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the EXOS-9 over others in this price class because it is the only one that does not use "passive radiators", and it has an EQ you can tune. All of the speakers are actually speakers. There are a total of five. One subwoofer, two mid-bass drivers and two tweeters. The subwoofer has its own separate amplifier. It's a difference you can hear - and feel. On some music, I actually needed to use the EQ to turn the bass down a little. The mid-range response is clear and the highs are crisp. Is it "Hi-Fi"? No, but remember that we're talking about a portable Bluetooth speaker that uses digital sound processing to make up for the deficiencies in the small speakers. In some program material, you can hear the DSP chip compressing and limiting levels to prevent distortion.Bluetooth is also far from high fidelity, but this unit does have Qualcomm's AptX Bluetooth chip which is capable of much higher quality sound than regular Bluetooth audio. (You'll need a phone that supports AptX audio) Most people won't even notice, but I am a more critical listener than most. For best fidelity, ditch wireless altogether and use the 3.5mm cable input. In my 14x35 family room, it shakes the walls with plenty of well-balanced sound. Outside, it provides ample volume. More than enough to annoy your neighbors to the point of calling the cops. When cranked up to near maximum, the battery life is about 6 hours. At reasonable listening levels, it'll go 20 hours no problem. I like the fact you can remove the battery pack and swap out a fresh one. What will you do with your JBL or Sony when the battery wears out in a few years? Their batteries are sealed inside and not user replaceable. This is what I would call an "adult" Bluetooth speaker. There is no fancy light show and it isn't splash resistant. It looks more at home in an oak bookshelf than sitting on a tailgate. But it will happily do tailgate duty and do a good job too.
