Outstanding, very comfortable gaming chair, priced nicely

I would recommend this gaming chair, very comfortable.

I've had it since mid 2019 its firm and uncomfortable and over time it became wobbly and tilted. I took the base apart and reassembled it, tighttened everything and it didn't help. It was uncomfortable before but once it started tilting it caused extreme back pain. To say I regret the purchase is an understatement.

Over the past few weeks, BBY has had different sales on AKRacing chairs. I first bought the Master Premium. Great chair, but the seat was too narrow. I like the idea of a racing seat, but no gaming/office chair should hold you that close when you aren't physically moving. I returned that chair and purchased the Office Obsidian. Flat seat, but one major design flaw. The edge of the seat is not smooth, but has a seam that slightly digs into the bottom of your thigh. Sitting like that for a long time is uncomfortable. I returned that and purchased the Core EX-Wide. Not too narrow and the edge of the seat is rounded. Finally, a keeper. The chair is not perfect though. A few gripes. First of all, they use a cheap tilt connector. The Master series uses the rock and lock connector...why not just put that on all the chairs. This chair rattles a little bit when I roll across the floor. Also, the wheels they give you are basic. Same gripe, why not use the same ones that ships with the Master series. If I were to guess, both parts don't add that much to the total cost. Finally, I'm on the shorter side...I wish the seat could go down JUST a little bit more. Although I can put my feet flat on the ground, in my experience with other chairs that sit higher, I know I can't sit for very long before my legs will start to hurt. Maybe as the foam breaks in a little, it won't be as bad. I've seen short gas lifts on ebay, I might have to swap it out. Otherwise, this chair is great. Buying it on sale makes it that much sweeter.

Don't expect to get a comfy chair it's like compact car seat foam kinda on the stiff side. Still trying to get the seat height to spec's seems about 1.5 inches higher than 16.7 inches, at it's lowest setting. It however has a very durable feel to it, and it looks like it's made well. I ordered 2 of them on sale, if I can't get the height to adjust I'm returning 1. This is my 2nd gaming chair the first 1 was very comfy very soft memory foam but it flattened out a bit needed an upgrade. I'm hoping the foam will break in a bit on the one I'm keeping. Very easy to put together. Shipping to Hawaii was free. I will post an update if I experience any other problems.

Deciding to spend the extra money on a pricey gaming chair began to become less about the cost and more attention to comfort and function. A cheaper budget chair was exactly what I wanted to avoid. Quality and visual appeal was my goal. Best Buy helped by making the "AKRACING Core Series EX-Wide Gaming Chair" the Deal of the day, a few weeks ago. (Sorry if you missed it) I had already reviewed several "racing" type gaming chairs and noticed AKRACING appeared on several websites and always received positive reviews. I'm a good sized guy, (280lbs before the holidays) so word-of-advice, look at the weight limit of your final choice and note how much comfort space you'll be looking for. The mention of "Wide" got my attention. (42" waist) After looking at the other options and the multitude of choices out there, I went for it. Best buy was the best deal out there for the money. ($199.99 + tax w/ the Deal of the day) This made it a no-brainer. Assembly only took about 30-mins solo. They recommend a 2 person team, but I finished with no issues. The box is quite large, drawing the attention of other curious shoppers at pick-up. Large, but I tied it securely to my rooftop with no headaches. I began seeking something more professional as well as comfortable. I once thought the fabric finish vs. leather was a downgrade, but I actually appreciate the finish more than I thought. It gets cold sometimes and the finish is alway inviting vs. the cold/ temped feel of leather or the fake finish of 'pleather' (plastic leather). The instructions were direct at first, complete with photos. (minus the "how to install the pillows." 2 words... youtube.) Everything is adjustable, from the armrest to the height positioning and the recline options. Note: Yes. It did hold up the full laid-out position (180' degrees) and with my size, that's saying something. Recommend adding some wide padding to the armrests. Optional but the perfect finish for me. Overall I'm very pleased about this purchase. I gave it 5 stars based on cost, comfort, looks, and the ease of assembly. It looks the part and the style made my office look great. As for the price, it's true... You get what you pay for!

Bought this chair for my home office because “office chairs” were killing me. I am 6’3” 250lb. The chair arrived damaged so I reached out AKRACING. I have still not heard back. Of course, Best Buy helped me out the same day and exchanged it. It went together easily, Its sturdy, and mostly comfortable for a person my size. The swiveling and sliding arm rests are obnoxious. The neck pillow is for appearance only as it sits too far back to support your neck. The seat pad is flat and stiff - its not molded like a bucket seat like it looks. Bottom line is my back likes this chair so much better though, and the seat raises to a heigh appropriate for my size making my legs less tired. Bottom line: If Best Buy had not been so helpful this chair would not be in my house right now.

Chair was bought for boyfriend. So here is his review. The only con to this chair I have found is the instructions. The chair itself is amazing. It's comfortable. I am 6'1 roughly 280 so I'm not huge. But the chair allows for enough room for me to cross my legs in the chair. I would recommend this chair to anyone who plays games regularly.

Easy to assemble and very comfortable. I like the adjustment on the seat back as I can recline and not worry about breaking the chair because it is solid.

I have been using this chair for over 3 years and haven't had any issues with it. I work 60+ hrs a week and sit in it 10-12 hrs a day comfortly. The extra-wide seat is also nice, it isn't snug and has a lot of room; I'm 6 foot and 260+ lbs.

So I bought this for me. I am 5' 11' and 230 pounds. This chair has no cushion on the seat to support me. I read all the review but they were all untrue for me. I sat on this for a couple of hours and my bottom was hurting. I found out that when I sat the cushion goes down and what under the cushion is the metal part holding the chair. That is what I kept feeling when I sat down. So this provides no support and so I ended up returning. Will never buy a gaming chair again. Also the fabric was ripping so be careful that you check everything before you assemble it.
