Love this movie! Still holds up as one of the best Scifi movies if all time. The steelbook is a great addition to my collection.

Having been a science fiction aficionado of books and videos since childhood, and read many hundreds of SyFy stories and watched innumerable videos., I would rate Alien (1979) in the top handful of Science Fiction/Horror movies of all time. It’s best to see this movie for the first time uninformed of the plot details; the impact of some scenes is all the more nerve-wrenching. They’re still disturbing to me after many views. The 4K remaster of this film is very well done. The audio and video quality is outstanding. Another important factor for me is that it’s oriented to a mature audience. Has anybody else had their fill of comic based pseudo-science fiction? I’d rather watch a great movie ten times (with a substantial interregnum in between) than a mediocre movie more than once. If you love SyFy cinema, you’ll want to see this more than once. The sequel, Aliens (1986) is just as good. If you’d like a little help finding good movies, I would recommend the IMDB advanced Title Search at https://www.imdb.com/search/title/.

This 4k release is a significant improvement over the 20 anniversary DVD!! Can only hope the other Alien films are done in 4K

4k audio and video are outstanding. Alien has never looked better. Steelbook has a nice design. Highly recommended.

Scary beyond belief-combined with sci-fi it is a classic that should not be watched alone on a cold snowy winters night !

The ALIENs movies have been one of my favorites of all time. Have watched them several times and they don't get old to me.

Ah, the one that started it all.... I love all the Alien films and with Sigourney Weaver doing a suburb acting performance.

This movie is a blast from the past. A mile stone movie that started a whole class of movies. I highly recommend it.

40 years later the movie is still one of the best scifi/suspense/horror movies you will ever see and the 4k looks great

Surprisingly Awesome!. For such an old movie, the 4K restoration and upgrade was Exquisite! HDR was a big benefit! Sounded Super Scary in Surround! Definitely worth the upgrade for a classic collectable Horror film. So glad the Price was more appropriate. $17.99 is actually fair.

Movie looks like it was done the other way, what an amazing 4K transfer. Steelbook is just okay when you see it in person.

The design of this movie has stood the test of time, and any film collector who doesn’t want this in 4K is probably crazy.
