This laptop is on the heavier and bulkier side but it has all the bells and whistles of a gaming laptop. I was a big fan of alienware laptops but never owned one. Its been over 4 months now and so far it has run smooth and worked with everything I have thrown at it. I use tableau, R, Python, data robot, SQL server and play games , world of warplanes.

Can’t go wrong with the i7 and the GTX 1070. Unfortunately I had steamVR software compatibility issues and was not a good fit for me.

This is an excellent high performance laptop and Best Buy pricing for a re-certified one made it a very happy purchase. Came in original box but was missing some packing finesse. The laptop though had no scratches and looked brand new. Is a workhorse for graphic intensive programs like Auto CAD. heavy but gets the work done.

Like other reviewer have said, it's heavy. However, I knew this before purchasing so no big surprise to me. This laptop will play almost any game at max settings perfectly fine with high FPS. I use it for work and gaming which replaced my desktop with ease. I have zero regrets on this one....love the laptop !

Great performance but it heats up too much. I feel like i gotta let it cool down.

Initially bought this laptop for the intent of gaming, until I tried rendering videos. Rendering took a lot less time with no problem of multitasking.

The SSD is a small capacity and should be upgraded IMO. Right out of the box the Windows 10 system image/restore function was non functional when creating a recovery disk via a USB 3.0 optical drive. Geek squad tried to correct this but were unable to do so using any USB device as the recovery drive. The only solution is to go into recovery mode within windows. The system image can be accessed on a USB device (HDD) and successful restoration can be made then. In the event of a C drive hardware failure one would have to install a new drive, reinstall windows in order to have recovery options, and restore a saved system image. Were USB recovery option viable then reinstallation of Windows would not be needed. USB recovery options have worked fine until the latest build of Windows 10. A new Alienware laptop should work correctly out of the box and if a major component of Window is deficient in any way a fix should be available or knowledge of one being worked on should be available. If you want to use this function be aware. A 3rd party backup solution may be a better way to go.

This computer is the best I've ever owned. It is a bit heavy.. but for what it contains inside.. it's worth it. The screen is bright and crisp, and the computer is fast! I don't use for gaming but for coding, programming, and software design. Works great for dual booting Linux as well.

Great gaming laptop and handles VR wonderfully! My wife liked mine so much, I ended up getting her one for our anniversary!

Top notch processor, more RAM than you need, SSD and one of the best video cards around. All in a package that makes the girls go wow! This thing will remain a gaming capable machine for a long time. Can't go wrong for the price. The only downside is no optical drive built in and not enough native ports to run an oculas rift. It does run the Vive great and the new mixed reality like a boss.

The configurations brought me to the conclusion to buy it, however, it didn't fulfill my expectations. Freezes a few times a week, and fans get really loud at moderate use. However, the battery life was more than I expected and gaming is as promised!

This thing is incredible, not only is this laptop fast and able to play the games I throw at it. I’ve been using this as my desktop replacement and it has been serving me well. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on the all the lights this thing has! To boot you can even change the colours of the lights!

Salesman was very attentive and knowledgeable; showed my daughter-in-law and me various products relative to a laptop I was buying for my grandson. Did not push the more expensive product which I ultimately decided to buy, but did detail the advantages of each laptop I looked at. Overall a very pleasant (except for the cost--LOL) experience.

I bought this product for my son. He uses it at home and in college. I was nervous about the price at first until I saw what this computer can do. I compared it to other brands and it stood high above them all. Great price for all that technology.

This dude is awesome. Game all day with it and I still can’t heat it up.

This laptop is a beast. I’ve push it to its limits with photography post processing ansnit moves fast. It’s a bit heavy and wide for most back packs or I would give it a 5 star.
