For my average everyday work (especially during quarantine) it was great but occasionally got hot after long work hours. For gaming, it got really hot. I usually play FIFA and Rocket League. It can handle Ultra settings but it gets super hot and will throttle if it does not have a Cooling Pad. Ultimately I returned it as there was a great deal on another computer and bought that one instead. If I had not found that deal I would have kept it and I would have gone on with my life. Overall it is a good computer but don't expect to push it to the limit. Especially while Gaming

We're glad that you were happy with your computer's performance. We're sorry to hear that it got a little hot for you while you were using it for an extended period of time. The Dell G Series computers do come with a way to help control the computer's temperature through Alienware's Command Center. In the future we'd recommend using a thermal profile that works best for your needs.

Easy to get started, registered and personalize. Love the way I can setup different themes for game launching. Highly recommend it!

It overheats after about an hour of intense guild wars 2, or almost immediately on rainbow six seige. This laptop has the stats of a beast, but cannot handle anything. Honestly, I'm deeply disappointed in my purchase and really want something new. About to ditch laptops all together. I have a couple more months of my payment plan and this crap goes on the shelf. DO NOT BUY THIS if you do any intense gaming. You're better off getting another laptop. MSI did better than this.

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your laptop is overheating. Thankfully the Alienware systems allow you to control your thermal settings in the Alienware Control Center. Please consider adjusting the thermal controls in your Control Center to match your gaming usage.
• To tune your system, go to Alienware Command Center and select out of 4 different thermal profiles that will help you manage system temperatures as well as performance output to your preference. These include Cool, Quiet, Balanced, and Performance thermal profiles.
• Our Alienware m15 follows 8th and 9th generation Intel performance design guidelines, which can lead CPU temperatures to reach 100°C to output top in-game performance.
