Disappointing for the Price

I bought this laptop for the sole purpose of being able to play World of Warcraft on the road. With that being said it was extremely disappointing to see the game recommend 5/10 on the settings and still manage choppy 30-45fps anywhere in the game. I was able to modify the settings to get a smoother 60fps but I had to sacrifice all shadows, particle effects and water settings. For an almost $1700 computer this is pathetic. I have heard of other people getting awesome performance with other brands using similar hardware so maybe check out a different company. As soon as I return from my trip this laptop is being returned. As far as everything else goes it's fantastic. But a gaming laptop that fails at gaming is just laptop.

Alienware is by far a flagship brand. There is no other laptop kind like them, unique design. Brushed aluminum finish, perfectly design LED lights really make it stand out from a crowd. It disperses heat very effectively.
A few things I'm not a huge fan are:
-The camera could really be upgraded, for a $1,500 you'd expect a better HD Camera.
-Battery life is short, running AAA games at max settings drain it to an hour and forty minutes.
-Display doesn't seem as bright as advertised (The Witcher 3's color isn't as *boom* as you'd want(compared to Asus G752(GTX1060)))
Things worth mentioning:
-The i7 works flawlessly for the most part.
-GTX 1060 displays games at max settings with no issues
-The design ! Aluminum finish, powerful LEDs
-Wireless adapter is reliable
If you want a gaming laptop, want to stand out in a crowd this is the one to get.

I got this computer because of Alienware's reputation for making tanks. However the build quality is not what it used to be. Sure its fast, but not so fast I can deal with less than 2 hours battery life. Also there is only one regular USB and one USB 3, NO SD card slot and the power cord plugs in the center of the rear panel. I was willing to pay more and deal with the huge, heavy frame, to get a solid laptop, however there are just too many negatives. Save your money. A lot of it.
