We're sorry to hear about the overheating that you've been experiencing with your new Dell laptop. Here are some suggestions to help keep the product temperature down:
Tips for Proper Usage:
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased because I saw the power without really doing any research it has everything you want from a power prospective I9 check full gtx 1080 OC check 16gb 2666 ddr4 ram check but all that completely wasted on a 60 htz panel that looks TN with bad viewing angles and no gsync…. what in the world...… seriously?? a $3000 laptop with these specs its embarrassing it only has a 60 screen with no gsync no tobii eye tracking and its not IPS and if it is then its a very bad ips screen with bad viewing angles and ghosting/ low response times. Avoid this option as the 8750h 6 core with gtx 1070 model is only $1700 and has gsync making this complete waste of money.

Waste of money

It was a manufacturer error so I had to replace it. Then I start to notice on the replacement that it did’t have G-sync nor Tobii. Then I started noticing more things , it was a 60hz not a 120hz no face recognition stuff like that! I went on dell website to see if this was a 60hz or 120hz lord to be hold 60hz!!! Omg false advertising!! This is a price you pay for a “ 120hz w/ G-sync and Tobii Eye tracking!!! You people better Recognize

I paid less than $2,000 for it. This year I decided to get this model, which comes with the same FHD screen, but an upgraded processor and a 1080 oc graphic card. However, there is no Tobii feature on this model which is $1300 more than I paid last year. I bought it knowing unfortunately that it had the same stale display specs, but I cannot fathom why a gaming laptop of this caliber could not feature something as simple as the Tobii feature. Dell, I am not impressed!
