But now after their hi-end acquisitions of Intel and Alienware I feel confident enough to spend the money to own their labels once again.

Have has it for a month and am so hapoy with the purchase. Was always on the fence about alienware being overpriced, but picked this up on sale and am very happy I did.

I'm hoping to be able to write another review or edit this one after my issues have been fixed. I bought my desktop brand new while it was on sale, the value was too good to pass up. Since the first day I got it, when I would download games it would randomly shut off. After moving the power cord from my extension to the wall it did not fix the issue. Also, when I'm playing low graphic games that dont require the full capacity of this PC, my CPU AND GPU are getting very hot and the fan is getting extremely loud (I was very surprised by the fan based on the other reviews I have seen). I will say Dell/Alienware has been working with me to get this fixed. They replaced my GPU and fan but that didnt fix the problem. I am now working on replacing the desktop completely with them since I'm still within 30 days of my purchase. Depending on how this goes and how my new desktop runs - I will be writing a new review. But I think it is important to note that I did not have a good out of the box experience

I have noticed that it shuts off after awhile of not being in use which I find a huge plus for conserving energy consumption.

I've had nothing but issues out of this machine. First, it runs very poorly. Stuttering on simple games. Second, I had harddrive issues with it that took a few days to resolve. Finally, the pump on the water cooling system failed in less than a year. I will never buy another alienware for as long as I live. Garbage machine.
