We apologize for the troubles you have experienced with your Alienware 25” gaming monitor because there is a little red dot on its screen and it is flickering. This is certainly not the experience that we like to hear from our customers. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to help improve our current and future products.
Your monitor has a built-in diagnostic tool that helps you determine if any screen abnormality you experience is an inherent problem with your monitor, or with your computer and video card.
To run the built-in diagnostics:
1. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen).
2. Press and hold Button 4 for about 4 seconds until a pop-menu appears.
3. Use Button 1 or Button 2 to select the diagnostic tool and use Button 3 to confirm. A gray test pattern appears at the beginning of the diagnostic program.
4. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
5. Press Button 1 again to change the test patterns.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to inspect the display in red, green, blue, black, white, and text screens.
7. Press Button 1 to end the diagnostic program.
If you do not detect any screen abnormalities upon using the built-in diagnostic tool, the monitor is functioning properly. Check the video card and computer.

Amazing Monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this monitor for 4 years no problems really amazing and satisfied with the purchase recommend for anyone wanting a good 240hz monitor with a 1ms reaction time, really love the rgb illuminating from the back aswell, cable management friendly as a panel in the back tucks in display port and power port.

Everything is simple and quick to set up, the stand gives you flexibility with positioning/orientation of the monitor, very good for those using 2 monitors for their rigs. It comes with all the visual cables so you can get set up as soon as you open it. It all looks absolutely sleek and cool af. The best part is the response and refresh rate on this monitor. The 240hz and 1ms response time means that you'll see and act only as quick as your hands and eyes can keep up. I definitely recommend it for anyone that wants to get a great screen that can handle some intense gaming or quick response gaming.

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the issues you have come across with the monitor shutting off while in use. We have provided steps that can be used to run a Self-Test on the monitor to help diagnose the issue.
To run the monitor built-in self test (BIST):
1. Make sure that the monitor screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen).
2. Unplug the video cable(s) from the back of the Dell monitor and the PC. The Dell monitor should now enter self-test mode.
3. Press and hold Button 1 for 5 seconds. A gray screen should appear.
4. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
5. Press Button 1 on the front panel again. The color of the screen should now change to red.
6. Inspect the screen for any abnormalities.
7. Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 to inspect the screen in green, blue, black, white and text screens.
8. The test is complete when the white screen appears.
9. Press Button 1 to exit the built-in self test diagnostics.

Awesome picture and sharp design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally i wouldn’t get too excited about a monitor but when this one showed up i knew it was going to be a different experience. The first thing I can say about the Alienware design is that it’s solid and very attractive. The base is super heavy and has no sign of wobble like my other high end monitor. The unit is completely plug and play and integrated immediately with my system via HDMI. You also have the option to use DisplayPort. My Dell Monitor Manager picked it up instantly and setup using the on screen controls is pretty easy. Embarrassing enough - I think the hardest thing was finding the power button, which is under the right front corner. The buttons on the back of the monitor aren’t marked very well so i kept pushing one thinking it was it and no such luck. Display quality is very sharp for a monitor this size and screen performance for high refresh rate games was so much better than the monitor i normally use. This is an absolute recommend for anyone with gaming hardware that wants a top quality monitor to pair with their rig.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this monitor for various tasks, mainly gaming, for the past 2 weeks in combination with another Alienware monitor(dual screen) and I have noticed I am enjoying gaming more and more. The brightness and colors of this IPS panel are really good and textures in game look more realistic. It also helps that this monitor has AMD freesync capability so I am experiencing those benefits with my gaming tower equipped with freesync. I am not experiencing noticeable input lag or latency, any screen tearing even will on high settings. With this monitor I never went below 60FPS and hovered mostly at 120FPS. I did manage to get above 120 FPS but it wasn't too noticeable. The 1MS response time is also noticeable to me even compared to 4MS and that comes with constant gaming of the same games especially with first person shooters. If I had to make one complaint about the monitor it would have to be about the buttons on the back. They are not easily accessible and it's tough to determine which button will do what at first. Overall, I love the design of the monitor and really enjoy the LED on the back of the monitor as it stands out and pops. I am definitely using this monitor as my main primary monitor for any of my gaming down the line.

I've had this for a while now and I still love it. It's not 4k but I play FPS games so I need to non-glare and response time. I plan on keeping this till it wears out and have loved it since day one.
