Good, not Great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, this is a top-tier monitor. 27 inches at 4K is incredibly sharp, and since it's an OLED, you get all the benefits that come with that. I gave it 4 stars because I just wasn't that impressed with this relative to other OLED monitors, particularly the ASUS XG27UCDMG, which is significantly brighter in SDR mode. If you work in a dark, light controlled room, then this could be a good fit, if not, I'd opt for something with a bit more brightness, like the ASUS version.

Worth the buy!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing image quality, deep inky blacks and simple OSD, the colors are a decent bit inaccurate off the box so I would recommend watching a guide and following through RTINGS ICC profile of this monitor to correct these color inaccuracies which after makes the monitor near perfect!

Great Monitor but it has some issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So i want to start by saying, i liked this monitor(yes, I returned it). It has a sleak clean design and looks super minimal from the front with a cool alienware rgb logo on the back for some gamer esthetics. The panel has nice slims bezels with just a bit of leeway for the pixel shift technology. The panel itself is also good with nice punchy colors and good looking blacks. However, i did feel the brightness wasnt where I would like it to be. I mainly had this connected to my Xbox Series X and my macbook pro m3 pro and using both sdr and hdr, I noticed an oddity with this brightness. SDR was great, everything looked punchy and right in your face. HDR on the other hand felt off, almost dim. It felt like the brightness was at 80% and I just wanted to crank it to 100% but it already was already at max. I tried each and every HDR mode and just couldnt get the right mix of what I had hoped from my first OLED. The two that I used was true black hdr 400 and peak 100 hdr. The true black gave the most punchy colors and obviously best looking blacks but wasn’t bright enough. The peak 1000 felt bright but could be brighter and I noticed it looked a tad bit washed out. And yes, I calibrated each accordingly. But the main issue that I had and was the real reason for the return was the functional issues. On multiple occasions, I had this monitor just turn black. The screen would display an image and all of a sudden…go black. Or I would switch inputs and it went to a black screen. No input missing message or something like that. The power light was on. I had a heart attack the first time. I did some research online and saw other people reporting the same, with some having their monitor bricked. After about 5-6 of these happening within the two weeks i had it, I decided to just return it. Spent $700 for something, I atleast want to look good. To people who are planning on purchasing, I wouldnt shy away from this but I also wouldn’t recommend it.

A stunning 4K gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alienware AW2725Q is one of the most compelling 27″ 4K OLED gaming monitors available right now. When it works as intended, its combination of resolution, color depth, refresh rate, and responsiveness delivers a premium experience. As long as you’re willing to accept a few tradeoffs (brightness, no speakers, pay attention to burn-in), it’s hard to beat for high-end gaming and media consumption.

Amazing monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alienware - AW2725Q has proven to be an absolute beast of a monitor. Everything about it from it's design to it's performance has been outstanding. The new dark blue color of the chassis is really beautiful. Not the same old standard black color but also nothing that screams out either. Just a nice subtle change. You couldn't ask for an easier monitor to put together. No tools required. Simply screw the base plate onto the arm with the built in screw and snap it into place on the back of the monitor. Done! The connections and controls are easy to reach and use. The on screen menu is easy to understand and navigate. There is no big ugly power brick. Just a power cord. You do have a nice range of height adjustment and it dose swivel as well. There are no built in speakers, but considering the target market being gamer's who will likely use either a headset or a nice speaker system I don't see that as an issue. So how good is the screen? Simply amazing! The deep blacks and perfect colors provided by the OLED panel are beautiful. And the clarity of the text is awesome as well. I personally think 27" is the perfect size for a monitor. I have used larger ones in the past, but I find that with the screen right in front of your face that anything bigger than this is too much. For gaming the 240Hz refresh rate is great. For non-gaming use, I find this panel amazing for photo editing as well due to it virtually perfect colors and contrast. In 2025 and beyond I don't think I could ever recommend anything but an OLED monitor. They are just that good. And of the ones I've used, this is by far and away the best.
