Beautiful monitor! Very wide, but most games support the ultra wide so it just enhances my ability to game. The colors are unreal! Sometimes I wonder if my screen is even on. The refresh rate is all I need for my 2k gaming, and all the games just look beautiful. Movies aren’t too bad, but it all depends on the service you use. Overall, great monitor and great entry level OLED for the price with ultrawide!

I love the price and quality of the monitor I bought. This monitor has great colors and true blacks, it’s a great entry level to Wide Screen OLED monitors. Open box at Best Buy is one of the best deals on the market for expensive tech. There were some minor frustrations as once I received the paired and brought it home the panel was covered in fingerprints. It was an easy clean but was just disappointing as it was something I thought Best Buy would handle. No worries, I just know to check in the future. Overall great experience and great product.

Absolutely stunning picture quality perfect blacks the OLED screen takes gaming to a completely new level. The only reason why I didn’t give this five stars it’s just for the price it should’ve came with built-in speakers. Samsung has an OLED monitor comparable to this and it comes with speakers for $900 speakers should be included.

Best Monitor I've Owned

I’ve been using the Alienware 34" QD-OLED monitor for a while now, and I have to say—It's the best monitor I've owned. This thing has a great display, super quick response time, and it’s been a total game-changer for my gaming, multitasking, and movie nights.
The screen is just gorgeous. The QD-OLED tech makes colors pop like crazy and the blacks are so deep it’s almost unreal. Whether I’m watching a movie or playing a game with dark scenes, it looks incredible. I’ve heard some people say it’s not perfect in super bright rooms, but I as long as you don't have a light right behind you it's great.
Gaming on this monitor is a dream. The response time is lightning-fast and I don’t see any blur, even in fast shooters or racing games. The 165Hz refresh rate keeps everything smooth, and the ultra wide view gives me an edge in games like first-person shooters. It’s great for gaming, hands down, and I’ve even hooked up my PS5 to it with no issues.
For work, it’s been awesome too. I can have multiple windows open side-by-side—like my email and a spreadsheet—and still have room to spare. It’s made multitasking so much easier, and I don’t feel cramped at all. Plus, it’s got these cool modes where I can split the screen between my PC and another device, which is perfect for juggling tasks.
I got it on sale and I recommend anyone to do the same as the full price is high.

Stunning image quality and gorgeous

Stunning image quality, both SDR or HDR looks gorgeous. Images, pictures and video looks very realistic.
Very deep color saturation. Images and video look vivid.
Very bright when HDR is enabled, HDR can go up to 1000nits brightness.
Black is truly black. This makes it able to provide very high contrast ratio.
No need to do any calibration because it is pre-calibrated at the factory and comes with a calibration report.
Game play video is unparallel, motions are smooth, no stuttering, no blurry artifacts.
Build quality is very good, the stand is very sturdy.
Very easy to install and assemble, just bolt the stand and the base together, then snap the panel to the stand.
The power button is at the lower right, I like it that this has s separate button for power.
At the bottom center is the joystick button for changing the monitor settings.
Pressing the joystick once brings up a OSD quick menu at the bottom and a status bar at the top of the screen. Status bar shows the current status of the monitor.
You can move the monitor up or down, and tilt the monitor but it does not have a portrait mode. You can only rotate about 5 degrees left or right.
It comes equip with AlienVision. AlienVision is a gaming aid that highlights the center of the screen, you can brighten the center area, display a large crosshair to help with aiming or enable chroma vision.
Playing games using this monitor is an ultimate pleasure. Buttery smooth motion, vivid color, excellent image quality and the curve and ultra-wide screen makes it very immersive.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remaster works fine with 21:9 aspect ratio monitor.
You will see it in 16:9 aspect ratio while navigating in the menu but during driving, it expands to 21:9 aspect ratio and you will feel very immersive.
Rocket League looks buttery smooth, no motion blur at all.
After playing for 4 hours, it will prompt to do a pixel refresh only when you switch to standby, this is to prevent pixel burn-in. Nice.
Now here are some of the items I feel it is lacking,
one is the OSD menu does not response quick enough and at times feel a bit slow even. I notice this because I was used to monitor that give quick response when changing setting in the menu.
Next, when HDR is switched off, the panel does not go bright enough, it is passable but I was expecting at least 400nits.
Third, it only has 1 hdmi and it is only version 2.0
Lastly but is minor, the monitor does not have speakers.

I had been using an ultrawide QHD LCD 100hz monitor for the past 4-5 years and recently decided to upgrade to an OLED panel. I first got a Samsung Neo G8, but aside from some high-pitched coil whine things affecting my health, I also found colors to be way oversaturated even after adjusting in settings, among other UI problems. Ultimately exchanged it for this Alienware model and I can wholeheartedly say this monitor is perfection.
The colors on it are very accurate, which is great since I mostly use my PC for graphic design and video editing. Gaming on this is a treat, especially with HDR. Turning on HDR on Windows and also HDR settings on the Nvidia Control Panel transforms SDR media into beautiful contrast-rich content that pops. I'm so happy I found this monitor.

The ergonomics are good, especially for an ultrawide monitor. You can adjust it in any way you like, colors are beautiful on this monitor, so very immersive gaming. About the only thing I don't like is when you get smudges, you can't just clean it with anything, the pixel refresh can be annoying if you don't set it to not remind you, but you have to remember to do it manually. It helps with delaying any burn in. I set it to have the background change every so many mins so there isn't one static pic in it for too long. Overall, no regrets in purchasing this awesome monitor!

Honestly? I'm not impressed. When I first unpacked the monitor and plugged it in, my first thought was "wow this is gorgeous" after having used standard 1080p monitors all my life. It truly does have excellent build quality and the image looks colorful and premium.
However after spending some time with it, this thing gives me more trouble than those cheap $99+ displays and I'm tempted to go back.
1st issue: Random lines through screen. Some days the monitor has what I can only describe as static lines that appear as a flash every few minutes. Turning it off and on seems to fix this.
2nd issue: Random blackouts. The screen goes black and recovers after about 4 seconds. This, again, stops if I turn off/on. In combination with the static lines, it starts to get really annoying. LITERALLY AS I'M TYPING THIS, IT BLACKED OUT AGAIN.
Note: I can't emphasize how weird these display issues are. Some days it runs perfectly fine with the same cables, etc. Some days it just does not want to perform.
3rd issue: Super picky about cables. I had to go through my collection ofHDMI cables to find ones that worked consistently. I received "no signal" issues and the cables it came with didn't work either. For context, I'm connecting this monitor to an Alienware x14R2 laptop (LOL it should work flawless with the same brand of computer, right?) and a macbook air m3. Both of these relatively new devices gave me problems. Both worked flawlessly with my cheap 1080p monitors.
4th issue: Pixel refresh, although necessary for OLED burn in, is disruptive. A prompt requires that you perform this every few hours which means you stop using the monitor for 4 minutes while it gets rid of burn in risk. You can turn this off if you're brave, however, it still asks this EVERY TIME I turn the monitor off via the power button.. I understand it's important, but please just shut down and execute without prompting me every time.
5th issue: For this price, I expected a better UI for the settings menu or a remote. I noticed at one point when I was having signal issues, It locked me out of the menus altogether until signal was restored. Weird.
6th issue: Audio capabilities are confusing. It seems like it would have built in speakers, but it doesn't. Just a duplicative audio jack at the bottom of the screen (I will never use this because most computing devices have their own jacks).
7th issue: Updating the firmware to the most recent version did nothing to improve the experience. Shame.
In summary, I can see why this was on sale. I know this may come across as harsh but I use this monitor DAILY for work and play, so these little annoyances show themselves quickly. It seems like a great idea on paper but poor execution. I may contact Alienware and request a replacement because surely this isn't a normal experience.

This isn't my first 4K monitor but it is my first OLED monitor as well as a curved one so I got two upgrades at once when I setup this monitor. Overall I love the look of this monitor, it is very sleek looking from an aesthetics perspective and the LED lighting effects for the back Alienware logo, the number "34" on the back, and the power button is pretty cool. The ability to customize them from the menu also to be different colors or the same and have various effects is a nice feature. I still haven't found a way to integrate that functionality with my Alienware Command Center that controls the lighting on my wireless headphones though and that would be cool if it did.
From a gaming perspective the blacks on this are better than any of the other gaming monitors or 4K TV's I have gamed on yet. The colors are very virbrant with little to no tweaking out of the box other than a few minor adjustments and a change to the HDR settings. I haven't noticed any sort of tearing or jittering while playing games from Halo Infinite to Forza Horizion 5. All the games so far I have played on look absolutely gorgeous!
The only complaint or warning I could have is that this verison is designed to be optimized with the AMD Freesync hardware so if you have an Nvidia card you won't be able to take advantage of that feature or the Nvidia version. For that you would need the other model that is a few hundred more which allows for a higher refersh rate to take advantage of the Nvidia features. For me with this monitor set at 165 Hz refresh I haven't notcied any issues with any games I have played on it the last few weeks. I also watched a few movies and all performed great.

I'm going to give this a 5 star review.
I bought this monitor for $700 and it's an amazing value at that price.
Summary: A huge upgrade if you're coming from a non oled. The monitor software is easy to navigate and not buggy. It's high refresh rate, and the freesync/gsync works flawlessly. The HDR looks great on the True Black setting. The monitor can look dim if it's used in a brightly lit room.
Mostly everything is great. I would recommend using the HDR True Black setting just because it keeps the brightness of dark areas consistent compared to HDR 1000 mode. In HDR 1000, it will make darker areas a lot more dim when the scene gets bright, which was very noticeable for me.
One of the things that took getting used to is the color accuracy of the monitor. A lot of colors looked "washed" out to me, but people in forums said that's what 100% color accuracy looks like. A lot of displays over saturate colors, so I was used to that. Now I can't look at other monitors without seeing how over saturated they are.
I've had this monitor for 2 months now and it's absolutely amazing. It's a huge upgrade over my old LG 34GP83A-B IPS monitor.
The only complaint I have is that the monitor can look very dim if you're in a brightly lit room. If I'm using it during midday, I have to close my blinds since I wouldn't be able to see the contents on the display otherwise.

Got this sick monitor as an open box.
Everything was included in the box!!
Have to say this monitor is worth the original price.
Picture quality is amazing! Colors look like like and are super accurate. The contrast ratio as well is outstanding. Darks can go completely black at the same time the monitor can turn up the brightness in well light areas like your looking into the sun lol.
Refresh rate is also really good so is the latency. Everything feels super snappy and responsive.
All in all if your looking for a monitor I highly recommend getting this one.

I was heavily on the fence to move away from my still quite stellar 32”, Flat, IPS Ultragear 165hz panel to This. They could not be more different - curved, ultra wide, OLED panel is a big change. Months of deliberation (which did allow for the price to come down as well). I waited for a sale timeframe and managed to get a great deal (in my estimation, well under MSRP). Unboxing was great, packaged very well and gives important steps to ensure safety in removing the monitor. I had a monitor mount, so the stand was only utilized for removal from the box. Initial impressions were that it would take some adjustment to the reduced vertical height. I had wanted to choose another OLED model with more vertical height but the curve was pretty extreme as was the price. Months later I can say, this is a non-issue and I’ve adapted quickly. The contrast from OLED is just something you’ll have to experience for yourself. Black levels as well as the variations of color produced is amazing. It took some time to adjust picture settings to my liking that were appropriate for both desktop professional use and gaming. My reservations about the curve and OLED panel for professional use have been put to bed quickly also. I make sure to turn the panel off or run the panel refresh everytime I’m leaving my desk, if I forget the maintenance option to do it on standby is fantastic and Ive yet to experience anything in the form of retention or burn in. The panel health is green. I’ve reinstated screen savers as well which is moved away from. The coating on the display adds pop to the contrast, color. It’s quite nice and I can say that many of the reviews stating issues with ambient light must have some crazy high levels. I’m in a non enclosed flex space, fairly bright natural and artificial lighting coming in. I do have some control of the natural light with curtains but not black out level. Artificial lighting is bright LED surface mount lighting overhead in the ceiling, very bright. I don’t get the terrible purple hue or distracting levels of reflections mentioned in most reviews. Only when the panel is completely off can I see the purple tint of the coating from certain angles. Gaming is next level now, with the image quality from the OLED, deep inky blacks, high refresh (can confirm faster than my IPS at the same 165hz) and also the resolution much easier to push with a mid range card than anticipated. I’m loving it! I’m using a mix of display port and hdmi between two systems and it’s been fantastic across my use case. Really nice to have the additional width for productivity and game immersion. The curve took a little bit of getting used to for work but I’ve fully adapted to it. I don’t think I could ever go back to the IPS or VA panels without some really good FALD, and even then the OLED sweeps up in response time … it’s perfect.

Great monitor for 1440p a little on the heavy side it had a hard time on my dual stacked monitor stand so I put it on bottom worked well the base that comes with it is very wide so it takes up a lot of space but the color is nice and crosshairs come in handy on shooting games brightness is excellent would recommend I got it on a open box but great price my first oled monitor but would recommend this monitor if your looking for a specific 1440p oled screen it has different modes for different situations such as night time dark areas at night time are lit up to be visible and thermal vision as well as a few other settings it has a changeable led setting that can change to a few colors nothing super special simple and one color I use purple to match my white black and purple setup 10/10 would recommend for a ultra wide 1440p oled

This Alienware AW3423DWF monitor is simply the best monitor I have ever used/viewed. First off, it's very easy to assemble out of the box. No tools required. You get everything you need to connect it to your PC or laptop. It comes with a display port cable, a USB-C to display port cable, and a USB cable. Make sure your desk has room, because the stand has a large footprint. Luckily I have a monitor stand, which allows me more room on the desk. When I first set it up, I noticed the screen was glossy, and I immediately thought I was going to have an issue with glare, but surprisingly, that was not the case. Not only does it have minimal glare, the colors, and especially the black look ridiculously amazing. Having a very nice 27" gaming monitor prior to this, it was almost like back in the day(I'm old, lol) when you switched from VHS to DVD. Everything is crystal clear and the colors are amazing. There is ZERO bleed through on the black which in my experience with gaming monitors has never been the case. With a 0.1 millisecond response time and 165 Hz refresh rate, you are basically guaranteed a lag free, zero ghosting, insane gaming experience, granted your GPU is up to the task. Overall I love this monitor, and would highly recommend it.
