I needed a laptop for regular work and hobby video and photo editing. I had been eyeing several gaming laptops but ultimately this one won my heart. I have had it for around 1.5 weeks and am impressed. Very fast and the keyboard is a dream to type on for me.

I had an Asus before, and this is light years ahead. I know everyone’s craps on Dell and Alienware as a whole…but it’s a solid laptop. I travel a lot for work so it’s definitely gotten some good use.

I have kept the laptop in pristine condition the past two years. Recently, I took the laptop in to be serviced because its screen wasn't turning on (for some reason they won't explain) and they are trying to charge me $700 to repair the laptop. INSANE. You would think when a customer spends this much money at their store, they would try to treat them well and keep them happy. Nope. I will never buy a laptop from here again.

The screen glitches alot, it turns the touchpad off by itself all the time, I have had many technical issues but the worst one is when the laptop will randomly not turn on for weeks at a time. It’s never had water damage or anything like that & I’ve only ever used it to play sims with no mods or CC.

Keyboard gets a bit hot in game and the fans can get loud but i can deal with this. When not in game and not pushing the graphics card it is quiet and cool. Really like it over all.

Doubles as a heater & white noise machine

I noticed the bottom left side of the display wasn't fully on and had a gap that was making noise. I still wanted to try the laptop out to know if I should return or exchange it. After doing all the updates required I left the laptop to run idle for about an hour on the "balanced" thermal profile. I had not installed anything other than updates. The fans were spinning at 85% due to the profile settings and the idle temp was 96%. After a good hour of research I learned this laptop has no "quiet" mode like others do. It's either the balanced or full power modes, so, basically it's either "hot & loud" or "hotter & louder", which was unacceptable. I will say the laptop has a really nice display and the keyboard was a joy to use. The trackpad is small and gets annoying once the laptop starts heating up.

With the turbo fan mode and the volume control on the side makes it feel well planned in the design. This model is equiped with available 2x ddr4 slots and a 360hz 1920/1080 display. I would rather have the 4k but the high refresh is better for most situations. In heating, I rarely got any hot temps. Even with mining crypto it got to only 65 in a cold room
