This is the most comfortable and easy to use and carrie gaming laptop

A 16-inch monitor gaming laptop sits in the sweet spot of gaming laptops for those who prefer gaming experience over portability: it’s not too big and definitely not small. It’s just a gaming laptop as it should be: large enough screen with powerful specs. Sometimes we want to go for portability but we may not want a laptop with small screen because when playing RPG titles, we want to immerse ourselves in the game. Large screen matters. When we play RTS games, we want the map to be expansive enough so we don’t spend too much time scrolling the screen. So, 16-inch monitor is the way to go and it is still a good size for portable gaming. For me personally, I wouldn’t go beyond 16-inch size for gaming laptop if we consider portability an important factor. The Alienware M16 gaming laptop looks elegant and not too flashy. There are LED lights on the front part of the laptop that clearly sets its identity as a gaming laptop, but the LED lights are not too distractive and overwhelming. Gamers would instantly know that this is an Alienware product from the illuminating Alienware logo, which is kind of cool. You can control the LED lights from the software. I also like the dark metallic color, which bears the impression of premium and professional laptop and most people who doesn’t know about Alienware would probably see it as a business laptop. So how does this machine perform for both games and work? It lives up to the Alienware brand very well indeed. This is a laptop that can tackle the most recent AAA titles and is a capable machine for video editing and business use. Being a 16-inch machine, this is also a great business laptop that can display more information in a page from your spreadsheets and open some multi windows without getting the information looking too crammed. The laptop is packed with great specs, not the greatest out there but still great nevertheless. Let’s start with some basic info on the specs: Intel 13700HX Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 with 8GB VRAM 240 Hz QHD monitor 16 GB DDR5 RAM 1 TB SSD FHD IR camera/ windows hello compatible One important thing to note about the RTX 4070 is the supports for DLSS 3.0, which is kind of a big deal these days. Recent titles that support DLSS 3.0 include Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy. That means this laptop can greatly improve the frame rate of your games even when you max out the settings and leave the ray tracing options on. Of course, with the xx70 series of RTX GPU, the recommended maximum resolution is QHD, which typically matches the spec of the built-in monitor. As in the case of any gaming laptop, the laptop will feel very warm when playing AAA games at the highest setting. If you’re an e-sport player, you would have no problem dialing down the graphics setting of the game to squeeze more frame rates. In which case your 240hz G-Sync laptop’s monitor will have no problem following the frame rates in sync as it reaches >165 fps. Game runs well thanks to the powerful spec. Expect better and smoother performance than console gaming experience and previous Nvidia RTX xx70 laptop GPUs with all settings max out, ray tracing options on and DLSS 3.0. In terms of upgradeability, this laptop has 4 SSD slots with 1 already being installed from the factory. It supports up to 9 TB of SSD storage. You can also upgrade the 2 available RAM slots to 64GB of DDR5 memory (2x32GB). In terms of ports, it got plenty ranging from 2 Type-C Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, USB Type A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1 and Mini Display port 1.4, SD Card slot, Ethernet port and audio jack. That’s enough ports for your gaming peripherals and even for connecting external hard drive. I always like a laptop with built-in SD card slot as it simplifies the steps when transferring files from my cameras. Connecting the laptop to an external display is easy through its Mini Display port so you can still enjoy high frame rates gaming through an external monitor. The built-in monitor is already capable of supporting up to 240 fps and has fairly low latency at 3ms. Achieving 1ms latency is possible when using an appropriate external monitor. One huge thing that is missing here is the convenience of charging the laptop from a USB-C GAN charger through the USB-C port although you can use the said port to charge your phone, which is rated at up to 15w of power delivery. Battery performance is average at best as gaming laptops are the worst in battery life. Being a gaming laptop, performance stability is important. It’s typical for a gaming laptop to drop performance in a long gaming session when all graphics settings are maxed out. Alienware’s cooling solution to tackle the problem seems effective. The machine will still get warmer and the fans will spin more audibly, but this is normal for every gaming laptop. Bottom line is, this is a great 16-inch gaming laptop.
