Do not buy.

All these amazing specs just to be a pile of hot garbage. It seems like alot of these high end laptops have issues. I was upset with the alienware brand when they have always been at the top. When it ran it was perfect. Then the screen went.

Stay away

The Qualcomm wifi 6E cards are garbage. I'm not sure why Dell consistently skimps out on quality hardwrare fotheir flagship alienware gaming device. Performed a wipe of the device because Dell loves to fill up their machines with unnecessary and useless bloatware. Had to download all of the drivers from a different device because the wifi did not work. Once installed all necessary drivers, it took forever to download and install windows and dell updates. Restarted the devoce and thats when the problems happened. Wifi speeds were extremely slow. I pay for 1.2 gigs of download speed and this was not even breaking 10 megs. Checked on a different devoce and all was notmal. Plugged in the device because the battery was low and noticed the wifi was notmal. Unplugged again as a test and back garabage speeds. Contacted Dell and of course they have the worst tech support. Most of them dont know anything and their suggestion was to send it in for servicing. No troubleshooting, no suggestions on how to fix, nada! Only answer was to send a brand new device for servicing . I said no way. This piece of junk going right back to Best Buy. I ended up googling the issue and according to Reddit, this garbage qualcomm wifi card on these devices are basically setup to run at 100% on battery power and basically cut the speed when off of battery to save battery consumption which is unheard of. What if im at the airport and dont have access to a power outlet? Im stuck with slow wifi speeds because sell decided to put a setting in order to save battery life? Unbelievable. Anyways tried to adjust some power settings reddit advised but nothing worked. I thought about switching out the wifi catd to an intel wifi 6E NGW AX410 but not sure if this would have carried over. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. Also these qualcomm wifi cards are complete garbage. Dell needs to do better on their $2700 mid ranged gaming laptop. I would stay far away from this piece of junk. Better options ouit there.

I regret this purchase.

I’ve already sent it to Dell for a two-week fix on the power supply. Now I can’t use face recognition to sign in or create a pin. When I editing videos the screen flashes and I lose my work. This happens every 10 minutes or so. Many other annoyances. Spent a lot of money on this and I am not at all happy with this purchase.

Multiple crashes from thermal throttling and w key stopped working. Pretty sad had high expectations for a premium product from a reputable brand. Geek Squad informed me there was nothing they could do to help as I bought it through Best Buy and has a 1 year manufacturer warranty, however, they don’t have it in their system. Going through manufacturer now. Hopefully it can be fixed

GO ANOTHER ROUTE

The glitch where it goes to sleep and the screen refuses to come back online requiring hard reset. The toolbar glitches at the bottom constantly. Now I’m getting a G-Sync non compatible error on the screen requiring restart to fix. It’s just a massive waste of $2000+. You’d be better off trying another option. Based on online forums, this is a common theme with Alienware. Terrible terrible terrible experience.

STAY AWAY FROM OPENBOX

Using the TCC Offset Controller:
1. Controller is located in BIOS under CPU Management.
2. User can set TCC Offset value between 0 and 15
3. TCC Offset 0 = 100C Max CPU Temp
4. TCC Offset 15 = 85C Max CPU Temp
5. This feature, when available, impacts all USTT profiles.
6. This means that if the user were to change the value, it would be applied to Balanced, Cool, Quiet, and Performance Modes.

Complete waste of money

Thermal Nightmare

The Laptop overheats at idle; think 89 degrees when doing nothing and easily goes upto a 100 and beyond on games from 7 years back. They know this and yet are circulating them for some reason.

Major Problems with Screen, QC problems

After a few weeks it started to have major problems with the screen. The screen would tear when I moved the screen at all and then black out. Clearly a hardware issue, likely a loose or bad cable. Not good quality control. Now I have to return it. Plan on doing that tomorrow. First Alienware, and will be the last. Going back to Asus. My last Asus gaming laptop is still working and its 8 years old.

Good looking not very good performing

However on Cod MW 2 it would run the game but after one match it would crash the computer. After updating everything I could it would continue with the same issue. Contacted Dell however they were unsuccessful at giving me a fix.

Faulty laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The system was purchased in Sept-2023, since then it has a multiple problems (battery drainage, random rebooting, freezing screen, flickering screen). The motherboard was replaced, system board was replaced, windows was reinstalled couple of times. And.....surprisingly it still randomly reboots, and when you close the lid after long work hours, in the morning you will find out that the battery drained to 0 or the blue screen.
