Best Bargain
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price performance ratio, this is a no brainer. The i9-13900hx is last gen, but it still screams and with thunderbolt to boot (no usb-4 on AMD 7945hx or 7845hx). With $250 best buy rewards price down to $1449. Where can you purchase a GTX 4080 with i9-13900hx for that?

Amazing Device!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a beast of a laptop this is! I bought it on an open-box sale they had and it was worth every penny. The keyboard is the best keyboard I've typed on a laptop, including my MacBook Pro. The screen is beautiful! I will say that it can get loud when gaming but I think that's normal for a gaming laptop that has a smaller chassis compared to a desktop (obviously). I really like the Windows Hello built-in. The speakers are okayish. They lack bass but its loud enough in my opinion. The battery life for a gaming latop is alright, at least to me. It will get about 3ish hours on battery if you're doing light stuff. I've read that some people play games without plugging in their gaming laptops and complain about the battery life which I think is kind of weird to say as these type of devices chug on power. Anywho, I will say that I wish it had another usb-a connection on the right side because it looks like Dell could have fit one there. I managed to install a 64 GB kit of RAM in it, it's great tbh. The 4080 in this machine is amazing, I've been able to run everything in Ultra/Max settings for nearly every game I throw at it, which includes Hogwarts Legacy, The Last of Us, Starfield, CoD MW2 (2022), Spiderman, RE4 Remake, just to name a few. The Ryzen 9 is such a beast as well, it handles everything it throw at it really well and fast. I highly recommend this device if you are in the market for a gaming laptop. One last thing is that this laptop will come with the beefy 330w charger brick which weighs more than the laptop imo.

Loud until you activate quiet mode
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was getting ready to return this today because when you boot up a game it sounds like an XF-84H taking off! Luckily I did a quick google search and found that the laptop should have but didn't have the Alienware Command Center installed. I installed it and I forced quiet mode for all applications and now I'm running Baldur's Gate 3 at 100fps on High with 0 Issues. The rest of the computer feels very sturdy and I don't fear it breaking in my bag if it's dropped or stepped on. The bottom of the unit and the top are metal, the interior looks and feels like a tough plastic with some sort of coating on it and the keyboard. The speakers are goofily placed on the sides which if you are in a cubicle I suppose it would work but my desk is in the open so the sound shoots off to the walls that are 5 feet away so it's less than desirable. Other than that the screen is vibrant, the colors on and around the unit are vivid and customizable. She looks and feels premium and I am now happy with my purchase after making the fans settle down a bit.

Outstanding for both gaming and productivity!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is built like a tank and just feels solid. It has a very sleek rubberized metal frame that has zero give or flex while typing. The keyboard is very nice, you can customize the RGB of each key individually. Good display, perfect resolution and great response on the panel for gaming, not quite as smooth as an OLED display but surprisingly pretty close with no ghosting that I could see. The internal fans cool very effectively and even on max settings aren't crazy loud though propping up the laptop on a stand that allows airflow helps cooling considerably. I have been using this thing for both gaming and audio production tasks and it's a champ though I did need to upgrade the RAM. Rest assured I'm running two sticks of Corsair Vengeance ddr5 4800mhz 32GB for 64GB total system memory and it's stable as can be. This system is a beast and Dell has really outdone themselves with it.

Very beefy, just watch the temps
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very beefy laptop, can handle absolutely anything u throw at it with ease, but because of that you have to be mindful of the temperature. If u throw a AAA game with maxed out settings then better watch those temps go up into the 90s. So if u plan on making it endure heavy loads for long periods invest in a cooling pad. If ur conscientious about it then lower the settings a smidge the laptop will have no trouble.

Great gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a hard-core gamer, this is a wonderful machine with fast graphics processor! Love the color LED keyboard… only negative is the monster power pack that you have to lug around if you’re using more than an hour.

You want a sick gaming laptop with RTX 4080? read
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop open box, First time i buy an alienware. I fell in love with the sturdy build, I really love the fact that they use finger print resistant material. Sound system is superb for a laptop. When you game a heavy game the fans kick off loud but not annoying like most laptops, It's almost like soft whistling, You can literally tell Dell a.k.a Alienware put some serious effort in the build quality of this laptop. Specs are awesome, i was worried it won't be powerful enough cause RTX 4080 laptop edition GPU is strangely limited to 12GB GDDR6 and it's not fair but hey it works really well honestly.

Great performance in a somewhat portable package.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son requested this…got a good sale price, but ended up opting for an open box one. This replaced a 6 yo Alienware laptop, and it’s like night and day. Doesn’t outperform a desktop, of course, and when pushed, fans are noisy, but the performance is outstanding. It blows away my Ryzen G15 - but it should, I paid less than 1/2 the price for that one. Build quality seems excellent, his only complaint is that he wasn’t familiar with Windows 11 and would have preferred 10. Not the slimmest/quietest laptop out there, but was never intended to be. Can’t really judge the battery life since it’s always plugged in, but I’m guessing most purchasers won’t care - it won’t perform as well on battery, and since you are paying for performance, I’m guessing this stays plugged in for most buyers. Thrilled with the purchase.

So far no problems at all runs amazing. As some have stated the battery life isnt the greatest but i didnt buy it for the battery. Also caught it on sale so definitely can not complain. Love the ability to add more storage an better Ram.

Absolute Beast!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing out of the box. I went with an open-box version, and it's working great. Awesome build quality, easily upgradeable (upgraded to 32gb RAM), and is aesthetically pleasing. Temps are normal, no coil wine, and easily get 165+fps on extreme settings for MWIII. Best gaming rig ive ever owned. The only negative is I'm not the biggest fan of the Alienware Command Center (AWCC). Feels half the time, and slow. Other than that, the machine and its performance are spectacular. Also: Charging brick is big, but not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Dell/AW has a smaller one that can be purchased from their website or Amazon if it's a dealbreaker.

Unreal Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a powerhouse without using all the power. My main desktop runs a well outfitted 13900k with a 4090 on an ek liquid cooled loop. The desktop benchmarks are more than double, but during gameplay with both the laptop and desktop settings maxed its difficult to see the difference in any game I've thrown at it even when set to ultra. Whats more, is its still very compact and only slightly heavier than an average 16" laptop.
