Your laptop will have Backlight Bleeding, and your laptop has a 50/50 chance of getting a finishing coat on the paint along with stripped screws. It really sucks you can't buy a product nowadays without making compromises. I really would like to return my third one, but I feel like no matter what I'll get a defective unit. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE OCD. Amazing thermals and performance, best in class. The engineers did a spectacular job designing this laptop, it stinks that it is ruined by the manufacturing quality..

We have noted the details of your statement and will use them to improve current and future products. Below I have provided troubleshooting steps to help resolve your issue.
Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.

Best Gaming Laptop I've Tried So Far
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always found Alienware to be the best gaming PC so I had high expectations for this one before I even opened the box. Looks wise I love the color scheme (this is subjective though). While not being obscenely heavy this laptop does have a good solid weight to it. Setup was pretty easy (just a little time to allow updates but that process was seamless and fast). Performance wise without getting into all of the technical jargon (because it will be covered repeatedly throughout the reviews on here so it really will just be repetitive) it has run smoothly over the last 4-5 days that I have been using it. I do intend to upgrade the RAM but as is I haven't experienced any issues playing any labor intensive games on it. It does get warm but not too hot (I would still use a cooling pad but that's mainly out of habit for me). The 4 cooling fans it has aren't annoyingly loud like I have experienced in other gaming laptops with only 2 fans so that was a pleasant surprise. Graphics have looked outstanding for every game I have played so far. The 17in display is probably one of the best I have ever used in a gaming laptop. Some have mentioned light bleeding but I have not noticed that. The only minor con I can think of so far is the lack of a number pad but honestly it's not a huge deal. Just a little surprising to not have it on a 17in laptop. Overall, this is definitely a great option for a gamer that wants a robust and portable system with a quality build

When I first got it I had a pixle that was out and I could not fix it by any techniques I found on the internet. I notified DELL and they came out and replaced my entire monitor! Such an awesome computer. This is my first windows computer in many years!

I purchased the Alienware laptop for my business laptop and so far it has been perfect. Some day I may even load a couple of games as I shift to retirement.

I was a little hesitant only because I wanted a fully specked out laptop, but this one has been excellent. I have had no issues with this X17 and delivery was lightspeed compared to Dell. I am very satisfied with this laptop.
