Alita: Battle Angel [Includes Digital Copy] [Blu-ray/DVD] [2019] is a very great underrated. movie. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron, how can you go wrong. This copy comes in DVD, Blu-ray and Digital formats. With the digital I can watch the movie anywhere and not worry about dragging my discs around. The visuals are so life like. The bonus features have information about how the character Alita came to life. After first watching this movie I knew I had to add it to my movie collection

If you like SyFy ... annnd ... If you missed seeing this movie on the big screen ... it was AWESOME! Not to worry though, you can get the Blu-Ray DVD and watch it on (hopefully) your REALLY BIG screen t.v. at home. Plus, you get the added 'bennies' of the extras. This movie IS NOT to be missed. And once you watch it, if you want to see prequels/sequels you need to 'voice up' and be heard. C'mon James Cameron "make some more and we will come!" Ok, yes ... sorry ... modifying "Field of Dreams" ... a bit.

This Blu-ray and DVD combo was a good value at Best Buy. I enjoyed the movie at lot at the theater, and I would recommend giving it a try. The Blu-ray video and sound quality are excellent. The sub-menus were easy to use. The Blu-ray doesn't have those annoying previews, so you can go straight to the "setup and play" menu and begin watching the movie. The extra "behind the scenes" interviews about the movie's background was very interesting, and I was pleased to learn that the director and producers tried to remain faithful to the original Japanese manga, even trying to incorporate specific manga pictures into movie scenes. This was a very underrated film, in my opinion, and the Blu-ray or DVD is well worth watching.

I went into this film knowing nothing about the source material and came out really wanting to see more. It's full of heart at its core with some really impressive action sequences through out the film. The film has a stellar cast of people who genuinely seem invested in the roles they were given. I would highly recommend this film to anyone and grade this overall at A-. I hope they make another one as I very much want to see where the series could go next.

Filled with real heart, gorgeous design, heart-pounding action, a thrilling, beautiful film score, a great cast and, most importantly, Alita herself. She is not just a special effect. Alita is a fully realized character that you will fall in love with from the moment she opens her eyes. An incredible film from start to finish! Bring on a sequel!

I'f you've ever read the manga or watch the animated movie then you'll love this live edition. Galy or alita is found in the junk yard below zyon. This cyborg is reconstructed and ready to battle. Learning to adjust to her new life, not remembering any thing from her old. Alita battles evil henchmen, cyborgs and corrupt administrators while finding new joys and sorrows in the dark city. Get ready to battle...Alita is.

I enjoyed this DVD very much. Great A I . Will be getting the second movie

This is a high-action film. Lots of “violence”. But no real blood and guts. Any violence is seen after-the-fact as in a cyborg having a blue blood bleeding nose. Probably not recommended for the youngest of kids but will impress and delight most audiences. It has a touch of the romantic in it as well as the unfolding mystery of one with amnesia in a dystopian future. It also concludes with a nice setup for sequels.

As a fan of the original manga I was skeptical about this film but my trust in Robert Rodriguez kept me interested. It ended up being actually pretty good. There's a lot of shots taken straight from the pages of the manga and Alita is such a genuine character. I loved the fact that it glorified her as a hero first and never shoved any sort of agenda down your throat. A story about strength and vulnerability that speaks a great deal about trust and honestly. I hope there is a sequel to this film and I'll look forward to if that happens. With such a great deal of sources material available, I'd hate to see this story left unfinished.

I did not think this was going to be a great movie. But, I ended up loving it because of the character and the action. Alita is endearing and you want to root for her every step of the way. The action in this futuristic sci-fi movie is not over the top. It is just enough to keep the moving exciting and interesting. But, if you are looking for a blood fest, this is not your movie.

An action packed thriller the female heroine is angel fallen from the stars. If you like anime and strong female leads this is definitely the movie for you

Good movie that I think is trying to set up sequels, but without that guarantee they should have expanded on certain elements, such as what is the Utopia above really like? Who/what is Ed Norton? Why did Alita's friend want to be in the above world so badly? Some other plot devices: just happen to have one extra body for Alita, the ship from Mars happened to still be fully operational, some of the underdeveloped bad guys. Also Earth isn't that bad of a place to live in the movie... a few issues aside it's a good movie and they develop Alita very well.

I really enjoyed this movie because it told a moving, human story without excessive cgi. Technically, the color and cinematography were superb and acting throughout from Christopher Waltz, Jennifer Connelly and Rosa Salazar as Alita were outstanding, as were the performances from the rest of the cast. It is what it is. Enjoy it for that and you won't be disappointed.

The movie arrived sooner than tracking said, I'm happy with that and the movie was every bit as good as I'd hoped. They stayed true to the book this episode is drawn from and major elements of the book are in the movie. If you are a fan, as I am, you will love the movie and be left thirsting like a lost traveller in the desert for the next Alita Battle Angel movie #2!

I didn't see this movie at the theaters, but the trailer got my attention & looked like the type of movie I would like. Then I relied on many of the great reviews. So, I bought it & don't regret it. It really is a really good movie, has lot's of great action, fighting & a good story line as well. So all in all, I loved it & really enjoyed watching this movie.

I previously watched this movie. I personally loved it. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the Blu-ray version was perfect for the CGI presentation on my 4K tv. My kids both enjoyed watching it for the 1st time. I love James Cameron and could feel the sense of story as in Avatar. Definitely a great buy.

Enjoyed the movie when I saw it in the theater. I was drawn in by Aleta’s beautiful big eyes as they kept me captivated throughout the movie. I was also struck by the sweet innocence of Aleta’s expressions and enthusiasm to new experiences, very refreshing. Cameron once again did a fabulous job. Looking forward to possible sequels.

Great sci-fi film. I don’t think it made a huge splash when it premiered, but I think it is excellent. Great action and spectacular special effects. Highly recommended.

This is a fun, action-packed film with incredible visual effects and CGI work that give this film a beautiful setting and background. Hopefully there will be more - like maybe a trilogy. And they couldn't have cast Alita more perfectly, even if her on-screen form is completely digital. Great movie. Tons of fun. Don't miss it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I thought that it was amazing. The movie has everything. Action, good plot, and the technical aspects of the film are great as well.
