Physical media is so hard to find these days. However, Best Buy saved the day with this original copy of Alita Battle Angel on Blu-ray. A great movie if you like the genre.

So, this comes with every HD version, no DVD, but who cares. I got it for the 3D, after reading rave reviews this films 3D. I haven't seen any the other versions, so this is based SOLELY on the 3d version. The 3D is in fact, AMAZING in this film (Ava-who?!??!) What took me by surprise (I mean, it's James Cameron, I expected great 3D, though it exceeding those expectations greatly, and a visually stunning film) was the actual story content. This is a legit great movie. I actually felt for the characters,and cared about the story line. I hope there's a sequel. I'm not even into the source material.

To summarize Alita: Battle Angel simply and succinctly: This movie is totally amazeballs! This may be the best looking film of the decade. It is truly an impressive world. It manages to duplicate the distinct look of the manga. This movie takes place in a futuristic dystopia, but it is kind of a fun lawless Wild West-type instead of the many dystopias today that take themselves too seriously. There's sort of an 80's pop sci-fi aesthetic to the whole thing. There are a lot of cyborgs in this and they're all so unique-looking. Alita's engraved porcelain-ish body is a particularly nice touch.

Purchased as this movie the 4k also came with the 3D version. This was to test the 3D capabilities of recently purchased projector. The film and 3D not disappoint. Visually stunning film that utilized the capabilities of 3D and stark contrast. Excellent buy from Bestbuy.

I went to the theater to watch this one. Its I big dose of eye candy with a story that strings along beside the action. That being said it looks fantastic on 4k and sounds amazing as well. Definitely feels like I'm reliving the theatrical experience at home. So, many details are popping out at me as the heavily CG characters and backgrounds are so rich and full of details. It has been fun to revisit! The neat thing on this packaging is that it includes all the formats 4k, 3D, blu ray, digital. Ita nice to be able to buy one item that includes every format you may want to watch it in.

If this is your kind of movie, than you will enjoy this one! The effects are great, and the story is pleasant enough. I usually buy the 3D movies and hang on to my 3D TV. Hopefully it will be back...

You can feel the love and passion that was put on into this project! James Cameron (director of juggernaut movies like terminator 2 and avatar) was heavily involved in the production and direction of the movie, he wanted to make something his granddaughters would look up to (female lead) like us boys grew up looking up the the terminator. This movie does have its flaws tho, love story doesn’t really feel strong, the story at times doesn’t make sense the way it’s going, there are just soooooo many plot holes that I hope they do a prequel to. It is definitely worth the time to watch

Not all 4K physical media version of movies are created equal. In this case, Alita: Battle Angel looks so good, it might as well be a tech demo of what 4K movies can look like on physical media. Even the Blu-ray looks incredible. As for the actual movie itself, it's one of my favorites from 2019 (that's right, I said it).

I love the story and finally picked up my copy today and finished watching it at the comfort of my home. One of the best films I truly enjoy and would never tire of watching it. The cast, story, special effects is amazing. I ordered another Alita Battle Angel SteelBook to give as a gift and I'm sure my friend will really enjoy it. I hope they make a sequel and release it soon.

The CGI and live action are seamless as would be expected with today's movie making techniques but what sets this apart is the realistic and very engaging "look" of the lead character. Never before has an animated face been so expressive. The 3D disc is superb in its lack of ghosting and good color. This is one for the demos to friends, especially, the motorball scenes. Plot-wise it's typical Cameron with its blend of action, character and derivative story line making one feel like you've heard it all before but don't let that stop you. It's not to be missed.

This move was such a surprise. I didn't see much promotion so I didn't know what I was in for when I seen it. I felt it had a great story line and it was very well put together. This felt like a top notch high budget file (it might be) so I was surprised I didn't know much about it before seeing it. I first seen it at the movie theater and after that day I've been waiting for its Blu-ray release. I did the pre-order for 3d copy to make sure I got mine. Its movies like this that keep me buying 3d and praying my tv doesn't go out on me and loose that option.

I really enjoyed this movie from start to finish, the visuals are stunning, story is great and Rosa Salazar's performance from body to expressions are captured at the best, her acting is solid. It was done right! Honestly I didn't know anything about Alita before the movie (never been a fan of manga) and as other movies that I found later they were based on video games or comics characters, this just caught my attention when I saw the trailer for the first time. This is probably my favorite movie so far this year, I hope there will be a sequel.

Enjoyed this movie. Brings the same enjoyment as with the viewing of Avatar. Like the story line as well. The ending is fantastic, now can not wait for the sequel. Going to the Sky city. Hopefully there will be a sequel. The graphics are very well done and sometimes I can not tell when the actual and the computer graphics begin, then again I wonder. Great Movie a must see. I brought the online version first , but got the actual copy because of the 3D. Is 3D going out... what a waste, it was nice... Maybe make movies in Hologram form... the future ...

The disks and code all played well/worked as expected. I personally love the film; the animations, the setting, and how even without having seen the source material, you can tell something is afoul. . Slight SPOILERS AHEAD! . . . . . . . . . This is part 1 of an unconfirmed(it’s not currently planned to be made) multi-part film series, so you’re kinda left at a cliffhanger of expectancy, leaving you(me specifically) sorta stunned thinking, ‘you mean I’ve gotta wait until they make another one!?’ (Or I suppose one could find the source anime/manga)

I remember seeing previews for this movie thinking it could be good, but I was on the fence and bought it on a whim. It turns out to be a surprisingly good movie. The doctor finds Alita and implants her with his daughter's likeness not knowing she was a former battle droid. There are several emotional connections in the movie that drive the plot forward while Alita discovers her past and learns to fight like a warrior along the way. This movie is recommended for action and science fiction fans as well as anyone who like a good story.

I won't go into how great this movie is. Most of you already know... but this version is absolutely the best. It includes a 3D disc. How many movies include a 3D disc these days? The "system" has decided for us that 3D isn't important, but James Cameron says different. You can thank him for this decision and for making this movie so awesome !! If you haven't seen this movie and are thinking of it, just buy it. You won't be disappointed. This is the very best movie of the year and the best Blu-ray of the year! That's my review!

This movie is fantastic. I love the steelbook easily one of the best art works I’ve seen on one, surprisingly though it had a matte finish, which worked well. It comes with a 3D version as well but that’s expected of James Cameron. What wasn’t expected was the inclusion of BOTH Dolby vision AND even HDR10+, the latter of which is rare. This was 20th century fox’s last hoorah before Disney. Which is good because many Disney blu rays as of late have been omitting DV, and they do not side with HDR10+ in that format war.

Whether or not you're a sci-fi fan or hate Alita's anime eyes- you have to admit that the things Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron accomplished with technology, and the world that they created, are AMAZING! Rosa Salazar shines as Alita and as much of that is owed to the animators of Alita's face as it is to Salazar's performance. It is completely a Rodriguez movie and his touch shines throughout. Here's to hoping for a sequel to see Salazar's innocent and brave Alita along with another enjoyable Rodriguez film.

I remember seeing the trailer for this film when it was originally released and thought it looke stupid but then I saw it on TV and loved it and wanted to add it to my film library. The blu ray has good picture and sound and it was well worth the purchase price. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Alita Battle Angel is one of the best movies of 2019. The action scenes, the characters, world, music, and pacing all make this movie a must see for any movie fan. It's a nearly perfect film and I would really like to see a sequel someday that goes more into the other stories of this character. -Slentay
