installed this on a corolla 94 sedan. powered by an Alpine KTP-445U power pack and a heading unit by Pioneer MVH-X370BT. the sound is very nice, The installation on the corolla was not a true drop in and needed some modifications made on mounting it on the OEM speaker mount. but other than that, the sound is clear, vocals and instruments are well defines. it take a while before the speaker opens up. (break in). it took me about a 8 to 10 hours before the speakers sound good. the tweeter uses benic capacitors which i think are audio grade caps.

Way to expensive,and the quality is not that great

Fitted my suburban with full alpine system. The coaxial and component 6.5 speakers are some of the best i've ever heard. I have an infinity sound system in my accord from Honda and the alpine blows it away......crisp treble...deep bass....helps I have the sub....but crystal clear......even better with CD or I pod playback.....it sounds as if you are in a theatre. Highly recommend!!!

I had these speakers installed in my 2002 Honda Civic to replace the factory speakers with the hope of better sound. These speakers are much better than factory speakers but do require an amp to get the most out of them. I recommend these speakers, especially to those looking for a clearer sound. For those looking for thumping bass you will need a subwoofer.

Paired nicely with my Alpine amp. Crisp and clear tweeters and nice medium bass.

I recently bought these for the front two speakers on my 1997 ford escort. I had just replaced my stock rear speakers with Alpine SPS-517's but i wanted to change the front speakers as well. I went to put them in, and they fit perfectly snug, the door panel need a slight modification ( had to drill new screw holes because the bracket didn't line up) but they went in easily regardless. They sounds amazing! and are a million times better than my stock speakers.Definately worth the money, Alpine is a great manufacturer and they make a world of a difference.

Okay so the other day I purchased these and the install was a little difficult. I had to buy the 1/2 metra spacers to clear my door. But other than it was smooth sailing.. Packaged well, nice hardware included overall great sound and quality would highly recommend them to anymore.

Took less than a hour to install in my Silverado. Speakers sound great with aftermarket radio. Much better than stock. Will be buying another set for the front and adding a small amp to bring out the full potential of the speakers....

I installed these speakers in my Subaru Forester as an upgrade from some cheeper Kicker speakers I purchased online a while back. They are great speakers for someone passionate about sound quality, looking for characteristics such as; balanced highs mids and lows, good bass even without a sub, and low distortion. They are rather efficient so they work fine being powered directly off most receivers.

I tried to save money and bought the kenwood three way, but it was worthless. I then took them back and stepped up to this speaker. It was a wise decision as these speakers are very good. I think you will be very pleased with the warm, full and crisp sound. It won't overwhelm you, but you should be pleased overall.

i own a 2007 silverado crew cab and my door speakers went bad on me..alot of distortion, weak bass, left rear door speaker was completely blown..i bought a pair of these speakers to replace the front factory speakers and Im definetly buyn another pair for the rear...clean bass ,no distortion, and great mids. they are hooked up to my factory head unit...

Installed 4 of these speakers in my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer. Good highs and decent bass levels. Installation was easy with only minor mods to each factory speaker holder assy. Good sound and good price = satisfied customer.

I wanted a set of speakers that delivered a crisp yet deep, smooth sound. Nothing came close to these. And as good as they sounded in the store, they are twice as good in my vehicle. Very pleased!

I bought these to replace a brand new pair of Polks that were terrible. I am amazed by the sound they produce from only a 6.5" speaker, they sound larger than they are! These speakers have a solid and clear bass and remain clear turned up louder than I generally have any interest in. The mid's and treble are also excellent. I listen to many types of music and these speakers seem to handle it all. The sound has that full quality to it where it seems to fill the vehicle evenly without requiring excessive volume. They fit in my vehicle perfectly and had numerous mounting options to accomodate many vehicles. The mounting hardware was of good quality and it came with pre-made speaker leads for an easy and clean slide on connection. You should definitly buy these!

If your looking to upgrade from your non-premium factory/OEM car speakers then this is a GOOD replacement! Produces good highs & mids for the price! Only complaint... it lacks bass! If your looking for more bass then a subwoofer is recommended! Speakers are a bit bright in sound and do lack in producing the low frequency (bass). Overall, I am extremely satisfied with these Alpine Type-S speakers that replaced the factory speakers in my 2009 Honda Civic sedan. I am also running a Alpine 4 channel amp (Model KTP445U) that was installed by Geek Squad at my local BestBuy store to power the Alpine speakers. Also, running a 8in MTX subwoofer so the lack of bass from the Alpine speakers is being compensated by the 8in MTX sub. If your going to upgrade from your factory speakers, Alpine is the way to go! All your install needs can be done by Geek Squad.

Purchased four to replace my original factory installed speakers in my Durango. Great quality sound and the sale price was very reasonable.

I installed these speakers after I bought a new stereo for my 2007 Honda Accord. Overall, these speakers deliver a crisp sound and if I ever need speakers in another vehicle I will definitely buy these again!

I listened to 9 different brands and even Kicker, and when i listened to these Alpine's even with a nasty tear in the cone from someone trying to move the tweeter it sounded great.

Great speakers, clear sound with deep bass. Great fit for my truck.
