    significant improvement over factory speakers

Had these installed in my 2011 Hyundai Elantra, I was totally amazed by the clarity and the punch these had and I am only using the factory deck! Had to turn the treble to flat as these are so much brighter than the factory tweeters, still adding a little boost to the bass tho. I do recomment a professional install them as I was told the factory speakers are molded into the door panel and they had to cut them out. Someone at Hyundai is a real rocket scientist!

Although the young lad that helped me didn't know much about the products I knew what I was lookin for when I came in to the store. I read many reviews for many web sites and all gave 5 stars. After ordering the wiring kit and dood spacers and a little rigging for the tweeters in the dash to fit in factory slots 20 min of work and I was rockin. Good mids and hi is all good great sound . Added a 4X50 amp , bridged the back channel to a sup. got one rockin Honda ridgeline

Great Price For This Kind of Quality

I'm giving these five stars for value--I'm sure you can buy better speakers if you have a huge budget, but these really delivered on my more limited budget. I got two sets--front and rear doors. The Best Buy tech had to make some brackets to fit these in where my factory 5-1/4" speakers had been and he did a great job. They have a really nice wide range--I was surprised that the bass goes as low as it does since I'm not using a subwoofer with these. I had decided to try these out to see if I want to add a sub later, but I don't think that's going to happen now since these go pretty low without it. And that wouldn't mean a thing if the sound wasn't nice and crisp--I hate sloppy bass. The Sony deck I paired these with is delivering 55 watts per channel, and that's more than enough.

    Great upgrade over stock speakers

I got these for my Hummer H3 with Monsoon. I never really had a problem with the monsoon sound system, but i've always been a car audio advocate, so i had a few extra bucks... i decided to upgrade the speakers. Huge difference! much more crisp sound, and much louder. Highly recommended. Also, the speakers have built in crossovers, and the tweeters have crossovers that's wired in, and can easily be hidden. luckily, since i already have the monsoon system, the monsoon amp already has crossovers built in... so i didnt have to worry about any of that.

got these with infinity reference in the back. good sound and good quaility for price as well. ive owned both these speakers before but never as seperate pieces and they sound just like my old infinity 6.5 if not better. together with the infinity in back with these alpines up front with a 8inch sub/amps for both sets speakers/sub in a small hatchback sounds so good. definately worth the money for these speakers.

At full volume no distortion, made Stevie Ray sound great. Bass response is awesome for a 6.5. Remote tweeter puts the sound where it needs to be. Great value

    Honda Pilot Alpine Upgrade

Wanted to upgrade the sound system in my 07 Pilot and decided to add the Alpine components in the front, alpine 2 way in rear powered by the alpine power pack, isimple itrans and a kicker hide away sub and did not upgrade the head unit. The clarity is outstanding and the best part is the whole car looks as though it is stock. The kicker is hidden in the small compartment in the rear of the pilot. A bit pricey to have it all done but recommend adding the amp to the speakers to get the most out of them. I was impressed that a stereo could sound that well.

I love all of the install options that Alpine provides with these speakers - there are plenty of install options for just about any conceivable car configuration. They sound terrific - woofer is solid and the tweeters are clear and crisp. I don't drive them very hard, but I haven't gotten any distortion at any volume level I've tried. I'm very satisfied.

    Fantastic speakers

I bought these speakers in June 2012. These speakers are used in the front doors of my 2012 Colorado. These blow the stock speakers away. I also replaced the rear door speakers with the Alpine component speakers, and added an Alpine amp to go with a pair of old subs I had to complete the system. I might add I am still using the stock head unit, can't imagine what upgrading to an Alpine receiver would sound like. I definitely recommend!

    What a waste of 130$

If only i new what kind of speakers they are i would never would've purchased them. First i have an amp, and kicker 6x9 in the back the kickers are way better my friend have purchased the kickers for the front and they play perfect an awesome bass and the sound balances so i could go to the back and it will be the same thing. With these speakers the front sound terrible no bass at all, if i go to the back my sound experience will be 100x better which are the 6x9 kickers, and a person like me who is a music freak and likes to listen to some rap these are not the speakers you want to buy. Even though they are 130$ you are probably way better of buying the kickers which are 70$ which sound way better. This comment will be disturbing to some people but i have a Toyota Corolla S and the stock speakers for the front sound 100x better then these i did not buy this speakers because i blew my stock speakers but because i wanted a better sound in my car as well as my friends, very disappointed with this product probably will never buy another alpine speakers again.

techs suck, told them i needed 2 ohm, gave me this

best buy auto install techs at my location do not understand simple ohms law and impedence requirements of speakers and amplifiers. i think the just want to sell something. TWICE i have had to take items back because the techs dont listen... i actually had a tech question me... I told him get back in the shop, let me order what i need. later he admitted to the sales person i was indeed correct. who would think, there is a difference between 2 and 4 ohm loads. lol

    DO NOT BUY

Absolute worse speakers i have ever had in a car and that includes the stock ones that come in w/e car you may happen to have. Way overpriced for what you get. With the Alpine deck with a max volume of 35 you can not turn it past vol 9 - 12 depending on song. Any thing past this will result in very high pitch scratchy sounds coming from the tweeters and a awful sound coming from the woofers

    Ehhh...

I bought these because I blew a JBL I had used for years. I have the Monsoon sound option in my car with a factory amp and and Apline receiver. The amp is pretty light duty and since its a small cab its never a problem getting good sound in it. I was in a rush to find a replacement since I had mutilated the factory Monsoon speakers (I ended up going back to them as they are tuned right to the amp) when I took them out. They were adequate for about 14 months then one began to distort at lower intervals.I never really blasted the radio because my car isn't all that great and it's rare if the Monsoon amp ever hits even 70 RMS. For the price I thought they would last at least four years. I 'll keep using their receivers but not their speakers.
