This head unit is awesome it does everything i need it to do and more. Great sound quality and easy to operate

Great quality piece. Only feature lacking that makes this unit miss the 5 star mark is having a start-up volime setting. Whatever volume level you had it set to last is what its going to play at next time you start it.

Good value but would probably go for a higher priced/value next time. Disappointed with the restrictions on changing the setup - have to be in park with the e-brake on. Display esthetics are just ok. However, it did fix the bad reception i had with the original radio.

Installation done well and quickly. Car play provides ease of use for new driver

Okay system but not seamless. Phone call quality is terrible on both bluetooth and connected via USB. I normally use my iPhone's speaker for calls, not worth the effort to connect. Apple Car Play works fine however the radio randomly turns on if you aren't playing audio from your phone. Doesn't seem to have a radio off option. Music audio quality is good. Shows fingerprints and smudges on the screen. Definitely not worth the cost, I'm sure there are better systems out there. I also had to pay for an additional harness to maintain my existing backup camera. An additional USB port was installed that hangs in the console, it's the only way to connect. The original USB port and aux cable are now disabled. None of those issues were disclosed in purchase. Generally disappointed in the system.

This is a great head unit. The price was phenomenal for all that you get, I also save a good bit for purchasing an open box model in excellent condition. Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, adding a front camera and backup cameras. Syncs cable , the sound is better though I will be swapping out the speakers as well as add the matching Alpine KTA-450 amp which fits behind this shallow receiver . Very happy with Jeremy with his install and all suggestions.

Did everything I needed it to do, easy to use and install

Best Buy Geek Squad installed it in our 2009 Lexus ES350. It's a great improvement and will be thoroughly enjoyed for many years. The Apple CarPlay is amazing and it's so integrated with the steering wheel controls that it feels like a factory upgrade. Voice controlled navigation, texting, Spotify, and all the amazing controls work great. Now looking to upgrade the other vehicles in the near future.

My husband bought this for his truck. Everything works good and sounds good. Every now and then it glitches and makes a buzzing sound. No idea why it does that but other wise good to buy

The product itself has been working very well. The parking brake sequence to get into the settings mode is a bit tedious, but I don't go into that mode very often. I have occasional issues where my phone won't connect to the Bluetooth, but I have a feeling that is the phone and not this unit. I pretty much exclusively use Bluetooth and Android Auto. I wish the clock on the radio would sync with the time on my phone when it is hooked up. Android Auto is quite handy and I don't want another vehicle without it. The one downside is that it changed the chime in my truck, that apparently goes through the radio. It's slightly more obnoxious that the OEM tone, but nothing that I haven't gotten used to. Sound quality is as good as the OEM unit, maybe a touch better. But it's all still OEM speakers so there's probably room for improvement. I paid $300 for this unit. Apparently the cost has gone up to $550. At that price, I wouldn't have bought it. There are plenty of options closer to the $300 price point that would be adequate.

Ive always loved Alpine, they always produce great products. This stereo is almost exactly what I wanted. It does come with Android Auto, but it only works when you connect your phone through the chord. Wished they made it wireless. But it does have Bluetooth.

Great unit. Got it specifically for the CarPlay feature. Very happy with the purchase and the modern touch to our 04 Honda Pilot. It’s universal and should fit a majority of makes out there, of course, with having the proper parts needed to complete the install (dash kit, wiring harness). did the install myself since I do not trust local radio shops and the thought of them not using butt connectors properly (soldered everything to avoid loose connections). Once installed I noticed some features (with apple carplay) are not as seamless as I’d like, mostly with google maps, switching between pandora and Spotify. But it works and does a great job. Would definitely do it all over again.

Do it right with this HeadUnit. I had gotten a cheaper unit just to find out it didn't work or do what I wanted. Picked this Alpine up and it's got all the features, MAP with Android Auto or Apple Car Play, responsive touch screen, just works as it should, very happy with this head unit.
