excellent sound quality for the price it offers old reference

The alpine is easy to install, easy to use, instructions are well put together.

Good so far. Find a good wiring harness for easier connection. Got a module that kept steering wheel controls too. Apple Car Play is a big plus!

So the reason for my score is that the advertising on this was a bit misleading. I was under the impression that CarPlay would work via Bluetooth when that is not the case. CarPlay only works via USB on this. I was told after it was installed that another model for an extra $150 would support CarPlay via Bluetooth. Outside of that, this works fine. I still can’t figure out how to get the front camera working and I’m not a fan of the cones for the rear camera. There’s a lot of options for tuning the audio to your liking. Bluetooth calling works fines. I’ve put it to the test with both regular calls and conferencing apps like Zoom/Teams. Not super intuitive but it’s not exactly ikea furniture either. Overall it’s fine. Catch it on a Black Friday sale or something.

Screen bright and crisp. Radio nice feature large numbers tell you what radio station you are on. Touch mute button. Android working great. Hint: you have to have the right cable otherwise you will burn time trying to figure it out. Two volumes. One for what you are playing and one for maps. Excellent. Steering wheel buttons work with this unit. Touch screen interface nice and intuitive. 3 stars because back up camera not working. Locks up the unit. No customers support from alpine. In limbo right now, waiting for best buy to get back to me on this. Burned many hours trying to figure it out. Had to disable it. If it can be incorporated, 5 stars without a doubt. Have a Kenwood similar functions, alpine might win if cameras can be incorporated. If can't be worked out might return it. It is for my truck and need cameras.

Alpine’s slim design helps with cars that require additional wiring to retain factory equipment such as onstar and things of that nature. It is an awesome radio and really easy to use.

I have Apple Car Play in my Honda and wanted to have it in my wife’s 2004 van. I bought it to replace the original equipment radio which was just bad. The change worked out great. I love the touch screen. It is bright even in bright light and it is very responsive to touch. We had the rear camera installed and the screen looks beautiful. The sound is great. I’m glad we have it and my wife is really enjoying it. It was installed by Geek Squad and they did a great job.

Works great and a good price. The Geek Squad guys did a great job on the install. We are big fans of the Alpine product
