It’s overall a great radio just not the easiest to connect but once you get it it’s overall worth it

I got the new, super-sweet ILX-309 (pro installed) and couldn't wait to plug into my phone and see AA on it's glossy 9" screen...which was great but now, the honeymoon is over. I've had nothing but problems with AA and the Alpine head and I don't which one I need to go to for help...Android or Alpine. Has anyone encountered the same issues? Playing music or podcast on phone, then connecting to the car and it freezes until reset Takes forever to load if it does at all When AA freezes, you can't play phone audio through Bluetooth interface...stuck listening to the radio I've tried force stopping and deleting data on AA, deleting the ILX309 as a Bluetooth device in my phone, deleting my phone from the known devices in my ILX309's Bluetooth device list. And of course, deleting and reinstalling anything that might be related. It really sucks... I thought I was getting a top-of-the-line head unit but so far, it's been nothing but frustration. To add insult to injury, you have to hardwire via USB to use Android Auto...on their flagship head unit? What gives?! I would save your money and go with a less expensive or another brand altogether.

I had it hooked up for about a week and then it just stopped working. I can't figure out what's wrong with it but it won't even power up anymore. Complete waste of $800.

This store is shameful. They didn’t even send me all the parts that’s supposed to come in the box. I called & said they would send it & gave me a tracking number. It never showed up & the tracking number says it’s invalid. Don’t waste your time & money like I did !

I recently purchased this for my 2013 Kia Sorento and had best buy install it. After the first attempt the installer said I needed to order a different part for the hook up to work. ( We waited at best buy for over 2 hours). We ordered the other wiring harness part and took the truck back for round two of install. After the install was completed ( another 3 hours) . Mind you not the installers fault. We got home with the truck and found that the fader did not work. The stereo sounded like a transistor raid on the dash of my truck. The sound was the worst. We were going to try and get this corrected until the Back Up Camera started freezing up. At this point it was time for the stereo to come out again and we had to have our old unit put back into the truck. We let the installer know about the back up camera in hopes that they would not put it back out on the floor as an open box item. Was way to dangerous to re-sell. When the camera would freeze you just though things were not moving when in fact they were but with the camera frozen you could not tell.

I have a 2013 Acura RDX, a great car except for one thing. The car has the TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE a $3,500 option, which includes GPS Navigation, hard drive, voice recognition and so on. The system STINKS, WORST TECH PACKAGE EVER. When I complained to the dealer he did some digging and found that the package was designed and built by ALPINE, and I am just one of thousands of very disatisfied customers. Alpine used to be a top notch car stereo vendor NO LONGER. Save your money stay away from ALPINE.
