The pros: If you are on a budget this is the way to go! Great sound quality, easy to use functions. Has just about everything you can ask for with the aux plug, USB connection, Bluetooth and Bluetooth audio for wireless streaming from your phone. The cons: does not have hd radio and sometimes during phone calls people have complained about being able to hear me clearly and ask me to take it off Bluetooth but that is not often. Overall a good buy for the money.

This is a great radio for the price. This was bought for my truck to allow blue tooth connection to my phone and aux in for my iPod. It was very easy to install, and worked immediately. My only complaint is the user manual is laid out very poorly.

Was looking for a system that would be an easy swap out from an earlier radio from the same company. The Blu tooth works great. The swap out installation was very compatible and easy.

Great replacement radio with BT capability. It sounds great with the stock speakers but I'll be replacing those very soon for some really great sound. Nice looking with all the things I needed and relatively simple controls. Great installation support and tech support from the company via phone. I couldn't figure something out and they walked me through it.

This unit does what it says it will do.
Pros: Price, ease of use, powerful and high, undistorted volume.
Cons: Does not display time when unit is off.
Equalizer is minimal. Bass is minimal and muddy at highest position.

I had a Sony deck in the car and the radio reception was horrible and the controls were confusing. I read the reviews and purchased one for approx the same price and the radio reception is wonderful and its much easier to operate. Bluetooth, CD, radio works flawlessly. Very happy with purchase

I replaced the radio in my truck because it 'ate' a CD. Not really a big fan of broadcast radio and I don't drive enough to warrant Sirius so I was looking for ways to play "my" music in the truck. Obviously I could burn CD's but this Alpine radio has bluetooth & a USB port so I can connect to my phone to play Pandora or stick in a flash drive with my own MP3's. My only criticism is that the bluetooth configuration doesn't let me easily connect my phone for media only. I use a bluetooth headset for calls and don't want to try to talk through the radio.

I have this professionally installed at SoReal sound and they did a great job they did the soldering of the wires. The Bluetooth works great, USB AUX cable awesome, the detachable face faceplate is very convenient and the handy caring case, it's awesome so I have nothing but good things to say about this. There's a microphone that runs up to my sun visor, again, a great reason to have this professionally installed. I upgraded from a stock stereo that had CD only.

Very good reception. Nice sound. But read the manual. REPEAT. READ THE MANUAL! You'll save yourself a great deal of time and trouble. The controls are not particularly intuitive.

Great radio for your car if you have no aux input

I got this radio since my car has no auxiliary input, no casette player, and only a CD player. I could only play music through CDs or one of those radio frequency things that didn't work very well since my car only let you scan to good playing stations instead of selecting a bad one to connect with. This radio fixed it all! It works well and is easy to use and even shows the artist and song. The only problem is that there isn't a clock.

Overall a great stereo. Static noise at times, but could be because of a bad antenna adapter that I'm using. Other than that, great quality. Easy installations a well.

I originally purchased this unit for installation in my tractor. It would give hands-free ability for cell phone and music for entertainment. I was going to use a USB cord to be able to listen to Sirius radio through my phone, but turned not needed (except for charging) because the radio also does Bluetooth audio.
I am so pleased with this unit, I am buying another to install in my pickup.

I have been a fan of Alpine car stereos for over 20 years. This unit does not disappoint. Easy, fairly intuitive controls, great sound, good display and mostly big enough buttons. Bluetooth works well most of the time, although occasionally it just fails to pick up the phone. Biggest drawback is the limited volume options on Bluetooth--many callers sound overmodulated even with the incoming volume set at minimum. Still, overall performance is satisfactory plus for the price.

Even though the literature it comes with states it's compatible with the iPod 3rd gen, 4th gen and iPod mini (There are the classic iPods) the radio can't recognize them. But works well with my modded 240GB iPod 5th gen and my 512GB modded iPod 7th gen both classic of course. I like taking calls without the need to an earpiece. Also, the connection was easy since it uses the same plug as the 2007 Alpine system it replaced.

Great system for my jeep

I'm so glad I invested in a new stereo system eventhough this Jeep is a 1998. It makes all the difference. I've been listening to the Great Courses on CD and able to talk to clients on the phone using the BLuetooth function without any problems at all. I'm getting a new vehicle soon and this Jeep will go to my 18 year old. He's even MORE excited because it has the plug for his ipod.
When I chose the system the salesperson pointed out that this one had the free install if the system was over a certain amount of money. I was psyched! THen when they did it they called and said the "offer" expired the day before. I said that it was clearly posted next to the stereo AND the salesperson pointed it out to me as a selling point. I did try to insist that they should stick with what they said but they said the manager said no and the only thing they could do was deduct the $40 for the "estimate" on what was wrong with the sound system before they installed it. eg: I picked out a system and speakers so that IF the system was busted they knew what I wanted and if the speakers were the problem they knew what I wanted.
