    These things slam. I actually had one 12 installed about 8 years ago and won one of the rookie leage compititions. I was blown away by how loud it was. Was a little over 144 decibals in an suv.

    Works great. Bought to replace a five or six year old of the same type. This is actually a duel voice coil which is what I needed.

    Worked great with alpine amp wired for 2ohms. Filled my F150 supercrew cab with enough bass for my taste. Single sub in Metra ported truck box under seat.

    This is my second sd12. I still have my first one from 10 years ago and there has never been an issue. Get a good true 600 watt rms amp to pair it with and you'll never look back!

    Confusesd with the 2 different watts and rms to the similar subwoofer..mines say 600watts 1800 peak..im running it on a Mrv500 alpine monoblock..I have this woofer bought it ....and it pounded for a lil while now its seem like I'm searching for that bass all over again...good for a beginning sub...I expected more for the full price I paid..dissatisfied wit my first alpine subwoofer...
